Interesting spot! It was the only place open on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. They had decent drinks - I got the blueberry martini (not very strong). Daughter got the fried shrimp and I got the shrimp Louie. I was a little disappointed to see it was made with bay shrimp but the dressing was delicious. Service was good. Such great service by everyone at this restaurant. I asked for something that was on the later menu and my server was so nice to ask the kitchen which accommodated me. It totally made my day. This place is absolutely a hidden gem. They had a 30 top in at a busy lunch rush and the owner jumped in to serve our table. The food is incredible and it was hard to pick. But the garlic cheese curds and pork tots were delicious. The burgers and sandwiches are huge. The BBQ sauce on the pork sandwich was one of the best I've had. It's such an incredible spot with a great location. Our family will absolutely come back here again. It's a beautiful restaurant too. Would recommend to anyone. read more

You can smell the smoky meats cooking outside. Yummy. Sat outside to enjoy Garibaldi, patio is big and dog friendly. Ordered the hamburger and Smoked Brisket Sandwich. Hamburger was very tasty with side of sweet potato fries. The brisket sandwich was a massive pile of smoked meats with a side of chips. The chips were delicious. Well, after shopping at the local bead store in Garibaldi I was now starving as that was quite exhausting, though awesome. The owner recommended this restaurant. From the start, the servers were wonderful. The menu also was wonderful. They've got all you could want from sandwiches, to entrees, to salad/soup. Also, there is a bar menu so you can quench your thirst. We both ordered a sandwich. She had the turkey combo. She asked them to just put turkey on instead of ham, bacon however. They made up for that by just putting so much turkey on her sandwich we had to engineer a way she could eat it.. She took some home to make a whole pot of turkey soup with the leftovers.. ;) Me? I had to have the reuben with the pumpernickel bread which is not easy to find all the time. Of course the reuben was amazing, so much that I brought it home to my partner because he loves reubens as much as I do. I believe this could become a habit for us when we come back to Garibaldi. read more

We walked in at 7:35. The hostess told us they stopped seating at 7:30 and couldn't serve us. All we got was "I'm sorry". We said we called ahead. Another curt "I'm sorry". I get it, they're probably short-staffed and everyone wanted to get home. But the restaurant was busy and many tables were still enjoying their food. Absolutely delicious! We went on Valentine's Day, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated within fifteen minutes. Our server was kind and quick to bring out our food, and the overall atmosphere was wonderful. On top of that, our appetizer was great (some sort of Greek pastry dish), and so were our drinks! Service by our server was horrible . After waiting 20 minutes to be seated in a 30% full restaurant we waited 25 minutes to get any attention. Another 15 minutes to take our order and after another 40 minutes without being served before we just got up and left. We were seated 20 minutes before a family of four they were served before us (Different server) I have the feeling that tourists are not welcome in many of these Oregon Coast towns and that most of the service people think they should be living like the Kardasians. Started off with a couple of great cocktails that were variations of some classics (e.g. tasty manhattan and a cosmopolitan-style cocktail with blood orange syrup added). My wife had the Seafood chowder which was good and I had the burger topped with bacon, goat cheese and blueberry sauce. Ordered some takeout last night, the 911 burger and a BLT. Both came with fries which were over salted and a bit soft. The BLT was good but it was prepared more like a grilled cheese so the bread was very greasy rather than simply toasted. Minimal lettuce and tomato but decent amount of bacon so was basically bacon and bread. The 911 was good but the finally diced jalapeños were hardly edible due to them being so spicy (which fine dicing does to them). The spring mix was not necessary as it was wilted due to the heat of the burger and had a slimy texture. Burger needed salt. Ordered both meals with side of ranch and ketchup and received one cup of ranch and 6 packets of ketchup. Was it worth $29? Probably not. read more

This is basically an upscale burger joint that also serves deli sandwiches. I stopped in for a pulled pork sandwich and a bowl of chowder. Not bad at all. I was surprised how crowded it was mid-week at around 3pm. This looks to be a regular townie hangout and the waitresses were really earning their tips while I was there. The place is situated right next to several wholesale/retail fresh seafood markets so I sort of assumed the Bistro would have a lot of seafood on the menu. Not so although the clam chowder was ok. Not the best I've had by a long shot but it was ok. On a par with Mo's (which I would rate as fair). The pulled pork sandwich was also ok although no one will ever mistake this place for a BBQ joint. Prices were a tad on the high side especially since they didn't exactly heap the meat onto my sandwich but it was ok and I guess reasonable. Probably four stars would be more accurate but I was starved and they got my food to me quickly so I was a happy do-bee. When I saw how packed the place was I figured I'd die of starvation before they got to me but it was all fine. read more

We had such a good time at this place! They have a fun mocktail menu. I got the jalapeño fizz and it was so delicious and not too sweet. We got the brisket tots as an appetizer and the brisket was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Great sauce on this dish too. It came in a cast iron and was visually appealing. I got the blueberry goat burger without a bun and some sweet potato fries. The blueberry compote and goat cheese complimented each other so well on the burger. The portions are insanely large but also great quality. Very good value at this place. Our server was so sweet and genuine. The view was quaint and patio was mostly shaded with some sunny spots. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in Garibaldi/Rockaway. read more

We found this place on Yelp, and I'm glad we did because it's not on the side of the major road/highway. The restaurant is located in the marina, and there's plenty of parking. The place is clean, and one can eat inside or outside. Staff were very friendly and were quickly to assist and answer any question about the menu. Decent beer selection, and one could find a beer to pair with your food. The menu had a variety of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and seafood. There's something for everyone. I ordered a barbecue chicken salad from the specials of the day menu, and my significant other ordered a pulled pork sandwich from the specials of the day menu. Both were really good!! The salad was huge, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. It had plenty of toppings and vegetables. The pulled pork sandwich was flavorful and a nice size!! We plan on returning again! Gluten Free Warning: this place is NOT as gluten friendly as advertised. I am not lowering my review because of this. I wanted other people to know that one has to be careful. Tator tots and sweet potato fries are labeled as gluten free, but everything is cooked in the same fryer!! Also, the gluten free buns are cooked and prepared in the same cooking area as other breads and foods. I never thought to add goat cheese and blueberries to a bacon cheeseburger! But I am go glad that I did! Yummy! I am a long-term resident in Tillamook County and I remember when this location was another restaurant that I rarely went to - it was dingy inside and the menu was unremarkable. We took the coastal scenic railroad into Garibaldi and stopped here for lunch before the ride back. Our service was wonderful. We sat on the patio. Everything was delicious. The food was pretty good however their service made our experience this low. The service was extremely slow and the server was not tentative at all. However that doesn't start the bad service. From the beginning the host told us the wait was going to be 30-45 mins which was fine but the table they ended up putting us was empty the entire time we waited and the host took her precious time setting the table and just glared at us while we were sitting. The server was not tentative, we had asked for specific sauces with our meal and he never brought it to us even though we asked for it twice then he forgot our waters as well. He just lallygagged with the host while we were waiting for our checks and we ended up taking the checks up to him . We're not from here and we were on a family vacation so we will most likely not go back or recommend it read more

Simply wow. Food is exceptional, one of the best burgers I've had and perfectly crunchy and tasty fries. Service (from everyone not just our server) was top notch, accommodating, friendly, engaging and attentive. My friend and I liked it so much at lunch (on their cozy patio looking over the Marina) we went back for dinner and live music in celebration of their 7 year anniversary. Owners are humble and grateful and it's evident there is a community of supporters that love this Bistro and I can see why.
