I brought my 2500 HD truck in for tire rotation and balance. They did a very timely and prompt job, and I think the quality was there. They charged me $120 because I had 20-inch wheels. Okay, I get that, but then at the end, when I asked if they had reset the TPMS sensors after tire rotation, they said no. That cost $55. I get that independent stores sometimes do charge extra for it, but $55 on top of $120 - I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

The only reason not for a five star is they add 4% surcharge on a credit card. Rather high since Visa only charges 1.5% to businesses. AmEx charges 4%. they shouldn't be making money on surcharge. I was visiting Taos and my rental car had a tire leak. Garcia Tire had my tire fixed and I was out the door in 30 min. The tire repair cost was really affordable. I've had a very very slow leak on one tire for a couple of years. I'd air up the tire every couple of months but decided to get it fixed. I took it to Garcia Tire on the recommendation of Metric Motors (since they only work on tires that they have sold). The guys could not find any leak after dunking it but they broke it down, cleaned up the rim, and changed the valve stem anyway - all free of charge since they couldn't find a leak. These guys are always on it, I've used them from 14" tires all the way up to 22.5" tires. When I was always driving on the road they kept a set of tires for my truck in stock which were 19.5" and a set for the trailer which were 17.5". We were visiting Taos from out of town. When we arrived, I noticed a small nail in one of my tires. Garcia Tire was recommended by our relatives who live here in town. It was stated that they sell superior products but also take care of their customers afterward. Anyways, I pulled up and they were actually quite busy for whatever reason at the exact time I was there. Still, one of the gentleman took the time to evaluate my tire and remove the small nail. He took care to evaluate carefully for a leak and didn't find one. I was skiing in Taos this past weekend and when I got to my car, I noticed I had a flat. If I only knew the challenge that lie ahead of me. My buddies and I worked for two hours trying to get the spare off my Escalade and was never able to get it removed to be able to use it. So, we ended up just taking the tire off and leaving the vehicle jacked up. Thank goodness we had two rigs in our party. First thing Monday, I headed to Garcia's to get the flat fixed. They repaired the tire and while I was paying, the technician came in and said the repair didn't hold. They swiftly refunded me for the repair. They didn't have my exact size of tire so they recommended calling the other two tire places in town. The other two places did not have any 22" tires at all. I thought, "Here we go again." I let Garcia's know the other two places didn't even have a 22", so they said, "Let us do some scavenging." They found a 22" that would at least get me home and charged me a very reasonable rate...... free!!! You just don't see that in today's world. Noberto knew the challenges I had been through and just wanted to help and bless me. Boy, did it ever. Total disappointment. I ordered four new tires for my Hyundai on 9-14-23 with Mr. Noberto Armijo. I was given an appointment for 9 am on the 28th for installation and a front end alignment. When I got there, there were a lot of tires stacked up inside the garage. I tried to help the worker to find my tires. I stepped into the bay area, when another worker yield at me, (in a bad tone), to say I could not be in there. I said I was with the other worker, but I understood so I walked out of the bay. The person helping me continued to look for my tires. Out of nowhere a young guy with oily hair comes to me and said "if you could read, you would read the sign that said I could not go into the area". I said I know how to read. I am just trying to help locate my tires. He said "If you don't like it, take your business some where else". As it turns out, my tires were never ordered after 14-days and an appointment. Anyway, these business are always bitching about locals not buying locally, which I also believe in, but how can we when you are treated this way. When someone tells me to take my business elsewhere, you better believe it that is what I would do, and that is what I did. I went to your competitor and was treated very well. Needless to say, you lost out on over $1,200.00 in business because of that little shit's attitude and remarks. If I could I would fire him on the spot. We're driving from Kentucky to Utah with a 30ft rig. On our way into Toas we noticed two tires (one on truck, one on rig) busting apart from the inside causing a nasty shake. It was 10 minutes til close and the boss man didn't even blink before telling us he could get us fixed up no problem. Unfortunately they didn't have the tires we needed in stock but he got what we needed from another shop an hour south by 9am the next day AFTER staying an hour past close time the evening before. Tires were a bit pricier than what we're used to but for our safety, convenience, and the pleasure of dealing with such generous and friendly employees, we were more than willing to pay. Not familiar with the area, we called several tire / automotive repair shops in the area to help replace tires before our 10 hour trip back to Texas. As vacationers, we even reached out to the Angel Fire Visitors Bureau for a recommendation. The area shops were shuttered or simply never picked up or returned calls. From the very first call setting up our appointment to final transaction, Manuel was a pleasure. We got a great estimate of when the job would be complete ... huge kudos since I've been burned by bigger box stores who abuse my time by hours, making me sit in the lobby with no comforts. I was very impressed and pleased with service that I received at Garcia Tire in Taos. I had a non-repairable flat and I was visiting from out of state. I called around and finally came upon Garcia Tire. I spoke with Emily at the front counter and she was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She ordered a tire for me when no other place even offered to help. When I arrived the next day, I was greeted with a friendly hello and the Service Tech replaced my tire.
