Like the food, here for the most part Enjoy the takeout breakfasts. Tried dining here alfresco today. It took over an hour to get the food. Meanwhile, we saw tray/plates headed down to the wine store at the end of the strip. Asked the waiter what happened to us. He said the chef had one more order for them. Then he could start on our order. At this point we'd had enough. Who needs this??? An hour after we sat down, he'll start on our order.?? Really?? Appreciate dishes cooked to order, but this is ridiculous ! Okay,we got a discount on the dinner and a free pour. But it still cost over $70 for two, no dessert. Go figure? read more

Worst experience. Ordered the tandoori tuna entree. First they brought out the tuna app and tried to tell us it was what we ordered. Waitress went back and told the chef this was not correct. He sent out the same tuna over asian veggies. Sent it back and then the chef brought out what he said was the correct entree. This time the tuna looked right but no mango salsa. Chef gave us attitude and went back into the kitchen. We asked for our check. We had soup and a side salad. The salad was charged at $10. Where did that price come from? No manager on duty to resolve the issues. We won't be back. It turns out that the chef is also the owner. Scott, you obviously don't care about customer service. You are in the service business so learn how to treat your customers with some respect. read more

We were looking for a dog friendly place after taking our pooch to the beach and stumbled on the Garden City Cafe. There were 3 tables outside and we were a little hesitant at first sight but when you go in, it's a whole other world! They had live music (rare for brunch hours!), cool artwork on the walls, a pastry case and an all around great vibe. They were busy but we were acknowledged right away and seated quickly. It took a little while for our waitress to scoot out to us but she was very nice and apologized multiple times for the delay. The food was great and came out in a timely manner for how busy they were. We had the salmon benedict and the pancakes which came with the option of having fresh fruit (blueberries or strawberries) or chocolate chips. Went here for dinner tonight. The music was so loud that we couldn't carry on a conversation. Kim, our server, was attentive and excellent! The food, however, was a big disappointment. This is a beach aura, and laid-back tempo. Just chill, enjoy, relax, and taste the splendor. Most times I've been there, a musician was jamming' some great melodies. The breakfast was very good but the service wasn't. Thus, the three stars. Our waiter screwed up our entire order. My husband ordered an omelet with veggies and cheese because he's a vegetarian and got a ham and cheese omelet. Apparently the waiter grabbed the wrong order and gave us someone else's omelet. I ordered an omelet with feta and got one slathered in goat cheese. When I told the waiter, he said feta and goat cheese are the same...which they are NOT!! Then he said that the kitchen screwed up and put the wrong cheese in it. I ended up just cancelling my omelet altogether. Meanwhile, he didn't apologize but rather, he seemed rather annoyed, like it was our fault. He brought my daughter's pancakes with no syrup. It was one thing after another. I may give it another chance because the food was tasty when we finally got what we ordered, but won't rush back anytime soon. read more

Decided to eat here with my parental units because phat panda was closed, small place but it was cute inside, no problem being seated and they were quick with giving us waters, the waiter arrived, he was awkward and clearly flustered for some reason. It took 30 minutes for our appetizers to come and an hour for our entrees and all we ordered were two pasta dishes and a giant meatball. The waiter said it is going to take a bit longer for our entrees to arrive because they are preparing it with "tender love and care." This is a good place for people who enjoy mediocre food and don't get hangry. read more

This was my 2nd time being here but my 17 yo son has been quite a few times. It's his 2nd favorite restaurant in the area ( the first one being a more kid food type place in Jupiter). He started off with 'the best ever' fried mozzarella. It's a thin coating of bread crumbs with the best fresh cheese. So good! I had the soup of the day which was phenomenal. It was white bean and escarole. Superb! So much flavor! Next he ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. He's had it before and swears it's the best ever! And it was good! I ordered a small caesar salad and a dish from the appetizer menu -the eggplant rollatini. I must say I've never had better. And it was a good portion for the app menu. The waitress said it was most the staffs fav as well. I had a good glass of wine and we also had bread with an olive oil bread dip. Everything was so good! So surprised it wasn't packed full. This little restaurant is amazing. From the food to the atmosphere it's hard to find better so close to home. The staff was superb and the fresh food prepared on site by chef Scott was not only delicious, but plentyful. Bring a hardy appetite! We selected the pasta fagioli and black bean soup and the Bang Bang Shrimp for starters. Freshly made soup is a favorite of ours as we do this at home. The Bang Bang shrimp was not only the best we ever had, but the presentation was exceptional. Don't get me started on the bread. Fresh baked to order. Unbelievably delicious and filling, so watch out. As a result of pigging out we never got to the Swordfish which we went there to try in the first place. We stumbled upon Garden City one day as we were looking for a place for breakfast. We are glad we did! The breakfast was delicious at some of the best prices in town. We went back for dinner and ordered the lobster risotto and an Asian fusion bowl. Both were phenomenal. The lobster risotto was one the best dishes I have ever eaten. Celebrated my birthday here with a group of friends. The food was delicious and there was live music! They have the best cheese squares in the area, fresh and full of gooey cheese. They had a selection of grouper and chicken marsala both excellent choices. Mac n cheese, penne ala vodka, different flat breads, stuffed mushrooms, salad so you can see all the wonderful food for our guests was abundant. This a great choice for dinner or lunch!!
