On the last weekend of the Summer stroll I landed on Francisco street. You will see a line and once inside you will find lots of bake goods. I ordered the classic croissant and it was flakey like some in SF. It was buttery and tasty. I also got the Corn Proscuitto Croissant and was corny like some on social media feed. I then got the Rice Roll Special Bun which was my favorite and it was savory with lots flavor. I washed it all down with Apple Pie Matcha for Don Juan De La Matcha. In my judgement Butter and Crumble is one of the best bakery in the city. They didn't ask for a temperature, and I normally eat my meat rare, so I was a little nervous. But it was still juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Argentina knows its beef. And then there's the owner, who made the experience even better. He was genuinely kind, and we ended up having a great conversation about his garden, his house in Buenos Aires, and his country Argentina. That kind of personal connection is something you don't always get when you're grabbing lunch. Great food. Great prices. Very welcoming.
