Came back for a visit as we were in the area for Spring Break. Wasn't too shabby of a visit last time so we figured we'd come back. We came in on Easter Sunday for our late Lunch..Food was ok from the various locations but still looked to be a slow wait for the Mongolian Grill as they still only had one person helping guests with their stir Fry. When most areas would have more than one, especially on a busy day. My biggest gripe was that at first our server for our booth came a couple of times to clear plates and gave refills then all of a sudden she just stopped coming close out way and the closest she would come would may be two booths away and nothing closer. We couldn't get refills on drinks and plates were piling up. We just couldn't understand it as we hadn't done anything but sit there with our meals like any other person. We didn't understand why she was avoiding our booth at all. My mom doesn't like to leave tip money on the table and it came clear she was avoiding us when we were trying to get to her just to give the tip! read more

Seafood night at garden buffet on Friday night! Such a good selection of seafood for under $50. They had multiple different kinds of crab and a large variety of other seafood such as shrimp and clams. There were plenty of other options for other cuisines but I would definitely recommend going on Friday to get the seafood. Lunching here was a total surprise when I visited family in Vegas. Family was so generous to treat my hubby and I out to the buffet located inside the casino that they are regulars at. I wish I had not eaten so much for breakfast at the hotel we were staying at. Otherwise, I would have piled on my more food on my plate. Lol I had to give my younger brother some items off my plate that I did not have room for. I actually have not been to a buffet in several years. The main section for me was the prime rib and the dessert. There was an option for either rare prime rib or medium. I chose medium. There was also pork belly that the meat station guy was slicing but, I was saving room for dessert. Lol...coconut cream pie was delish. Gelato and cream puffs were ok. On a Sunday afternoon, there was a long, long line of people but the staff manages to get the lines going well. The yelp 3 star average pretty much sums it up. I love buffets. We arrived on my birthday and I wanted a buffet. Been wanting to try theirs for a while since the last time I came the line was too long. This time, we were seated pretty quickly. I came with an appetite. There was no line on a Tuesday night. The first item I tried was the Prime Rib which was pretty good and I was anxious to try some more items but it all went downhill from there. The fried chicken or fried anything was just awful. I think they used the same dirty oil for everything. Anything else was cheap diner food. However, it was priced as such. It was $27 pp with players card for dinner. That is cheaper than most and for that, I am not mad about it but I think I'd still rather go elsewhere. Then service was terrible. No hello, no acknowledgement whatsoever. Our waiter NEVER asked us for drink refills even though he picked up our plates numerous times and reaching over my head to get the plates at the end of the table without an excuse me. Came for the brunch buffet service and it was well worth the money - plus the Uber fee to get here from The Strip. Yes, you need to take a car to get here if you're staying at a hotel on The Strip. It'll be about $10-15, depending on when you head over. For $16 per person with the club card, this buffet is worth the trip. Is it as luxe as Wicked Spoon? Of course not! But for the price of one there, you can pay for three here. You get what you pay your money for. We had some out of town guest and was looking for a buffet that was at a reasonable price. They had several different stations from Mexican, Asian, Italian, Carving, Dessert, Salad Bar, Seafood. I would say something for everyone. I was a little disappointed because I wanted crab but we went on a Thursday and they serve crab on Fri. But they did have several stations that had shrimp. Our waitress was attentive making sure our glasses were full and removed dishes from our table as we emptied them. The atmosphere was noisy and crowded. You've most likely seen that Gold Hotel to the right on your way driving into Vegas. That's South Point. Don't snooze on this Casino/Hotel. Yes, they have a buffet at South Point, Garden Buffet. A buffet for less than $50 why not?! The line appears long, but it moved along. I had the Mr. wait in line while I went to "The Club" & picked up my Players Card. *Pro Tip: Sign up to be a Member of their Players Club & score a discount at the Garden Buffet. We got the Prime Rib Brunch. (On the weekends it includes Mimosas from 8am-3pm). I totally forgot about the drinks Bec I was concentrating on eating. Plus, we already had a long night of drinking & I wasn't about to get wasted for the drive home lols. Overall it was a decent buffet at an incomparable price. They had several stations when we came for Brunch: Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Carving & BBQ Meats, Mongolian Station, Omelette Station, Soup & Salad, Seafood & of Course Dessert. Brunch items were scattered throughout the different stations. For Breakfast/Brunch they offered Egg Benedict, Hash Browns, Biscuits, Sausage links & patties, pancakes, waffles, French toast, bacon, etc. I saw egg scrambles scattered at a few stations. I like to start off with soup whenever I eat at a buffet. I got the Menudo & it was actually good for a buffet. Then, I started with a big slab of prime rib with horseradish & au jus. It was good & filling. I just got full fast from it. The Mr. seemed to enjoy the cheese pizza & enchiladas, as he got seconds.... We were there for Brunch, but for dinner they serve cold peel & eat shrimp. I was able to sample some because it was near dinnertime when we were almost done. I couldn't pass that up. I enjoyed it. On to dessert... They offer different selections of cake slices on individual plates. They also have mini cheesecake desserts & more. You can get your own ice cream from the ice cream machine or wait in line for some Gelato... I was pleased to find out they offer "No Sugar Added" Selections of Cake & had at least 1 flavor of Gelato. You just have to ask an associate behind the counter for the Sugar Free Items. Had great service from our server. He was on top of our drink refills & several servers were clearing used plates. Wed, May 15, 2024, noon. I enjoyed this buffet for lunch. While I wasn't perfect in my selections, i intentionally tried to make healthier choices, and Garden Buffet had many options to make that possible. I started at the salad bar, where there were mostly already prepared salads (Caesar; macaroni salad; coleslaw; etc.) rather than individual ingredients to make your own salad and to control the calories and fat content of the dressings. That said, I found both a tasty green salad with small chicken chunks in a light vinaigrette and a so-so jicama salad (nice and crunchy but not too flavorful). I also took a bit of (canned) tropical fruits. The highlight of my meal was the Mongolian barbecue at the Asian station. You put as many or little of vegetables onto your plate as your heart desires. I loaded up on my personal favorites -- mushrooms, water chestnuts, green snap peas, bean sprouts, and then added some others for taste and color (carrots and red peppers). You then hand this to the cook, who stir-fries it fresh on a huge grill with your choice of chicken, beef, or shrimp. No tofu option) and your choice of sauce. I opted for chicken (quantity was generous) and plum sauce, and later added some chili sauce to give it some kick. The wait at the grill was minimal, and my plate was returned to me piping hot and delicious. I would've like to add a few lo mein noodles to the mixture, but that wasn't an option, but I did find a little spaghetti at the Italian station to mix into my stir-fry. I also grabbed a few peel-and-eat shrimp & cocktail sauce, as well as a few pieces of braised beef (amazingly tender and flavorful). My husband also brought me a scoop of hand-dipped ice cream when I resisted going for dessert! I thoroughly enjoyed my choices, and successfully resisted more tempting foods at the Italian, Mexican, seafood, and bbq stations. While the restaurant can handle a large number of guests, the line was minimal when we arrived. We were seated quickly, and drink (iced tea, sodas, coffee) orders were taken. Our waitress was attentive, and refilled our glasses as needed. The restaurant was clean. Foods were regularly replenished. Tables were quickly bussed for the next guests. I'm not sure how the price compares to other buffets in Las Vegas, but it was somewhat expensive ($23-ish with $3 discount for Club at South Point members (free to join)) compared to our chain buffet back home. read more

Fear not you can still order them a la cart for around $2 otherwise standard drinks are included in the buffet price . When I stayed as a guest they gave me a coupon book which offered me a pretty heavy discount on the buffet. This time I joined the player's club to get $3 off each meal. Whatever type and quantity of champagne used with orange juice was too acidic for me. I took three separate sips of Mimosa after consuming mild food and each time it stung my lower lip. I stopped drinking it. Worst mimosa experience I've encountered. Premade and served in blue glasses that are usually used to serve water and/or fountain drinks. Homemade omelette: Mushroom, spinach, bell peppers, Monterey Jack cheese were made fresh and delicious. Fried shrimp and beef taco tasted yummy. Rojas chilaquiles didn't taste right. Scrambled eggs for fajitas tasted fine, yet nothing extraordinary. Avocado gelato and sugar free strawberry gelato were not frozen long enough. Consistency was too soft. At this point, I didn't want to try other gelato flavors. Worker at gelato station didn't ask if I would like it in separate glasses or together. I can see why many people flock here due to lower buffet prices and tons of free parking. I grew up coming to Vegas every year as a child and one of our favorite buffets was this one, it was so nostalgic to be back as an adult. I came especially for the crab and prime rib; the prime rib was delicious and I was lucky enough to get the first cut of a brand new roast. The crab legs were so disappointing and are the reason for my score, they were so dry and cold. They don't give you the whole leg anymore, now they cut them right down the middle to make it easier to get to the meat, which is helpful for a lot of people but your letting the uncovered crab meat sit under the heat lamps and dry out. Usually I would have 2/3 plates of just crab legs, but I couldn't even finish the 1. Please stop cutting the crab so that the meat on the inside is fresh and juicy. South Point should be embarrassed to serve this low level crab to its paying guests. read more

Local here & we always like to give the off strip buffets a try. We thought they rebranded here so we just wanted to see if the food has improved. I definitely think for the price the quality of food could be better, the food just wasn't what I was hoping for. Service was excellent though! Definitely gives you a casino buffet environment/feel. I think after watching YouTube videos I was overhyped to try the Garden Buffet. The best item on the line is the prime rib as it's juicy and very tender. The Mongolian grill station was good but there were no noodles which are usually a staple in most Mongolian style restaurants but the ingredients and sauces were good. The service provided by our waitress was fantastic and shame on me for forgetting her name! Other than that everything else was just ok. I wouldn't go back unless I was craving prime rib. read more

Look people if you want a so called gourmet buffet then this isn't for you. Perhaps you should got to the strip to Caesar's , cosmopolitan or Wynn. This is one of the last standing buffets that's old school Vegas. It's affordable and decent. Go to their website and look at their prices? Prime rib dinner buffet for under $30 if you show them a players card. If you go get a players card it's gonna knock off some dollars even without having to gamble one dime. Who does that anymore. So got to the reward center and get one it'll take 5 min. Unless you're a baller and don't care about saving money. I believe on Mondays if your 50 and over they have some type of discount on 2 buffets especially if you use the players card and use the points from gambling. Regardless the card is gonna save you money just by showing it to them. Friday nights their most expensive seafood night. For lunch it's basically pork ribs and turkey, chicken and brisket. Make sure to get the fatty brisket and get some bbq sauce and creamy horseradish for it. Dinner is the only time you'll get prime rib and when it's rare or medium the meat is excellent. If you get it well done just go get some shoe leather. It's meant to be eaten medium or rare. Bbq and horseradish trust me it's delish. They do have a Mongolian wok section this hack is for dinner only. Go get some bbq pork from the Asian section to use as your meat, then add you Vegas and use plum sauce, some chilli sauce if you want a kick and some teriyaki sauce and garlic and a bit of finer sauce. Also some sesame oil. Tell the chef you want it sautéed with no oil. Get some white rice, it'll be delish. Also if you want noodles go to the Italian station and get plain pasta from there. Bam you got noodles. I like to borrow stuff from other stations. For lunch you can use the brisket. They do have decent gelato for dessert but the best thing in my opinion is their bread pudding and then add the vanilla cream sauce and it's amazing. I don't know why this place is so highly rated among locals. We were really looking forward to it, but we're thoroughly disappointed. The best dishes were the ribs in carving and osso bucco in the Italian section. Both were super tender. The osso bucco was the best thing here and exceptionally good. The made to order elote was fun to eat. though the corn was watery and overcooked, but still enjoyable. Not good: prime rib, Chinese food, and sushi. Probably some of the worst, dry, grisly prime rib I have ever had at any buffet. Quality of meat is really poor. Chinese food is all overcooked to the point veggies were brown. Sushi was disheveled and rice was hard. We would have been more forgiving but service was not good either. Our server really neglected clearing our table and drinks. Ambiance was nice, bright, and comfortable. Glad we finally tried it to check it off our list. Maybe they just had an off night, but I'm not sure we will be back to try this again. read more

Lunch is 19.95/person which is a steal for the variety of food & 2.00 Bloody Mary's are a bargain as well as 3.00 domestic beers (breakfast is 16.95 and dinner 26.95). It was our second time here and it was a great experience. First time for breakfast and this time for lunch. Having cœliaque disease can be challenging when going out and I really enjoyed the " chef's tour of the buffet ". He introduced me with all the dishes I can or cannot eat which makes me feel safe.
