Had takeout lunch here during the week when we visited Rockaway Beach in November 2021. My husband had the burger and it was great, the fries were also incredible. I had the shrimp salad and it was huge! We both had the seafood chowder and it was the single best thing we ate our entire week on the coast. We will for sure be back! read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants on the coast. We drive a ~60 mile around trip just to eat at this restaurant. We always have great food and excellent service. Favorite thing on the menu is the chicken sandwich, but they have a selection of amazing food. Went there for their last day open of 2018. Is it going to be a longer January until they open again. Twice now we have been surprised by huge portions, cheerful service (Megan is a gem), great smoked meats and sides, and a comfortable place to sit (away from kids, in the bar area). We were excited to try the Bistro on our trip to Garibaldi and were not disappointed. We even went back the next day..... and I think my husband could eat here for every meal! The tuna melt was outstanding, but so was everything we tried. I love small quaint places with interesting food and quality ingredients and it definitely fits the bill. The growing pains are painful. I'm sure they're trying to pull it together but the wait for food this past Friday was really unacceptable. It was at least an hour to get served. With a child who was being super patient, nonetheless she was practically asleep by the time it showed up. Not sure at this point how they can readjust to what they clearly weren't prepared for, but we saw people leaving who never got seated. I think after a month in their new location it should have started to gel. Food was pretty good and place was packed so clearly there's a need here for this type of establishment. read more

I would LOVE to write a good review as I hear this restaurant has great food, however, we have attempted to come here three times in the last couple years and have been unable to get in. I totally understand that COVID has made things really difficult for restaurants which is why we called before trying this time. We were told they were open but weren't sure if there would be a table and if not, we could order take out. When we got there the wait was 1.5-2 hours so we asked to order takeout and were told they weren't taking anymore takeout orders. Would have been nice to have been told this before we drove down. I'm not saying don't go, just suggesting you call ahead and plan to wait a LONG time. read more

Off the charts! After reading about this bistro on the North Coast Food Trail posts multiple times, we finally made it there, and were SO HAPPY! They boast about their ribs, which hubby said were off the charts! They had a special salad (cara cara with smoked chicken), which was delicious, and larger than you'd expect! The tri-tip salad with blue cheese was off the charts! What really stands out about this place is the owners and staff, who are focused on great food, great service, and therefore happy customers! Can't wait for them to open their larger building in May so many more can enjoy this great food! read more

This was our favorite stop while fishing. We and many of our family is down there most weekends of the summer. We were very excited to visit the new bistro relocated to a largess nicer facility. The menu seemed to change which is understandable. I had the smoked chicken sandwich. My husband and had clam strips. My chicken sandwich was not great to begin with. The lettuce was wilted and mushy. The sandwich literally fell apart when half was picked up. I tried eating just the meat off of it and the taste seemed strange. I couldnt put my finger on it but something was off. I only ate half. My husbands clam strips were barely any clam mostly breading. Lunch was 30.00 and a real disappointment. Well in about an hour we both were feeling ill. I ask my husband if he felt ok he said no his stomach was not happy. I was so nauseous if ruined the rest of our day. Next day I still felt awful. Not sure it was the food but we were both fine before going in there. Taste and options were not great. Tasted like cheap bar food. I support this restaurant and want them to be successful. I am hoping they will make changes to their menu to meet people's expectations at the beach. 30.00 was too steep for a simple lunch when the food seemed spoiled. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Waitress is very rude! Old and snappy woman! And the hostess who seated us was not very welcoming either! We have not been dining out due to covid and when we asked about an item, was told rudely that that they haven't had it on the menu for months! Gladly will go to PARKSIDE! Great prices and GREAT SERVICE! very disappointing outing after not being out in months! VERY RUDE all around. The manager of the place is a joke! Attacks anyone on here that leaves a bad review! When you actually do try to bring problems to their attention in person like suggested you get the same rude service. I support local as much as I can, will not be returning! read more

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing meal.ever last night!!! This is truly a hidden gem, very peaceful by the water, a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy. We had incredible service, we asked for the best thing on the menu and they did not disappoint. I have never had ribs soooooooo good that I had to order extra to take home!
