Great bartenders Jackie and Ashley. Lobster roll delicious, wings very good. Relaxed vibe.

Very clean place. Great atmosphere with a nice bar and plenty of tv's to watch the sports games. I had a bowl of clam chowder which was really frigin hot and tasty. Nice and hearty. Then I ordered chorizo tacos. Could have been spiced up a little. Then for dessert I had the cookie pie in a skillet, which was also hot and delicious. Bathroom very clean. Ashley was a good bartender. I met Dennis and Ben. Thought dessert was free but I guess it's all good! Thank you. Prices are reasonable and kudos to Claire. Such an amazing waitress! I'll be back.

    Great ribeye!

This is a nice family restaurant bar that has a good selection on the menu. The service was fine, attentive but not hovering. There's plenty of seeding until it gets crowded. As always the star of the show is the food. I had a perfectly cooked ribeye steak, with a with a twice baked potato that was outstanding and green beans were fresh, and not overdone. Excellent value and delicious food and large portions. This one is really worth a try.

We will be dreaming about those wings for years to come! Excellent service. Good drinks, cute Irish tavern feel. Would highly recommend!

    Seared salmon sandwich

Stopped in for a late lunch with two friends because we were in the area. Our server, Luka, was exceptional and quite personable; he's a young guy (early 20s) from Macedonia living and working around the States in resort areas (he's adorable with a wide smile, Ladies, so if you're young and hip, head his way!). But Yelp is about restaurants and not dating profiles, so apologies for my digression... I had the pan seared salmon sandwich, which was served with fries and the condiments (cilantro aioli, sweet sriracha and ketchup). The salmon was very good, and I especially enjoyed slathering the pretzel roll with both the aioli & sriracha. My friend had the cheeseburger flatbread, Gannon's take on the Big Mac. It was a generous portion, and while she liked it, she didn't love it; maybe dice the pickles next time? The other friend (who was already scheduled for a meal later in the afternoon) had a Bloody Mary made-to-order (which was no horseradish & a little vodka) and the cheese & crackers off the app menu, which was a cup of pub cheese and Triscuits. Again, what made this meal stand out was Luka's service--a very effective story teller and conversationalist. There were a bunch of apps I wanted to try, but I only had so much "room". Next time, I'll eat off the apps menu.

Service was excellent, food was delicious and very fresh and portions were big. Spring cocktail was perfect! Cold and tasty! Fish and chips were also very good. Beer batter was easy, crisp and fish was fresh as could be! No complaints from this satisfied customer. Will definitely return. Atmosphere is exactly what you would expect for a tavern setting.

    Perfect cocktail!

This year we came back because of how outstanding last year was. I ordered the chili again, even though I knew it meant I probably wouldn't eat my whole meal. My friend ordered the fish and chips and upgraded to truffle fries. She said it was probably the best fish and chips she's had. Now... for my meal... I am not exaggerating... BEST meal I have EVER had. Ever. I had the cod. Baked. With pesto, and sun-dried tomatoes. Served with roasted potatoes and spinach. So flaky. So tender. Perfectly cooked. The flavor was something straight from heaven. Breaks my heart I'm not local. I'd eat this weekly. All of the staff is always so friendly. The TV screens are perfectly placed, the bartenders are friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The pizza was excellent -- flavorful, hot, and done just right. We also tried the meatloaf, and it genuinely reminded us of our grandmother's from years ago -- comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. That's not something you find everywhere. Even in the middle of winter, the place had a warm, lively vibe. We ended up having a great conversation with someone we later found out was the owner -- just chatting about everyday life. That kind of genuine hospitality says a lot. Good food, great service, and an easygoing atmosphere. Thanks for a great experience -- we'll definitely be back!

The chefs are true artists, imagining and executing haute cuisine with skill, precision, and personality. We opted for the optional caviar starter course, which was brilliant. The caviar, served with Pringles potato chips and tangy egg salad, was an exquisite introduction to the tasting menu. The house-made sourdough focaccia with homemade butter may have been the best bread we've eaten. The dayboat scallop was pan-seared and paired with ginger whey-poached pork belly, Anson Mills Carolina Gold lobster congee, and a sake-soy veil. It was incredible. The peas and carrots course of Thumbelina carrots, sweet peas, whipped coconut, and carrot-mint consommé was unlike anything we've experienced before. It was inspired. The fluke was sorrel brioche-crusted and accompanied by razor clam escabeche, sauce romesco, and sea beans, was magnificent. The chef spoke about harvesting the local sea beans himself, and the razor clam purveyor happened to be dining alongside us. It was a memorable and distinctly Cape Cod moment. The intermezzo was a cranberry membrane filled with a refreshing burst of vodka, and delightfully cleansed the palate. The optional foie gras bonbon, encased in milk chocolate, was another triumph. We agreed we would have missed out had we passed on it. It was one of the finest foie gras bites we've ever enjoyed. The tri-tip sirloin course featured American Wagyu with sweet onion soubise and toasted ramp-and-vinegar gnocchi. "Amazing" hardly begins to describe it. The Humboldt Fog cheese course was dramatically torched tableside and served with blueberry shallot jam, toasted milk bread, and smoked almonds. Sublime, artistic, and utterly delicious. The included dessert course featured caramelized white chocolate, lychee, pink guava sorbet, macadamia toffee, white chocolate gel, and olive oil sponge. It was unbelievably good. An optional dessert accompaniment, ordered by every diner, was a layered chocolate, shortbread, and banana tart topped with caviar was a playful and fitting finale. The charming atmosphere, attentive staff, and excellent music had diners on their feet dancing between courses. We finished with their homemade Mignardises and were given a lovely packet to take home which included a homemade scone. This restaurant is wildly civilized. Many courses were served on beautiful handcrafted pieces from Scargo Pottery in Dennis collaboratively designed by the chef and the talented Scargo artist Tina Holl. I offer only praise and gratitude for the extraordinary food, welcoming atmosphere, talented and artistic staff, and a dining experience that reminds us how exceptional Cape Cod dining can be. Clean Slate delivered one of the most memorable meals we've had anywhere on the Cape.

My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

Lucas was our server and he got us situated with some beverages first, we had the bad bunny, which we had tried before and was excellent and a new raspberry gin martini on the cocktail list which was so tasty the second round we got two of those. For appetizers we had the oysters which were shucked beautifully and were served with a wonderful mignonette, and beef chicharrones which were light and delicious. We had another slightly heartier round of appetizers, the lamb rotolini and stuffed squash blossoms, both of which were also scrumptious. For entrees we had the local striped bass and jerk pork shank. The bass was cooked perfectly and the caponata served with it complemented the fish very well. Lucas also recommended a Chardonnay that paired with the bass wonderfully. The pork shank really stole the show though first of all it was huge, and it was also so tender. The curry mayo served with it I want to use as a condiment for everything for the rest of my life. For dessert we had the blueberry vacherine. The lemon and blueberry in it had a wonderful blend of tart and sweet, and was very light and easy to eat after our large meals. The restaurant looks much bigger from the outside than when you actually get inside. There is an entry foyer and a dining room and Tavern in a separate room. I pictured the restaurant to be much different than it actually was. We sat in a booth in the Tavern. It was a busy weekend night and was rather loud in there from patrons at the bar. The music seemed to be primarily 70's rock. The service was excellent and waitstaff were very attentive. I had a cup of the squash bisque which was a recommendation of one of the waitstaff, sour dough rolls, and then half broiled chicken, mashed, broccoli and cranberry ginger chutney. The chicken was moist and tender and the bisque was creamy and smooth. Veg and potato were delicious also. I think the cranberry chutney would be better without the ginger as it had a strong ginger taste and cranberry would have gone better with something like orange or nuts in it. I had a glass of Berringer white zin and for dessert, the toasted almond cake. My friend had white clam chowder, scrod, with mashed and broccoli, and a molten lava cake and she enjoyed hers as well. Be sure to sit in the dining room if you go there on a weekend night because the bar is very loud. Everything was very good. My only complaint would be the loud dining area.
