Portion's a bit smaller, galbi is good and lots of side dishes, they'll grill the meat for you which is nice. Seafood pancakes are skippable, my piece was extra thick and tasted a bit bland even with the dipping sauce. We're also got the beef squid soup and that was meh too. Pork belly was just ok too, nothing too memorable from the meal.

Huge portions. Fresh ingredients. Bountiful banchans. Tasty! Convenient bell at each table to flag down your waitstaff. Very popular and busy.

If you're looking for the superb service you're looking at the wrong place, however if you are looking for heartwarming belly filling meal you're in the right place. We showed up for a late dinner ordered the Seolleongtang and one order of the Saeng Galbi. The Seolleongtang was good, as always you adjust your seasoning to taste. The Galbi was tender, juicy and flavorful even though it was cooked inside and not table top. This establishment is not known for nice service but it gives a traditional old style Korean restaurant feel. My girlfriend didn't like how she felt like we are being rushed out, however the sea of banchan and the food that came made her forget about that. Just know what you're looking and have the right expectations for it! Very solid restaurant on my book.

Pretty solid Korean restaurant. We came for lunch and they have a LOT of lunch specials. I usually do not take pictures of menus but 3 pages of lunch specials. Had to take pics of that. The name of this restaurant means Galbi Town but we usually do not order the galbi as we like some of their other dishes better. We order ojingoe dolpan (squid, vegetables and rice in a lot plate) and ttaro gukbap (bean sprouts, noodles in spicy soup). Very traditional dishes and enjoyable. Friends seemed to enjoy their dishes. They gave a good amount of banchan (complimentary side dishes) although there were 5 of us so picture is a little misleading. PRO tip: you can ask for refills of the banchan that you like even though it is free (just don't go overboard). Service was a little slow but not horrible. Interior is your typical Korean upscale IKEA vibe. Overall pretty solid.

Have not been here since my parents had soured on it. They were known for their lunch specials and the bountiful ban chan but I guess for a while they were being a little chintzy. There are so many other Korean restaurants in Queens so there is no need to go where ban chan is not plentiful. As an aside, shame on those LI "Korean" restaurants that charge for ban chan (appetizers), a big part of the Korean food eating experience is the INCLUDED appetizers. So we went and tried this place again. As you can see, ban chan was not lacking. It was tasty and when replenished when asked. I ordered the Ttaro gukbap which is a homey soup that comforts your tummy. It was just the right amount of spice, filled with vegetables noodles and whatever else is in there. Really enjoyed it! As with all restaurants, the prices have gone up but can't blame the restaurant for that. Great place to grab a Korean lunch special!

Enjoyed the crab, broccoli and potatoes. Service is fast and hospitable, didn't have to wait too long for the food. Roasted fish tasted good, and the meat was delicious. And the place gave a really nice feeling.

It's been awhile! I love their yukgyejang. This is my go to place for that soup. Hands down best one with classic ingredients. I hate when places put their own twist to the soup. As always comes with good variety of side dishes! The other dish is a must try is their dolpan bibimbab. Most places have a hot stone bowl but here it's a hot stone plate. So good!

This is a great kbbq spot in queens if you're also looking for an authentic Korean kinda dated restaurant vibe. I personally prefer this over the more modern and flashier kbbq restaurants. It was my first time here and def will not be my last! I loved all the banchan they gave as that isn't usual these days. They even gave marinated crab banchan!! I forgot to take photos of the marinated galbi and other short rib we ordered but it was great! I felt like it was pretty worth it for the quality but also the banchans themselves. The ladies working were also super sweet and friendly although they were hard to flag down sometimes. I'll def come back here!

The food overall is amazing, and the staff are one of the most observant, attentive, and kind people. I was so shocked how fast the food came and the speed of the service. The only thing I wished was for the portions to be bigger.

    So much banchan!

Food: 3.5/5 This is a kalbi spot but we didn't order the kalbi. We ordered yookhae bibimbap, yookgaejang and the fish. Everything was surprisingly very tasteful. The bibimbap serving was huge with very generous portions of vegetables and beef. The yookgaejang had a very generous portion of meat and scallions. The fish was cooked perfectly cooked too. The side dishes here are pretty impressive. I've never been to a Korean restaurant with that much banchan! Lots of vegetables and the food tasted very clean. Service: 5/5 The ladies here are very friendly. They made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The were constantly checking in on us. Ambiance: 3/5 Not the prettiest place. Typical Korean restaurant. Nothing too impressive. Parking in the back.

I've been here twice and can tell the meat is very fresh and well prepared. I can't even name a favorite, just loved everything! The meat staircase is definitely something to try - so many cuts and good portion size. You get two to three pieces of each protein. It's a great value. Service (5/5): This is a self-cook, manning your own meat establishment. The food comes out prepared on trays at fairly quick speed. Burners worked well and were changed out when burned. The burner seemed small but we were able to cook fast enough to keep everyone happy. Food (4/5): For 6 of us (4F & 2M), we ordered just the right amount of food: Meat Lover's Stair Combo, Beef combo, veggie platter, 2 rice. I'd say that all of the meat was super tender but nothing stood out too much. None of the meat was marinated except for 1 meat in the stair combo that turned out to be everyone's favorite. For all that food it was about $40/pp. A free small cup of Hershey's vanilla ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall, had a great time and good food!

There was a lot of energy in the place. The wait staff were friendly. Food was great but was pricey per skewer. Food 5/5: Delicious and tasted close to skewer cart (this is a win!). Would have loved to try more things but some skewers were up to $3 each so it got pricey fast. They did have a large selection of skewers to choose from. You get a wrist band with a QR code that tracks what skewers you order. Non-skewer items could be ordered using your phone. Everything was fresh. They had house-made spice and sauce packets at each table. Every table had a cheat sheet showing how long to barbecue each type of skewer. We tried the bbq scallops which were full of garlicky goodness and cold noodles which was a refreshing balance to the heat of the grill. Service 5/5: Friendly waiter. Gave us the run down on how things worked in the restaurant. Periodically checked in on us. No complaints. Ambiance 4/5: Prefacing that the high energy environment was not really my cup of tea but I know others may prefer it. Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the more upscale all-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue restaurants in…read moreFlushing, specializing in premium wagyu beef, sushi, seafood, and table-side grilling. We walked into a modern interior with a lively atmosphere, the kind of space that works well for groups or special occasions. The dining room had a polished, energetic feel with the grills built into each table and the staff moving efficiently between stations. Unlike most AYCE barbecue spots, the focus here is on higher quality cuts of beef, and the staff regularly came by to help grill the meat, making the experience feel more polished than a typical buffet. The wagyu is the main reason to visit. We ordered a selection and found the meat well marbled, tender, and noticeably better than what you would typically find at standard Korean or Japanese barbecue buffets. Depending on the menu we chose, there was a wide selection of Australian, American, and Japanese wagyu, along with sushi, sashimi, seafood, and other side dishes. Every meal also began with a cheese lobster, which came out rich and creamy, a nice addition before the barbecue started. We appreciated that the portions were generous, so it was better to order gradually instead of trying to sample everything at once, and the variety across the menu gave us room to explore different cuts and preparations. The dessert selection ended up being one of the biggest surprises. Fresh fruit like pineapple and cantaloupe was exceptionally sweet, and the soft serve and other desserts were a refreshing way to finish such a heavy meal. It helped balance out all of the rich meats, making the meal feel more complete instead of ending on another savory course. Service was another standout. The staff frequently checked on the table, replaced grills when needed, and helped cook and cut the meat to ensure everything was prepared properly. Since the restaurant is popular, reservations are a good idea during peak dinner hours, though the experience ran smoothly once we were seated. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the flow steady without feeling rushed. Overall, Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the stronger premium AYCE barbecue experiences in Flushing. The quality of the wagyu, attentive service, and wide variety of barbecue, sushi, seafood, and desserts help justify the higher price. It is more expensive than a typical barbecue buffet, but if you are looking for a higher-end all-you-can-eat experience centered around quality wagyu, it is worth considering.

They cook everything right in front of you, unlike kbbq places where you cook meat yourself. I also appreciated the good ventilation, we didn't smell like meat at all after leaving the restaurant! Additional notes: - we thought it was funny that they put sprinkles in the potato salad, it may seem kind of odd but definitely very Chinese (compliment btw) - it ended up being almost $50 pp for 4 people - we got lucky and didn't have to wait, but I hear there's usually a line, so definitely call ahead to suss out the wait
