So I came to pick up a small catering order for an event at the office. The pickup time was set for 12pm. I arrived at 12:03p...typical ATL traffic! I figured 5 min late for a pickup wouldn't be bad...I know my ppl...we sometimes need that extra love to put on our food!! Well I was told...20 min... in which I cracked a half smile because I thought 20 min was long but I had to wait for it.... I came back in at 12:30 (gave em an extra 5 min!) And it's not ready....5 more min please.. well it's now 12:55pm and 1 pan is ready.. still waiting for 2 more pans! I cannot rate all of the food but I come here specifically for the mac and cheese ! It's just sooo good that I am willing to travel a distance to get it. I like people to give service with a smile or some level of friendliness. I've only experienced that with an amazing employee named Archer. She is the best!!! I really appreciate her customer service. She isn't always out front because she seems to help out when it gets busy but she is such a pleasure to deal with. This is the place to come to when you're missing a taste of the Caribbean. Delicious menu items that include baked breads and cakes, cookies. The meals are top notch. ( you can see the food at the counter) I had the jerk chicken and beans n rice, plantin and a side of cabbage. Everything is just as I remember it, cooked to perfection. I have to say the food is filling and spot on with no complaints. My daughter had the curry chicken it reminded me of my mother in laws homemade curry. The seasoning and the smell of all the food has transported my memories. You can't go wrong with the portions because they serve you plenty. A friend told me this location opened up a while ago and I just haven't been able to go for a visit. However one day I was not feeling well and a fried suggested getting some good and nourishing breakfast . We called and ordered Corn Meal Porridge, and a Breakfast plate (Ackee, Callaloo, Fried Dumpling and Plantain). This location is about 25 minutes away and I happened to mention it to the young lady during the phone order. Upon arrival, low and behold my order was kept in the warmer room ensure it wouldn't get cold! What AWESOME customer service! THANK YOU I ended up adding a Spinach Patty to the order for dinner. Inside, the place is very clean and spacious encouraging a dine in experience if desired. I was on my way to a medical appointment otherwise we would have stayed. The food was absolutely delicious and WELL seasoned! The food is cooked so well and I saw no short corners taken which provided great flavor and quality food. For example, the porridge had real cinnamon sticks and the ackee had onions & green peppers with whole pieces of Ackee and not scrambled mush you get at other restaurants. not happy at all. when I walked in the young lady working there on Saturday 9/6/25 at 11 AM did not even smile and say hello. When it was time for me to order she didn't even say may I help you, she just looked up at me waiting for me to tell her what I wanted. I had already decided I wasn't gonna order any food because she had no hair net on and her hair weave /wig was hanging over the food. Prior to her serving me she was filling the order for a customer in front of me she had she had very long nails and no gloves on. I definitely wasn't going to order food. I work in Healthcare and we can't wear acrylic nails because of cross contamination and infection. In the food industry UNDER these girls nails could be feces urine germs and bacteria it is disgusting...... unless they literally take a brush and clean under their nails toilet each time they use the toilet it's not sanitary. This new location maybe not so new but new to me is very clean modern with digital screens and it needs fixtures. The price of the food was reasonable but the quality was lacking. The food was just OK but it seems like they cut corners were cheaper ingredients or only halfway seasoned food. When it's all said and done, you will be expected to pay 30 bucks for a large oxtail dinner. The taller of the two ladies that work behind the counter at the Hiram location has caused me to longer patronize any Golden Krust locations going forward. She scooped a bunch of oxtail bones out of the gravy and proceeded to close the container. I HAD TO INQUIRE if they had a new batch of oxtails in the back with actual oxtail meat having to point out that what they placed in the container was nothing but bones for my 30 dollars. They act reluctant to even provide more gravy for the heaping amount of dry so called rice and beans they're willing to fill your to-go box up with. HINT: You'd also be hard pressed to find a bean in their so-called beans and rice! The taller lady even physically counts how many fried plantains she picks up with her tongs...to place in your to-go box .....I had to remind her that even Golden Coral has these on there all you can eat self serve buffet. Beware! Golden Krust is now charging the customer the merchant (transaction fee) for debit or credit card purchases. It was bad enough that I spent $21 for a small Styrofoam container of oxtail meat which I thought was over-priced but my total bill came up to a little over $24. When I looked at the bill, I noticed a "card transaction" fee. When I remarked that I had paid with a debit card, I was told that "It doesn't matter. Credit or Debit card purchases will be assessed the transaction fee." Since when did the customer become responsible for the transaction fee on a debit card purchase? The few pieces of not very well seasoned oxtail was not worth $24. I won't be going back because I don't think the food is all that great anyway. read more

Golden crust is the Jamaican food chain in typically franchised. I have been quite a bit disappointed in this particular location I have Visit now about four times. Number one the prices are higher than I typically have seen and the portions are smaller. Restaurant is beautiful and clean located in the center of the Shopping Center across from Walmart and caddy corner to the dollar tree. Additionally the Jamaican food is below par it is average spices for someone who doesn't know good Caribbean food. Will i eat there again? Yes just because of the location and if i Really want Caribbean food but the odds of that are low. I would rather try somewhere else. They have good good and good service. I had the Jerk wings plate with rice and peas. What I love about this place is the fact that you can add oxtail gravy to your rice and peas. I recommend you try it if you haven't. Then they also have the Rasta Pasta and Macaroni and cheese. Both items are packed with tremendous flavor. I've been here twice and I've had a great experience each time. I did however get my food made to order because I only eat seafood. So I'm not sure if that why my food is alway great. Their soups, shrimp and fish are great and authentic. Food wise: this spot is NO comparison to Kennesaw. I ordered the large oxtails with extra gravy and I swear only one had actual meat and the sauce was pretty watery. Again, great customer service here; however, I certainly wouldn't return. You might encounter some attitudes at the Kennesaw location, but at least their oxtails have less fat, more meat and are less expensive. I got home feeling like I wasted $20. This Restaurant in Florida is one of my favorite places for Caribbean/ Jamacian food. However this location in Cobb county Marietta Ga. The Hospitality was deplorable! The ox-tails had been sitting there for days looks like. I only had about one or two bites before my stomach started cringing, aches, and pain. Let's not talk about going to work the next day. I couldn't eat a thing or release any gass!!! I was up all night to and from the restroom. I went back the next day to speak with a manager and he was a bully!
