Wow. A refreshing take on street food. Homemade bread!? It's was the fluffiest, tastiest bread I've had in a while. He set up his pop up tent outside grist house and was pleasant and all smiles form the second I approached him to look at the menu. His station was clean, he went over his menu and everything on it. We had the cod and shrimp sandwich. The shrimp was my favorite and the cod was my mom's. Unique, delicious and filling. All orders come with homemade chips. What a treat.

Great poke for lunch today. Really unassuming place under the Arsenal bowling lanes. I saw the…read morehandful of stellar reviews and had to give it a go. I love poke. This certainly didn't disappoint! I really missed the personal service that usually comes with sushi/poke --- but at Skai, they have 2 tablets by the front door where you place your order -- hello, fast casual. I got a seaweed salad and salmon poke. The salad came out practically before I sat down at one of the handful of tables in the place. The salad was dressed with a really flavorful dressing - and slices of crunchy cucumber were a nice touch. Yum! The salmon poke was super tasty --- smaller (than I've ever had) cubes of silky salmon over sushi rice with flavorful, satisfyingly crunchy osinko, aka- pickled veggies (not at all vinegar!!) - the daikon quite good, red cabbage, crisp cucumber. Cubes of ripe avocado, a small handful of edamame, and a bit of seaweed salad all come together nicely. I usually use a Japanese mayo or tobiko mayo w/ a bit of soy --- but no mayo on offer, I decided to go with just the soy that was on the table. Quite good! Can't wait to try this place again --- next time: sushi!

Unfortunately what I ordered, was nowhere near what I ordered…read more The dynamite roll had little eel and also included roe on top. I'm not a fan of roe so wouldn't order something with it on there. I picked most of them off. The mango tango roll had literally no mango! It also had crab stick on the inside. I'm also not a crab person so wouldn't have ordered. There was no sauce except maybe teriyaki? Neither were as described or picuted from the menu. It wasn't busy and I was the only one waiting. The one guy working was nice and friendly but should have mentioned if they are out of a certain item, replacing/adding something not listed what is including with the roll

Well this is a sad post to write... I just read that Cobra is closing in about 10 days. I recently…read morevisited cobra with two of my friends from out of town. We originally booked dinner and a karaoke room, but we ended up just doing the karaoke. We arrived on time and were taken to our private room. The employee was having technical difficulties but finally got everything working after 5-10 minutes. We asked about drinks and were told that someone would come in to check on us and take our drink orders. The karaoke room reservations are only for an hour so we got right into it! About 20 minutes into our session, no one had come in to take our drink orders. I decided to go out to the bar and order them myself. That took a little while so I was sad to have missed that time in the karaoke room. Our session ended right at the top of the hour, which is fine. However, the difficulties weren't factored in. No one did ever come in to check on us or take our drink order the whole time we were in there. Lastly, we had to figure out how to pay for the room. I asked a couple of people and was told to go to the bar bit the bartender couldn't find my reservation. He finally did and we paid and left. I love cobra and will try to visit for dinner one last time. However, the service this most recent time left some room to be desired.

We loved Cobra! Looking forward to going back one of these days…read more I love the vibe there. It's very dark, which is perfect for me. It got a bit loud after a while, but the atmosphere is great. I'm a big fan of places where you can cook your own meat & seafood. It's always perfectly cooked and warm. While the meat was amazing, my favorite part of the meal was the shrimp. The service was friendly and excellent. Our waitress explained all the options very well, since most of us had never been there. I recommend going with a pretty big group. Then, you can try everything. The all you can eat menu is a great option too. It's only available a couple nights a week, so check the website.
