Winny H.

First time visiting Garden Buffet at South Point in Las Vegas and it will most likely be the only time I visit. I checked the google and yelp reviews and it seems solid. But when I got here it isn't worth the hype it got. It is definitely a budget-friendly buffet option that offers a wide variety of food without the high price tag of Strip buffets but the qualty of the food wasn't there. Pricing typically ranges from about $19 to $53 per person depending on the meal and day, but during our visit on Easter, it was holiday pricing so I had expected more dishes to taste. The buffet features multiple stations with a mix of cuisines like American, Italian, Asian, Mexican, and seafood, plus a Mongolian grill for custom dishes. I asked our waitress which were the top menu items and she stated their prime rib, peel-and-eat shrimp, pork ribs, and Mexiciian bar. Let's just say that prime rib was either too well done or too bloody for me. The shrimp was the only good item I got here. The pork ribs were super dry and the Mexican bar was OK. The tortilla were dry and the taco meat was too oily and salty. My main issue with eating here was that almost everything was too salty! The turkey and ham that they had at the carving station was decent and the met was juicy but again too salty. Next, I headed over to the salad bar to cleanse my palette and the lettuce wasn't fresh and some parts had brown wilted leaves. The premade cranberry blueberry salad was quite good so I added extra veggies to this. Then I went to the fried station where it had fried chicken, french fries, and pizza. All were quite basic. Disappointed in the fried chicken as it was dry or too well cooked to the point it was sorta burnt crisp. Really in terms of food quality it as under par. The only food item that realy shined here was their dessert bar! All the cupcakes, muffins, slices of cake, pudding, freshly made custard and even their gelato ice cream was super delicious. I think for the future if I am craving for a dessert buffet, this is the place to visit! As for the experience, the atmosphere is casual and comfortable--more of a local, laid-back vibe than a luxury buffet. The service is generally OK. Had to wait for my waitress several times to refill my juice and coffe. I know it was quite busy but she tend to forget what I had asked her to bring. No issues with parking this casino and the plus side is that it is free! Would recommend this buffet for their desserts rather than their main menu items.

Decor had table and chairs, bright lights, and artificial plants. On Fridays, they have a seafood buffet with prime rib. When you sign up for players card, you get a $5.00 discount for only 2 people. Line was long from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. We had to wait for my friend who was dropped off by her family. There are different stations which include seafood, salad and soups, Asian, Italian, Mexican, barbecue, and dessert. Our favorites are oyster rock a fellow, oyster, and snow crab. Our server was good about taking away our plates.

I arrived at midnight and was delighted to find they were still open. After a late shift, finding a place to eat can be tough, but we were seated right away. The servers were prompt and friendly, and the food was good for the price--no complaints.

Garden Buffet is located casino level in the South Point Hotel and casino. There is always a line when I visit the hotel, so it seems to be popular with the locals. You can't beat the price for all the food stations they offer. If you have a players club card, you're looking at $25 a person.. the stations include, Asian, Seafood, Italian, Mexican, salads/soup, carving and dessert. The service is friendly, and the waitstaff do good job with the drinks and clearing tables. Nothing fancy, just good food at a reasonable price.

Street Corn is amazing. Live nachos station was good! Todays visit: Edsel took good care of us!

My friend told me about the Garden Buffet's all-you-can-eat seafood buffet from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday. When he told me they had my beloved crab legs, I had to check them out! I arrived at 3:15 p.m., and the line was already absurdly long! However, the staff did a good job moving the line along, so the wait to reach the front wasn't long. The buffet is 52.00 with a player's card and 57.00 without one. Follow the signs to "The Club" desk, show your ID, get a free player's card, and save 5.00 at the buffet. The card gives you access to a free buffet on Monday through Thursday at the Garden Buffet when you play the slots from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The staff at the Garden Buffet were attentive, welcoming, friendly, and organized! The staff gets 5 stars! The seafood buffet comes with a free beer and wine ticket. I don't drink alcohol, so I bypassed that. I came for my beloved crab legs, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality and the way they were served. They don't have any crab leg crackers, so they cut all the crab legs in half vertically. This means the crab leg meat is dry and difficult to remove. Crab legs are supposed to remain whole so the sweet meat can marinate inside and stay moist. Cutting the legs in half exposes them to air and external heat. Additionally, the crab legs were of low quality. The buffet is well organized, divided into the following sections: seafood, Mexican, Asian, Italian, BBQ, fresh meat, and dessert. I bounced around the sections and didn't taste anything remarkable. I liked the salmon, cheesecake, and pizza roll dish ( I don't recall the exact name), but again, there was no outstanding food. My waiter kept my raspberry iced tea refills coming, and he took my plates I left behind when I went to get me a new plate. It wasn't worth 57.00 because of the crab leg fiasco and basic food. When I go to a buffet, I expect to find at least one standout dish, but I didn't find it here. Given the food quality, I am shocked the business is booming! I would consider returning for breakfast or during the week for their regular buffet. However, the seafood buffet was one-and-done for me; those crab legs were straight out of a seafood buffet horror movie! I will have a stern talk with my friend about hyping up their all-you-can-eat seafood buffet and acting like their crab legs were official.

Complimentary Bloody Mary with Weekday Bruch

Yes, the elusive, inexpensive Las Vegas buffet of old can still be found at South Point! If you're a fan of that magical all-you-can-eat food tour through a variety of international cuisines, I recommend you whip out your player's club card (for that sweet discount) and hop aboard the Garden Buffet express. As with most buffets, the standards covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner are too extensive to list, but some of their daily stations include Mexican, Asian, Italian, Seafood, and good ol' American cuisine along with the obligatory carving areas, salad bar, and dessert counter. There are particular "theme" nights, which include more exotic seafoods (i.e. crab legs) and prime rib - and there's even a brunch option that includes two complimentary bloody mary or mimosa drinks! However, just the standard daily fair will please the average buffet fan. I personally enjoy their breakfast buffet, which is priced (w/ players' club discount) around the same as neighboring full-service options but offers more varietal bang for the buck! Breakfast includes a made-to-order omelette station in addition to the carving area. There usually isn't a long buffet line - though I'm sure Friday's Seafood Night draws a large crowd. In fact, I believe It's generally been a walk-up for the weekday breakfast/lunch hours when we've visited. There's ample seating and plenty of staff circulating the dining floor to refill beverages and remove finished plates. Similarly, the food stations are well-maintained and refilled/rotated regularly. The staff has always been pleasant and responsive to any requests in our visits. Indeed, the Garden Buffet harkens back to the Sin City buffets of a time gone by. If the clanking of dishes and silverware, bustle of hungry patrons shuffling about, and the excitement of sampling that one dish that looks too good to pass up appeals to you, this is the place to try. Buffets aren't for everybody, but this is more than dining: it's Vegas nostalgia, folks!

Took my dad and girlfriend here for their first time and used our gaming cards for the discount and had the best service. Our server was amazing, she made sure our drinks were always filled at half glass and picked up our dishes to always have space on the table. She was top tier! We went during brunch so we had the selections of both breakfast and lunch. Our faves was the Chinese short ribs and the vanilla blueberry yogurt! We added granola for the crunch and that was so yummy! Their sausage patty's are ginormous! A few changes to the layout since before Covid but all was seamless and well worth the visit. Took them to the equestrian area afterwards to checkout the show and booths. We love the buffet here with the many other options of entertainment other than gambling.

I finally made my way here after seeing multiple YouTube videos, but it turns out that I previously wasn't missing anything. As expected, there is a huge variety of mediocre food; however, there were plenty of subpar ones too. Plate# 1: The shrimp cocktail and shrimp ceviche were ok. The quality tasted like all you can eat, 3/5 stars. The fried fish (with no chips), white fish, and salmon were all dry with mild flavors, 2.5/5 stars. The fettuccine and mac & cheese were flavorful and creamy, 4/5 stars. Plate# 2: The oxtail soup, fried rice, sautéed chicken, bbq pork (char siu), pepper steak, coconut shrimp, and jalepeño chicken were all decent for ayce, 3.5/5 stars. Plate# 3: The chicken wings station allows you to pick your type from no sauce, buffalo, bbq, or sweet chili. The chicken wings were dry, not crispy, while the sweet chili sauce had no butter, 2/5 stars. The nachos were ok, and sad that Taco Bell nachos supreme has more depth and quality then here, 2/5 stars. Plate# 4: The huge slice of prime rib was cooked rare, tender, and mildly seasoned. Not the best but this was worth the price of the buffet, 3.5/5 stars. I had no room for dessert, but overall the food quality here is similar to Hometown Buffet, but with more selection. There are other buffets that I prefer but now we know.

Garden Buffet is probably my favorite of the buffets in this lower tier. Low tier is what I group all the buffets that are around $30 and under. I'd say that the food quality here matches the price point. Half of my meal was from the carving station and it's not bad (4/5). The two things that seemed the worst to me were the meatball and the pasta that was next to it. *This buffet doesn't kick people out. If you come for breakfast, you can stay all the way for dinner if that's your thing haha. *There are two prices available. If you want to pay the lower one, you can sign up for the casino's players club for free. You don't even need to use it to gamble if you don't want to *I think this is the best "value" option if you are looking for AYCE prime rib. The prime rib isn't the best but it's still what I call acceptable. SERVICE Everyone here was friendly. My waitress made sure I always had a drink, which is more than I can say for Wicked Spoon. The receipt on my table had a huge red stamp on it that showed that I tipped. I don't know what it's for but they did seem to keep checking that.

Salad bar
Maria L.

Service was excellent highly recommend the fruit (pineapple) and cold salad bar for fresh and edible items. There was a lot of things that were underwhelming, including the desserts so I do recommend the meatloaf and the hot potato.

A little bit of everything... Chinese, Italian, and American

Ask the Community - Garden Buffet

Do they have crab legs?

Yes, on Friday nights which is seafood night.

Does this buffet take reservations?

They do not take reservations and the line can be 45 minutes plus. Recommend having someone hold the line while others explore the casino.

What will be the price for the buffet on Thanksgiving Day 2025? I'm asking cause I'm flying in on that from Hawaii and would like to take my family out. Anyone know what the price is per person?

Is everyday have a snow crab? Thank you.

Not at this buffet.

Does everyone in the party have to be a member as well to get the member price in a group party?

No. I believe you can get 2 adults per player card.

Are the salads premade or is it a build your own salad bar?

they're pre-made but there are some areas (like the taco area) that have individual items to customize whatever dish to your taste.

Is this order based or can I just go around and grab food?

Omelettes are made to order, everything else I had I just grabbed.

What is the dinner price?

25.95 with players card . No more than 30 . On Fridays it's 35 due to seafood . I can't wait to go back here

How do i make reservations?

The buffet does not take reservations you have to get online and there is no handicap line

Does kids need to pay?

Under 3 eat free, 4 thru 8 half price.

Are crab legs only Friday nights? Do they serve crab legs/seafood on Saturdays?

Friday only, 4:30pm-9pm. Lines are long but do not be intimidated. Longest wait is about an hour. $45.18 with tax and all. Get a Club member card for a couple bucks off. Comes with a couple drink tickets. People leaving will give you their unused… Read more

How busy is it usually for the Friday seafood night? How long is the average wait?

The line is very long starting around 4PM. Last week it stretched all the way to Johnny Rockets. I estimated it to be around a two hour wait.

Are there any Keto friendly Desserts? I know they have sugar free options, but are any of them Keto?

I did not see any marked KETO but I asked so many questions and they build the desserts at the counter so I'm sure if you ask they may accommodate.

Is there any place I can find a coupon for the buffet?

Las Vegas Advisor subscribers can print off a 2 for 1 coupon good for the Mon. - Fri. breakfast buffet though some have reported it can also be used for the lunch buffet as well. On Mondays seniors with sufficient slot points can get half off when… Read more

What days are crab legs served?

Friday at 4pm. Expect a long line.

How much is the price for lunch?

Breakfast is $13.95; lunch is $17.95; Prime rib dinner is $25.95. These are regular price. If you avail of membership, which is free, you get the club members pricing.

Do I need a reservation?

No you do not. FYI, they won't let you save seats. Make sure your guests arrive at the same time. However, I would never recommend this buffet.. the food is subpar to par. Go to the Burgers and Shakes place.. way better food

Any senior discount?

No there isn't

How much is breakfast?

Right now it's $12.95 or $9.95 with a players card

At the time we went, brunch was $54.99 per person, and we paid around $124 total for the two of us. Considering it's Las Vegas and during a holiday, I'd say the price felt reasonable for the variety offered. The buffet had a wide selection of food. They had all the brunch basics like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, and an omelet station where they cook it fresh. There were also plenty of lunch options including pasta, pizza, roasted meats, and a carving station with prime rib. What I liked most was the variety--they also had sushi, a salad bar, fresh fruits, and a seafood section with shrimp, oysters, salmon, and other options. For drinks, they offered coffee, tea, and juice, which was convenient. And of course, there were lots of desserts like cakes, pastries, gelato, and mini sweets. The atmosphere felt more festive since it was New Year's Day. It was a bit busy, but still organized, and the place has that elegant Bellagio vibe without feeling too overwhelming. Personally, I didn't eat as much as I wanted because I wasn't feeling well that day and didn't have much of an appetite (as I've mentioned in my past videos), but my husband really enjoyed the food, so that made the experience worth it for us. While it wasn't overly crowded and features a decent selection, the actual execution and food quality fell way short of the reviews, making the premium weekend price tag tough to justify. * The Lobster: It's chopped into awkward, funky chunks that are messy and difficult to eat. You get 4 pieces at a time, which is fair IMHO. While the sauce wasn't terrible, it masked the seafood; a dry sauté with garlic and chilies would have elevated the dish significantly. * Hot Entrées & Sides: The hot food line felt neglected. The fried rice was particularly sad, bland, dry, and flavorless. On a positive note, the salt and pepper items were decent, though the kitchen cut corners on preparation; quite a few of the shrimp hadn't been properly cleaned or deveined. * Desserts:Pure buffet filler. Everything in the dessert section tasted like low-quality, thawed-from-frozen commercial products rather than anything made in-house. While it's certainly not the absolute worst buffet in town, the execution quality makes it a poor value proposition. At nearly $47 for the weekend rate, you expect sharp execution and clean seafood. Unfortunately, it misses the mark, and I won't be back.
