THE ABSOLUTE BEST SPOT IN THE BRONX FOR PHO. VPho easily holds its own against some of the top…read morespots in Orange County, CA and even local places in Vietnam--this is a spot that's built to last in the Bronx for years to come. The staff are incredibly fun and friendly, always ready to serve up delicious, authentic Vietnamese food--or pizza, if that's what you're in the mood for. On paper, VPho is an odd mix: New York-style pizza by the slice or pie alongside flavorful Vietnamese dishes. But somehow, it works. The location still has classic pizza shop vibes but has plenty of seating for smaller groups. Prices are very reasonable, and for my Pelham Parkway locals, here's a solid move--grab some bánh mì to go on your way to a Yankees game. Whether you're craving a great slice or some legit Vietnamese food, this spot delivers. And don't forget to say hello to my guy Miguel, the local pizza legend.

It's interesting combo which caters to everyone. I haven't had too much Vietnamese food before this, but I can tell that this is authentic food. The food was fresh. I had a green juice which was refreshing and a steak pho soup I can't, remember the name. The rolls were also excellent. The staff were friendly and helped me pick out something I liked. The place is simple and laid back. Overall great experience. If you're under weather try one of their soups And the green juice.

Fiorentina first popped up on my Yelp radar 3 yrs ago, back when I was still teaching in Throggs…read moreNeck and came with my teacher friends when we all worked in the area. My first thought back then was: Throggs Neck is trying to bring the FANCY back! Throggs Neck used to have some of THE most exclusive Italian restaurants on the strip. White tablecloths, fine dining, service, etc- you know...that old-school, "we're going OUT to dinner" energy. And over the years, a lot of those places disappeared. Fiorentina was determined to pick up where they left off. I'll confess something- I used to be one of those people who said, "I'm not eating at an Italian restaurant if Italians don't own it." Consider me corrected. Because these folks have been bringing their A-game STRONG. My first visit back in '23, my teacher friends and I kept things light. Food was good and atmosphere was nice- but the cocktails were weak. I can't speak on their current strength situation, so proceed carefully or just order wine.Fast-forward to visit #2 in September '26. I suggested Fiorentina for a family lunch after my daughter spent the weekend with her grandma, especially because Fiorentina is now offering a $25 prix-fixe lunch with salad+entrée+coffee or tea OR a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Plus, happy hour drinks EVERY DAY. Say less. We pulled up on a Saturday afternoon. Fiorentina is elegant. White tablecloths, elegant setting, servers who actually understand 'service'. I mean...everyone was attentive and accommodating without hovering over us every five seconds. And then came that bread basket. Chile. That bread with the honey butter deserves its own Yelp review. They say there's green apple in the butter- I didn't taste any- but I didn't care- because that slightly sweet butter was EVERYTHING. Then the food started landing. My daughter had penne with shrimp. I had linguine with clams that was garlicky. Two of my sisters and my mom went for the burgers, while my twin had a salad. We enjoyed ourselves so much that my daughter and I couldn't even finish everything and headed out with leftovers- which is never a problem for me. Service- excellent, The food is on point and the vibe- is exactly what Throggs Neck needs. Bring back the fancy. Bring back the white tablecloths. Bring back getting dressed and actually feeling like you're going out to dinner (or lunch). Fiorentina did exactly that. This second time around was all that and a bag of chips.

Fiorentina Steakhouse has quickly become a staple. It didn't take long because the concept felt…read morefresh and unique for the area. I love being able to recommend a steakhouse that dry ages its own meats right here in the neighborhood. Yesterday, we were a bit pressed for time, so we ordered the lamb chops, skirt steak, and, of course, a nice bottle of wine. Everything was fantastic. The lamb chops were phenomenal, easily among the best I've had at any restaurant. They were incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. I'm usually not someone who enjoys eating the fat on meat, but the fat on these chops was rendered so beautifully that I found myself eating every bite. There wasn't a single chewy or unpleasant piece. I normally order the porterhouse or ribeye, but the skirt steak was an excellent choice when I wanted something leaner and quicker to enjoy without sacrificing flavor. The fried potato salad is another standout. It's a unique side that's absolutely worth ordering. And then there's the peppercorn sauce served with the lamb chops. It's a total mic drop. I honestly can't put into words how good it is. I found myself dipping everything in it (even my fingers ). It's that delicious! Fiorentina continues to impress every time we visit, and it's become one of my favorite places to recommend for a great steak dinner.
