It was fun to take the girls in to play and watch previews of new games out for the Nintendo Switch. We have a neighborhood of 4 kids who love playing these games together. Getting ready for the holiday being able to play the actual games helps the girls decide what they enjoy besides just watching the trailers. I was all excited that Mario had an RPG game. I thought he had an RPG like Ratchet and Clank did. Nope it means role playing game. So it would be more difficult for our girls. Another reason why I came in person so I could learn. Game Stop offers a lot more than they did when they first opened. Lots of Funko Pop and gaming memorabilia. Clean organized and friendly store. Have any questions? Don't be shy and just ask. A lot of the employees have been playing even the newer games and are very helpful. If they don't have something in stock they can let you know who does, confirm it for you, and even call and have them hold it sometimes. Orderiing online is available as well. They now have an annual membership you can sign up for to get discounts. So annoying, but if you game a lot you may benefit from the perks. Not for me personally. read more

I preordered the PS5 DualSense controller dock back in November 2020. I finally receive it in April 2021, however, it's not even the correct dock. It's some third party unit that I didn't preorder. I got a refund but I'm pretty disappointed in this GameStop for trying to give me the third party unit even though my receipt and preorder was clearly for the DualSense one. Why would I preorder a third party device when the officially licensed Sony one is supposedly available as well? I've wasted 6 months waiting for this $30 control dock and I still don't have it and unfortunately GameStop isn't taking any more preorders for said docks. I usually go to the one located on Dysart and Mcdowell but this one was much closer at the time when I was running errands. I'm going to just stick to going to the other one. I had bought an item here and when I used it, it began to malfunction. I was going to return it for another one but didn't feel like going through it again and they had a limited supply for headsets. Also the guy who sold it to me had a bit of an attitude when I returned it and isn't very customer service friendly. read more

If I could leave a negative 5 stars, I would. It isn't this store in particular, but GameStop as a whole. I purchased what I thought was considered an "accessory," for the PlayStation, just 2 weeks ago. I paid $344 for that thing. I get it home and realized very quick that it was a waste of money. There are only a couple of decent games for it. So I decide I'm going to take it back, and exchange it for something else. Everything was packed up nicely, all pieces present and packaged. I had the receipt. I go to take it back and am told that I can't return it or exchange it for anything. Why, I asked. Well, GameStop calls the VR a console. Huh?? So I asked the rep, "Oh, so it can be used without the PlayStation then?" He says, "Well, no." Okay, I'm confused now! If it needs the PlayStation to power it, it is in fact an accessory of the PlayStation, right??!! So I am stuck with this $344 machine that is useless without the PlayStation, but yet I can't return it because they labeled it a console. Then I am told that they would only give me $50 "in store," credit towards an exchange of something else. Wow, ok. So I was a loyal customer for 3 years, but will no longer be using GameStop. Even Walmart will let you return, exchange, and give you your money back, for anything but DVD's and opened Games, if it's within 30 days, and you have a receipt. Maybe they should take some lessons from Walmart. read more

As always, easily done transaction, with a fast, friendly service. My absolute favorite person at this Gamestop is Jessica. She's always ready to help, smile on her face, and even able to help different customers at the same time. I was going in today to pick up a video game, she rung me up, and while this was going on a woman behind us who was looking around in the store continued (interrupt somewhat rudely) to yell over questions about items she had, asking "would my son know what this is?" Overall she was able to help her, and help me. It'd made it all the more cooler because during our conversation she even remembered me, even though I hadn't gone within a month. It's the small things like that, that show true, friendly, customer service is still alive. Jessica is amazing! I would absolutely recommend this location. read more
