Spicy Beef Noodle soup was very good. I liked how very at home it made me feel while also the side dishes were very fresh. This place seems more known for their pork back soup but I was more in the mood for beef so I opted for the spicy beef soup. The texture of the beef was fall apart and the meat was well seasoned. I came by because I happened to be in the area and had been craving goat soup so badly. For some reason, the LA spots that serve it aren't open on Sundays T_T The soup was underwhelming. Didn't taste very deep or have any perilla seed taste. I also found the dipping sauce to be underwhelming. Again, no perilla seeds :( They also gave me THE smallest bowl of rice ever. Lucky for them we were planning on getting fried rice after so we didn't say anything but wth?! I would have been pissed if I wasn't. Came here 07/09/2022. I've been eating at Gamja Tang House for the past 10 years and it has never let me down. Their gamja tang portion size is easily enough for two people and served with a variety of nutritious banchan. The meat is tender and succulent and the broth is seasoned perfectly. The prices have also kept reasonable through the recent inflation. I'd expect to spend $15-$17 for lunch. If you come in a party of 3-4 people, I suggest to get the "jungol" version instead, which is a large shared pot of soup rather than individual portions. Gave them a visit because my mom was craving pork neck stew. We ordered their Spicy Pork Casserole, Black Goat Casserole, Marinated Bulgogi, and Clam Noodle Soup. Everything was delicious but their Black Goat Casserole was VERY gamy if you dont like goat. I was not expecting the flavor of the soup to be that gamy but it definitely overpowered the dish. My wife and I were in the mood for Korean stew and we found this modest restaurant in Buena Park, near Beach and La Mirada. What struck us right away were the selection of stews and soups. She ordered the gamjatang, and I ordered the bulgogi soup in hot pot. The gamjatang came to us in a hot pot with an oily bright red broth filled with large chunks of pork bones. As we expected, the pork was fall of the bone good. But you have to break it apart to get at all the goodness in between the bones. My bulgogi came in a clear broth with thin glass noodles. The broth was rich in beef flavor, with a hint of sweetness that rounded out the dish. This is probably one of the best meals we have had in this area of Buena Park, which is saying a lot considering all the wonderful choices nearby. read more

Potato beef soup. Its your specialty and yet this is how you serve your deliveries? Unacceptable. Def getting a 1 star. More than half of the container was filled to the rim with bones. Bones that normally would have meat, in this case barely cartilage and little bits of meat on the side. At least be more generous with the potatoes. But no i only fished one potato out of here. The gam ja tang is pretty good here. The soup has a very deep and spicy taste which I really like. I love that the meat falls off the bones when you bite into it. It's much easier to eat than other gam ja tang places I've been to. The only reason why I'm taking off one star is I wish they had more potatoes in the soup. I literally got one tiny potato but I remember this soup having more potatoes with the meat. Besides that, I will definitely be coming back!! read more

Good portion, Flavorful neck bone soup and fast service. Just two of us we ordered the med size pork bone soup. There's as least 8 neck bones. There's not many varieties of banchan , free refills on banchan. Made fried rice as requested at end with the left over soup. Man.... what happened. It had been a really long time since I came here and I absolutely loved this place along with their Garden Grove location. The good times are gone, the food portions and quality totally let me down. The large spicy pork-neck potato stew literally only had 2 small potatoes in it and a small portion of veggies. There was a good amount of meat but they seriously skimped on the vegetables. There is a big sign showing the extra charges for more ingredients. They even charge extra for rice now too. The stew had the good flavor that I remember but this time around it was way too oily. They don't do the fried rice with your leftover stew at your table anymore but take your stew to the back. Not sure why, that doesn't exactly fit with health code standards either. Overall, I was really disappointed on returning here after many years.
