Disappointing, love the Gambino, their name sake. My brother and I had not been back in a while. We went today June 30th at 6:45. Ordered a large Gambino. When it arrived it was barely warm. First bite, little or no tomato sauce. It had a load of other ingredients. With out the tomato sauce, it was bland, and being just warm, completely took away from the flavor. Servers name was Grace. Not very friendly. The food was good but there was a broken toothpick in my daughter's turkey sandwich. My daughter bit into it and it cut the roof of her mouth. I told our server and she didn't seem to care. I just think she should have shown some sort of sympathy. Grace didn't check on us or give refills, but I can see that the place was busy that day. Food quality was very mediocre and over priced. The menu selection is thin - with 10 possible entrees and 3 soups. Of the 10 entrees, one is plain spaghetti, one is mac'n cheese, one is lasagna....not exactly exciting or authentic. Bruschetta was flavorful compote on Texas Toast? The pizza was so flavorful and baked just right. The crust had a great crunch while still being soft inside. Cheese was melty and delicious, and the toppings tasted super fresh. The server was kind and checked in at just the right times. I liked the cozy and casual atmosphere too. read more

We were in town for an event. We usually stay at a hotel with a restaurant. This time we didn't and wanted something decent for dinner. The hotel desk clerk recommended Gambino's. We were glad we followed her recommendation. We got a stuffed pizza with meatballs, spinach and mushrooms. If you love cheese and fresh ingredients Gambino's is for you. We got the pizza to go so I can't comment on the service or ambiance but I will say the pizza was done when they said it would be and was cooked perfectly. We were there on Friday, 12/12/25. We really enjoyed our pizza and wish we had one in Northern Idaho. I highly recommend Gambino's. read more

Sadly, Gambino's isn't like it used to be under the new management. I haven't been here since before the new management, and we brought friends from out of town the other night to experience what we loved about Gambino's: the pricing, the food, the portions, the service. We were very underwhelmed to say it nicely. Prices - yes, inflation made prices higher, but $13 for the garlic knots now? At least $5 more. Portions are very different now too. Husband ordered the meatball appetizer and there is hardly any extra sauce (for all the bread you get, you'd think there would more sauce to mop). Friends ordered mac and cheese, chicken Alfredo, and the sampler. VERY BLAND for the Mac n cheese and Alfredo - the husband, who is a chef , even tried theirs and didn't want to bring it home. Even with salt and pepper, it was flavorless. The sampler (choose 3 items) wasn't spilling into each other (I ordered this many times before) and it was more like little scoops of food which didn't dare touch each other. I ordered the #71, another staple if you frequent Gambino's, but with the new plating, you're given a smaller amount and I hardly took the rest home. Chicken was breaded and cut and placed on top of the dish, but in the past, sauce would be over it and it was "gooier" (better cheesiness). Service was okay. Got refills of our drinks, but nothing stellar (and it wasn't busy). read more

If you have any type of dietary restriction or food allergy, you should not come here. We ordered a cheese deep dish pizza and found bits of sausage, pepperoni and onion in the pizza. When I tried a slice of the pizza, there was a distinct onion flavor in the sauce and cheese. Fortunately, neither of us were allergic - but to have other ingredients in the pizza we ordered wasn't acceptable. We did come here Sunday evening after Idaho's homecoming, so it's very possible that we came at a bad time and their kitchen is usually more careful. Especially frustrating that since the deep dish takes a while to order, my friend couldn't order an actual cheese deep dish pizza and ended up not being able to eat any deep dish. To their credit, the service itself was great - the waiter was busy but he was still attentive so we were able to alert him to this issue quickly. He said that he made the kitchen aware of this issue. The deep dish itself was good. It look like this place is trying to mirror Giordano's in Chicago (and it goes a bit over the top with the Chicago theme). My rating is only because of the cross-contamination issue - we shouldn't order a cheese and get other food in it. read more

This was a sort of a ridiculous experience. I ordered chicken parm, and the breading came completely off, so its was soggy breading and plain tasteless chicken. The sauce was simply a cheap Prego, not even really good. Brutal. If you cant do chicken parm and you're an Italian restaurant, you need to do some soul searching, and it's the second time this has happened, shame on me for ordering again. it's kind of like Five Guys not being able to make a hamburger. My girlfriend received a pasta dish with vegetables in it, but they were really raw and tough to eat. Also, the drinks we ordered were super tiny. This restaurant wouldn't survive in a community with more competition. The portions were huge, but quality poor. read more

Gambino's used to be my go-to happy hour place. A HH tall mug of beer was hands down the best deal in town. In 2024 they *greatly* increased happy hour and drink prices. I get it, rising prices is story of the times, but now a non-happy hour 22-ounce beer for $9 is just a lot... I can't remember what happy hour prices are but I did a triple take when I got my check. Given the limited number of places in town that have full bars, the cocktails and bar scene are pretty underwhelming. Despite Gambino's being SUH-LAMMED on most football and parent weekends, I've always thought the food was pretty middle of the road. Garlic twists and fried pickles are fine. I've been mostly underwhelmed by other menu items. Pizzas are ok- crust is medium thickness and doughy, neither Chicago nor nicely crispy. After watching the Whale (featuring Gambino's deliveries) all I wanted was a decent meatball sub and was SO disappointed when I ordered one and got meatballs on a piece of Texas toast. What I would give for a decent East coast-style Italian restaurant chicken parm or meatball sub with some crispy broiled cheese in Moscow!! read more

Gambinos has always had a reputation for good portion sizes, good food, and fair prices, that has changed along with a recent shift in management. The food quality of our favorites was still good Our service was fantastic. We were slightly confused when my wife's $16 Lasagna portion was the same price, but about 25% smaller than usual. We were completely taken aback when we received the check. A pint of beer that used to cost ~$5 was $9! I have paid $8 or $9 for a "nice" beer in Moscow, but the new pricing is just completely outside of the range of reality. Even the specialty tap room next door prices their beers between about $6-8. I generally understand the need to raise costs with inflation, but the beer menu doesn't have prices and we did not see note of pricing changes anywhere on the menu and that was a bit off-putting as a repeat customer. Our server was fantastic and even apologetic when we inquisitively asked about the obvious changes to our usual bill. Unfortunately, we don't have much of a reason to go back with other food and drink options in town at a similar level of quality that are much more reasonably priced. The most I can do is hope the 25-50% increase in cost to the customers has been reflected in the staffs' paychecks. read more

Such an amazing experience tonight at Gambino's. The service was top notch and the food was delectable. We started with arancinis and fried mozzarella. Both were delightful. The arancinis are a must try! Amazing flavor and a crunchy outer shell. For entrées we ordered the Wrigley pizza and the balsamic chicken salad. The Wrigley was perfect, tons of toppings and thin crunchy crust. The salad was tangy and fresh and a generous portion size. We will definitely be back soon. Not excited about the food and service was trying to keep up, but it just wasn't happening. I think we got there around the time a game got out on a Saturday around 4:30. It was starting to get busy. We were seated, didn't see a server for about 20 minutes. We were ready with our order- drinks, wings, pizza and a deluxe house salad. Drinks and wings came out pronto. Points off in my book because I don't like breaded wings, to me that's not traditional and that's what I ordered. The salad and pizza arrived about 20 mins later. The pizza was meh, too much cheese (never thought that was possible), a little on the cold side and just not great. There were a lot of toppings but they seemed like an afterthought, not staying on the pizza and definitely not hot. The salad is bagged precut with iceberg, carrots and red cabbage, a little brown and no dressing. About 15 minutes later we flagged down our server and got dressing. It was the most disappointing salad I have had in a long time. Our server was friendly and seemed like he was running at a hectic pace. I felt bad for him. Oh, and if you want more than one paper napkin per person, be prepared to hunt it down yourself. Come on, it's messy wings and pizza. Don't be stingy! read more

Unfortunately, not a great experience for my family of 5. We went on a very busy Saturday evening. It was a 50 minute wait, which was perfectly fine and expected. Once seated, our waitress was out right away to grab our drinks and appetizers, we also put our order right away as we had ample time before hand to look over the menu. The menu itself is fine. There's not much that makes this place special or unique. For being extremely busy, our waitress did a pretty good job at being attentive to our table, plus our appetizer came out extremely quick. 40 minutes later though, and our main food came out. Not a big deal. However, we did notice we were missing silverware. We asked for some and our waitress came back with PLASTIC SILVERWARE.... She stated that's all they had left. In my opinion, when you spend $175 on dinner, you'd better be getting actual silverware. Completely unacceptable and not one attempt was made to correct this. We still tipped the waitress because it probably wasn't her fault, but management needs to do a much better job and making sure their dishes are getting done so guests don't have to eat with plastic knifes and forks... also, food was good, just not spectacular. read more

Food is halfway decent, it is fun for a lunch but not what I recommend off the bat. Typically end up here with some older folk/family so that seems to be the target group. Went today with my party of five. Now let me start by saying we joined a party of 3 that was already there and finishing up. Had 2 pretty noisy boys but otherwise was fine. My issues: service was fine at the beginning but after we got our food no one ever checked on us, asked if we wanted the soup or salad with the meal and then charged us for it. They implied it came with the meal when it did not. Never offered refills. Gave themselves automatic gratuity even though the party of 3 we joined had already completed their dining experience. Some places go downhill this place dove off a cliff. A 40 minute wait, the salads sucked. The stuffed crust pizza has always been great this time it wasn't as good as a five dollar little Ceasar. I spent 3 months in Moscow helping my uncle recover from an accident. I'm from LA and my office is in Chicago. Gambino's stuffed pizza is literally the best Chicago style pizza I've had outside of Chicago. The first time my family took me they said, ewwww we don't want "stuffed" pizza. I made them order it and now they can't order anything else. They should change the name from "stuffed" to "Chicago". Only complaint is that they can't get enough help to stay open during their posted business hours. read more

This is one of my favorite family Italian restaurants. They're very consistent, and have Chicago pot pie, which I always order. I've had bites of other menu items and they're great, but this is the only place I know outside Chicago that does the pot pie, so I must order it lol! The staff is great, and all were in protective gear under the current situation. We went on Sat night, and were very lucky to not have to wait. Hubby got his fave bacon and onion pizza, and they cooked it like he loves, using raw bacon before it goes in the oven. He was over the moon as you could imagine, because not a lot of places will do that. The nice manager even came by to see how it was, and said as we left he might even try it that way. The portion was way more than I thought it would be! The restaurant itself was very warm and inviting. Parking was a nightmare but that's okay, I did a few laps around the block to find a spot. I really love the atmosphere here and the hostess/servers were very friendly.
