Great fresh healthy wraps. Ordered chicken kebab, bbq chicken and chicken Gansett Wraps. Love bbq chicken and chicken kebabs. Sauce is great. Delivered within 20 mins, friendly service. Fresh ingredients and most important of all!!!! I LOVE their Baklava !!! So delicious and so guilty. Ordered 10 pieces during finals night and binge eating their dessert. It's great! read more

Students up at UCONN have a great new off campus option here. The staff is very friendly and diligent and the place is spotless. I ordered a gyro beef kebab wrap and we ordered a side of fries which was enough for 3 of us! The fries were excellent. I'll definitely be back next time on campus! read more

Went here for take out during Corona Virus. The manager or owner was all on his own and made excellent wraps and fresh fries really quick. We were grateful they were open and had an excellent dinner. Love their food, always healthy and fresh. read more

Finally found myself in the area during dinner time and decided to stop in. I was not dissapointed! The menu is huge... plenty of great wrap options to choose from. I went with the Chicken Gansett which was fantastic. The portions are HUGE... I didn't know it was possible to fit 3 massive chicken breasts inside a wrap... but they managed to do it. The hummus had a great flavor to it, and so did the Taziki sauce. Toppings were extremely generous as well. Prices very reasonable. Will be back soon! read more

These wraps are SO good. They are also giant! I was a bit taken back by the price when I ordered, but after my food arrived, I changed my mind. I could easily be satisfied splitting one of these wraps with someone. I ordered the chicken falafel wrap which was stuffed with chicken, veggies, tahini and falafel. I also LOVED the actual wrap. I typically don't love flour wraps, but these were like ultra thin pita wraps. I've never had anything like that and I absolutely loved it. My boyfriend had the chicken gyro wrap, which was delicious as well. read more

Picked up a party platter for a small gathering of 8 people. The plater cost $64, but was huge. It consisted of Hummus, Tabouleh, Fatoosh, Falafel, Grilled chicken, Gyro, a salad, multiple sauces, and wraps to "make your own". The quality was as good as what my Lebanese daughter-in-law makes. Everyone ate their fill and there was plenty of leftovers for my wife and me the next two days! The service was great. The owner personally brought the platter out and placed it in the car for me. Great new addition to the downtown Storrs area. read more

Healthy salad/wraps restaurants are everywhere now, and with so much competition individual places really need to stand out to impress. My girlfriend and I hit up Gansett Wraps for lunch recently, lured in by the Greek- influenced wraps on the menu. I ordered the gyro wrap and she ordered a mozzarella chicken and roasted red peppers wrap. Service was fast and friendly but our wraps were disappointingly underwhelming. The ingredients were fresh but the wasn't any flavor. To make matters worse, they weren't properly wrapped and fell apart. We agreed it was a passable lunch but really wanted more. read more

I really appreciate the constant use of fresh ingredients and the care they take of preparing their food! They have wonderful options and a very expansive menu. I have tried a handful of their wraps and everything is delicious without being too heavy. Highly recommend the falafel wrap- always hot and crispy. Part of me is jealous that Storrs center wasn't around when I was at UCONN, but I'm pretty sure my wallet is happy! I'm so glad that it's not just major chains, but also smaller businesses like Gansett Wraps setting up shop. My chicken falafel wrap was decent, nothing special but it hit the spot. I can see this place being a mad house during the semester, so hopefully their catering is ready. read more

I've eaten here several times and I'm never dissatisfied. The cheeseburger wrap will make you wish you'd ordered 8 of them instead of just one. If you can't decide what you want off the huge menu, you can't go wrong with the cheeseburger wrap. I wouldn't recommend the Greek section of the menu, at least the gyro wraps. Unless you're going to get extra sauce(s). They're a bit dry and underwhelming. read more

Gansett Wraps easily has the best pizza in the area, and they have free delivery!!! I've gotten many pizzas there, but I love their buffalo chicken. It's a little spicier than most places, but that's what makes It so great! Their pizza also isn't greasy AT ALL which is amazing and makes me feel a lot less bad about eating pizza! They're also on pocket points! read more

I could probably eat a bucket of these and they were cooked to perfection! - Side salads / any salad: always fresh, and the parmesan peppercorn dressing is my favorite version of it I can get anywhere! - Meatless wings (aka cauliflower bites): tons of sauces to choose from, and a unique offering I don't see often. The portion is huge! I love the parmesan garlic option but they're quite oily, so if you're getting takeout, beware - and have friends to split with because you'll get a ton! It was a holiday weekend and we were the only ones dining in, but takeout orders were booming and our waitress (a very friendly and welcoming short Asian woman) was doing an amazing job checking in on us, and running over to the takeout area constantly to give people orders. On that day, I really enjoyed my Miso Soup (a perfect small portion to warm me up) and Teriyaki Tofu, although it came with a ton of onions that I did not care for. It came out sizzling hot and seemed to continue to cook after it was on my table, so the onion flavor became really strong and almost gave me a headache, but I ate around it. The veggies were fresh and the tofu had a great crispy breading on it. The sauce was very thick and a little went a long way - I almost wish it were a little thinner so it could spread more evenly across my food to give it some moisture. Today I ordered takeout online through the Seamless site. It said food would be ready in 10-15 minutes, which felt crazy fast. Lo and behold, about 12 minutes after I placed my order, I got a text that it was already ready for pickup! I couldn't grab it until well over 20 minutes had gone by, and even by the time I got home, everything was still perfectly hot and nothing had to be reheated. A young man gave me my order and I was in and out of the plaza in 60 seconds or less, so efficient and no wait! I tried the Teriyaki Tofu again today because I really did love it, but keep forgetting to ask for no onions. I also got the Peanut Avocado Maki Roll with Spicy Mayo - I've never seen this combo for sushi and had to try it! It was good and fresh but a little less exciting than I thought it'd be. Their menu has a wide range of both Chinese and Japanese dishes. There's plenty of parking in the shared lot, and you have to go down some steps to the bottom floor of the plaza. The steps are a little tilted, so watch out. I'm not sure if there is a mobility impaired accessible way to access this floor. Prices seem reasonable and takeout was very fast. I'll be back!

I had not visited the other Haven Hot Chicken restaurants in CT, but I am a big fan of Nashville style hot chicken and am glad it is getting more traction in the New England collegiate scene. The opening was used as a training for the employees and from what I saw, the staff was courteous and friendly. I had the sandwich in medium, a single tendie in haven, and a banana pudding (my favorite). Hot tip: they actually have two additional spice levels called "off menu" and "double off menu," but eat at your own risk. We witnessed two brave people trying it, and they had to briefly step out of the restaurant and chug boxed waters. Regular flavors are country (no heat), mild, medium, hot, and haven. They also have cauliflower nuggets and fuego fries (great that there are vegetarian options available too).

La Rosa is your quintessential Italian deli with dozens of grinders, paninis, wraps, salads, soups and a daily hot bar of pasta and chicken entrees. We ordered a grilled Panino Melenzani ($12) with eggplant, tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil. It was grilled right in front of our eyes, so it was as fresh as could be. It had plenty of tender sliced eggplant, yummy cheese and fresh tomatoes. I went with my usual, an Italian Combo (half size for $14) stacked a mile high with Ham, Turkey, Genoa, Mortadella, Capicola, and Provolone with lettuce, tomato, onions, and peppers on a fresh loaf of Italian bread. It was superb, and the portion size was so generous that it lasted me for three lunches. As we were paying, we spied some home-made cookies by the register and grabbed an oatmeal and a chocolate chip to take home. Everything ran $32 for a ton of wonderful Italian goodness. We didn't get a chance to check out the hot bar. It wasn't open today because LaRosa's Marketplace was closing early for personal reasons. But I promise you, the next time we visit we'll leave with one of their chicken or pasta entrees. We love our Italian delis, and LaRosa's has immediately shot up into our top tier.
