This place used to be SIMA'S and they had wonderful Greek/Mediterranean food. This new Garden Grill House does not know how to make Mediterranean food. I ordered the Gyro sandwich plate. While the meat was fine and the pita was good, the tsatziki was tasteless! The tsatziki was watery and had some herbs floating, but no cucumber. It was awful. They need to learn how to make it or don't make it at all. They buy the meat already prepared and made so they don't have to do anything to it. This place should stick to burgers and not offer Mediterranean food! read more

Sima is now gone and has been renamed Garden Grill House. It is now owned by a different part of the family, and the original owner is no longer there. They did a big remodel, and it looks great. The new staff is awesome--very friendly and easy to talk to. They mentioned they will be adding new items to the menu, but so far, the menu has stayed the same with a few small changes. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger combo, which came to about $16 and included fries and a drink. They changed the buns from sesame seed to brioche, which I'm not a big fan of. There was too much bun, but besides that, it was a good burger with lots of bacon and a decent amount of fries. I'm excited to see what else they add to the menu in the near future. read more

This spot is a total hidden gem! How did we miss this when driving by Miramar Rd before? We were in the area for shopping and appointments and wanted a quick lunch, but then we saw kebab and polo on the menu and ended up ordering enough to take home for later. They have a great selection of sandwiches and burgers here, but the owners have a Persian and Afghan background so they have a variety of middle eastern cuisine too. All the meat is halal too, so that means the burgers are extra good. That burger was exceptionally good. We got a mix of kebab, and we were blown away by how juicy the chicken was. It's hard to find chicken kebab that doesn't get all dried out, but the way they do it here is perfect. Juicy lamb and beef kebab seasoned to perfection. The Qabuli Polo/Pulao is loaded with chunks of lamb too nestled in all that rice. The owners are the nicest guys and take such good care of their guests. The food came out quickly and they even helped us pack it up when we were done. They have plenty of seating inside, nice simple atmosphere for a quick lunch. A Hidden Gem in Miramar!! I was in the area today and decided to stop by Garden Grill House in Miramar. I learned from the staff that the previous owners retired after 40 years and passed the restaurant down to their family--great to hear it's still family-owned! Their menu offers a unique mix of Afghan, Persian, Greek, and American dishes, which is perfect for a group with different cravings. We ordered the koobideh plate, which was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The gyro sandwich plate was huge and came with crispy crinkle fries. The double cheeseburger--made with a 1/2 pound house-ground patty--was juicy and delicious. All their meats are halal, which is a rare find these days. We also tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was packed with flavor and definitely a must-try. I also love that they have a variety of options in case the kids aren't in the mood for Mediterranean food.
