She got her grilled cheese pretty fast. Then my boyfriend's Burger came out. He ordered the Philly burger and he demolished that. Then the fries came out and my burger was still missing. We were told that it was cooking and it would be out shortly. Meanwhile, my daughter, and my boyfriend both finished their dinners. My burger finally came out, and it was nothing like the special was supposed to be. It came out hockey puck style, the meat was gray in the middle, the egg on it was overdone, no stuffing and no blue cheese to be found at all on it. I sent it back stating it was not what I ordered, and the girl took it in the back. The girl then came out with the same exact burger and a side of blue cheese crumbles. I guess they expected me to put blue cheese crumbles on top of my now cold burger, again not what I ordered. I handed it right back to her and told her that I wanted a refund. It was not what I ordered. It is now cold. I was very much looking forward to that burger. I have had blue cheese stuffed burgers before and they are normally delicious! The girl at the counter told me she could not refund me, so I asked for a manager. The manager came back out and the girl showed her my burger. She asked me what I ordered, and I pointed to the sign and said I ordered the special. She totally agree with me that it was not what I ordered and then offered to make me the burger that I did order. Now, my family was already done with their dinner and waiting to go home (mind you, we were now there almost an hour with no one else in the place except for us). I just told her I wanted a refund. I went home hungry, did not eat since breakfast and was super disappointed!

I was staying across the street at the Holiday Inn visiting from Maryland. I was without a car so I walked to the shopping center and decided to try Garden City Café as the smells enticed me in and the menu looked great. So glad I did! The food was amazing! I had the Eggplant Rotini and it was as good as any NY Italian restaurant would serve, better! It was so good I went back a few days later before I left for the airport, had the Shrimp Scampi and Eggplant again. Service was so friendly as well as the chef. Wow, this place is awesome! The decore is wonderful, with paintings from local artists! Seating is comfy, sofa type chairs, or at the bar! I have had lunch here at least 5 times since they opened at this location a few weeks ago. The staff is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing, and the food has been very good.
