I don't have anything to complain about for my first trip here! Food was excellent, service was great, place was clean, environment was family friendly for lunch. I'll definitely be back! We tried the southwest salad, BLT and tacos. All had plenty of flavor, came out hot!

Not sure why this place has less than 4 stars. It's not a high end bougie restaurant, but the menu is extensive and has something for everyone. I would call this upscale/craft bar food. We came on National Margarita Day so I opted for the premium margarita. Not the best I have ever had, but it was smooth and not cheap tasting. Very good. We got the zucchini fries to start. Amazing. Light and crispy with the best homemade ranch. I always ask my server what their favorite menu item is if I've never been. I opted for her recommendation which I had been eyeing anyways - the sweet spicy fried chicken sandwich. Had a major kick without too much sweet which I loved. Get yourself some ranch or blue cheese on the side to dip it in to cut the spice a bit. My friend got the cheeseburger flatbread. It was huge. Our server says the size differs based on who is in the kitchen just fyi. Loved our server Sarah. We also came in on a Tuesday which happened to be trivia night so even though we were terrible it was fun!

We bought some tokens and began browsing the arcade options; we tried a claw machine and attempted a 2nd try, but it would not take our coins. I attempted to get the attention of a young lady working, but she had an AirPod in so it took a minute. When I finally got her attention, she told us in a condescending manner that the machine was "turned off" and couldn't be used. That alone, removed our desire to purchase drinks from this place. Additionally, there is only one person in the kitchen and one person working the bar, which showed slow service. The arcade options are nice though, nothing crazy that would make me choose this bar + arcade over others. When I did go to purchase more tokens, the machine was apparently out of service, but still took our money. We told the same young lady and received another response in distasteful manner, telling us that the machine was obviously out of service but that she would get us our coins. It's a quaint small place in the area, but for the service I received, I'd rather make the drive to Raleigh and other areas to other bar + arcade locations I actually enjoy.

Lonerider was very accommodating and accessible for both humans and dogs. Let's talk about beer and cocktails. As I was DD, you'll have to take my spouse's word for the beer. He enjoyed a couple of IPA's on the menu, and they very kindly made me a mocktail for half the price (which I'm grateful for as the drive back to Northern VA is kind of long, and I don't need to get pulled over with two newly adopted beagles already scared for their lives.) The outlaw extra menu, which is made up of specialty kegs on tap, also had a good variety on it. The big screen with all the different beers currently available is pretty cool. And I like that there's a fridge stocked up with take home beers, too. Plenty of parking outside. The beer garden was packed full of people and dogs and pop-up shops, still with room to sit and enjoy a beer or two. Inside there was plenty of seating and room to move around without stepping on any paws. I love that a portion of the proceeds from these events always goes back to TriBeagles, and I'm thankful for local businesses supporting these precious dogs in finding homes by providing event space. I wish we lived closer, Lonerider. We'd be here all the time.

I was impressed with so many of them, that I knew I had to make the journey from Raleigh to Wake Forest. On a chilly Saturday afternoon, I took the lone remaining seat at the bar. The service was incredible friendly (Cheers!) and they let me try 4 samples, which was very much appreciated. My favorites were the Juicy January and and the Yellow Submarine, both are Hazy IPAs. The JJ had hints of creamy pineapple in it, refreshing without being too light. The YS tasted a little more balanced, a really good all around beer. The Where I Belong was also good, this one leaned a little more towards West Coast, but it didn't have a strong piney taste like a lot of West Coasts can. I even noticed hints of caramel in it as well, which helped to counter the hops. There are several TVs and they'll put on just about any game you request. Also if you're into pumpkin beer, try the Pumpkin Amber when it's around. It's a Top 3 pumpkin beer that I've ever tried, and I've tried at least 25.

The Norwegian-inspired menu is full of hearty and flavorful items. Our opener of Loaded Beer-Cheese Tots paired with a couple of co-owner/Brewmaster Brad Wynn's brewed on-site beers was heavenly. You MUST sample several of his creations, and take a moment to see the incredible brewery that is a huge part of the experience - his wife Lynn gave us a quick and amazing tour of the brewery, see pics. I had the Viking Burger, a carnivorian delight made from elk, bison, boar and wagyu meats and a half Norwegian salad that had us swooning with pleasure - a full salad would be a satisfying main vegetarian entree. Paul's Wisconsin Brat was so good, gonna hafta to have that during our next visit.
