    Deviled eggs

Came by one evening during the week. Business was slow, but service is on top. Friendly host, friendly service, friendly establishment. Plenty of parking shared with other businesses. The ceviche was okay as it had an olive aftertaste. The deviled eggs were on point! Will definitely repeat that appetizer. My main entry weee the shrimp tacos. Don't be fooled by the size of these tacos. Two very well filled me up. Of course don't forget to order a tequila or margarita or whatever fancies you. Thanks for a delightful evening

Patio is great to be out on. Really good service too. Deviled egg appetizer was on fire and we ate them up. Crab cake sandwich...ditch the chunk of iceberg and try arugula for flavor and aesthetically pleasing. A little more spice in the remoulade would be better, but crab was good and fresh. Husband had the regular cheeseburger and fries, again with the chunk of iceberg, some other type of greens should be used for this level of dining. Other than this, it was fantastic! Will be back to try more menu items.

I Came here Saturday night May 20th. I'm disappointed that I trusted Gastby's Grill to deliver a wonderful experience for my birthday! If you read the reviews below you will see the majority are not happy about the speed of service! It takes a long time to receive meals and appetizers! We set over 30 mins waiting for appetizers, than the waiter came and asked were we ready to order dinner, while we still did not receive appetizers! I sent back two meals that were not good! The second meal was cold I did not eat it and I explained to the waiter and she still charged me! We were a party of 8 so once we received the tab it was all together. We asked if we could have it split two ways we were told no and that's fine but it's how we were told. "NO SORRY WE DONT SPLIT TABS HERE" loudly and rude! Others in our party were missing drinks and sent back food as well. The drinks is probably the only thing that was good here plus my Deviled eggs! The restaurant is made so beautiful! Such nice decor! Service and food does not amount to the price you pay and paying a high amount is not an issue but only if it's worth it. I will not be returning!

My first time at this place. We went here for Valentine's Day and we had an alright time. The appetizer were the best part, the quest and puffy tortilla chip (reminiscent of a puffy taco shell taste) combination was AMAZING 8.75/10 The devil eggs with bacon jam and the shrimp was the start of the show. 10/10. I would go to happy hour just for this and the queso and chips. The lobster roll was not that good to me. I didn't finish it. I have eaten a lot of different lobster rolls and i make them myself and it just wasn't up to par in my opinion. I wouldn't get it again. Overall I would come here for the appetizer again in a heart beat but not for the entrees.

I am ecstatic that Gatsby's is opened a grill restaurant in the neighborhood. The food has always been delicious and well worth every penny. I ordered the Cobb salad and the Gatsby's Prime Burger with French fries. Delicious, yummy. Love the atmosphere always. Happy that the patio will be opened. The staff was lovely, Gatsby's always has exceptional staff, good quality customer service. Definitely going back to try more on the menu and enjoy the ambiance. I went back for a 2nd go round, I ordered the BBQ Burger - LAWDY have mercy it was so GOOD. Gatsby Meatballs hit the spot and to top it all off the Woodford Reserve Bourbon neat. Magnifique ~ Gatsby always satisfies the tummy, the wallet, ambience and energy.

We went to try out this past weekend and the food and ambiance was great. They have a great outdoor patio with an outdoor, indoor bar. The menu ranges from steaks, pasta to burgers. The bacon maple syrup appetizer is to die for along with the shrimp deviled eggs. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious . I can't wait to go back and try out their steaks. We will absolutely return here very soon.

Service very quick to sit us down waiter took about 7 min to come get our drinks not being rude I was timing it though . The restaurant is very nice inside and has a great sit down area outside. Server was great and polite , food was fresh ordered a burger, calamari, deviled eggs and the seafood pasta. Calamari was great comes with shrimps and some peppers great combination or food and good size serving , delived eggs were the best I'd say definitely try those. Now for the burger it's very good full of flavor not sure the name but It came with a egg very worth it, the seafood pasta is delicious as well no complains on maybe a lil to much oil and butter but overall delicious would I eat it again no I'm not a pasta fan but I enjoyed it . This location is brand new very nice inside and out highly recommend if you want to have a nice dinner or lunch in a place that looks luxurious this is it close to downtown next time I plan on trying a steak also the have a bar . They do happy hour 4-7 during the week. I recommend to give it a try . Unfortunate update about 3 hours later so, I had the seafood pasta that's all I've eaten today once home I started feeling bad a very bad stomach ache now I'm in and out of the restroom.

The service and ambiance here is A1. I had the shrimp taco and tried the angry chicken. The shrimp tacos were a 6/10 and fries 5/5 a bit soggy. The shrimp could have been blackened more and had more flavor. The angry chicken sandwich was overpowered with the buffalo sauce but the Ceasar salad was a winner. I also tried the Gatsby Margarita with peach. 7/10. I would definitely come back to have a few more of their drinks! Service was awesome! I'm giving it 3 stars because I came for the food not the drinks. Hopefully next time it'll be better with a different entree.

We just left here and I have mixed feelings about this place. Our waiter was very friendly and courteous but my goodness he was SLOW. The food is great but the kitchen is also extremely slow. The appetizer alone took about twenty minutes and our entrees took forever as well. The food tasted amazing but none of it was hot when it came out. Please keep in mind that this place was completely dead tonight. The lack of customers was the first thing I noticed upon arrival so I can't understand why the service was dragging. Im on the fence about giving this place another shot. I forgot to take a pic of the appetizers but we got the deviled eggs and chargrilled oysters which were great.

    Chicken Fried Steak

Deviled eggs with bacon jam: These are the best Deviled eggs I've had in a while.  The fried shrimp was glazed with a Thai Chili sauce. Chicken Fried Steak: The chicken fried steak itself was actually really good. The problem is they serve lemon butter on the steak instead of gravy....terrible idea. I didn't know or I would have asked for it to be omitted.  All entrees are served with brocolini and mashed potatoes. Both were good! It would have been very nice to have cream gravy. I asked for some and there was none in the establishment. I've never heard of anyone serving chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes without a gravy option. The negatives: My dining companion had a molded Strawberry in their drink. Yep, true story. Sent the drink back and they replaced it. The macaroni and cheese was terrible.  An undoctored box of kraft mac and cheese taste 10 times better than those dry noodles we were served. They serve lemon butter on top of everything. Terrible idea as lemon butter does not go over everything. Overall, this is one of those places that's a hit and miss. Some food was good and some a no thank you. They also need to add a brown or cream gravy to the chicken fried steak and have as an option for mashed potatoes.

The food was amazing and a reasonable price! My partner and I went after a long day of work and the environment was so relaxing and beautiful and just what we needed. The complimentary bread was great too. Service was excellent! For a recently opened restaurant we were impressed!!

I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

Houston has done it again! I'm going to be a little controversial here, but why is the food so much…read morebetter here than it is it Dallas? Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

Is this the most overrated restaurant in Houston?…read more After being on my "To Try" list for an unacceptable amount of time, I finally made my way over to Nancy's Hustle. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation. I arrived about 30 minutes into open and there was already a wait list. I suggest getting there early or making a reservation if you're not a solo diner. The interior is nice and intimate, with low lighting that doesn't work well for photos but definitely for a cozy dinner. The set up and music reminded me a little bit of 93 Til due to the decor. I started with the duck dumplings and the Nancy cakes. I wasn't expecting it but they offer half orders which is great for a solo diner who wants to try multiple things. Both items were delicious. The dumplings had a nice savory sauce with some texture from the peanuts. These were great but probably my bottom of the list which is saying something. I would only say this because they reminded me a lot of the hot oil wontons from duck and bao so at that price point, you might as well get more. The Nancy cakes were pillowy and savory and made a great vessel for honey butter and roe. I even used a bit to dunk into the leftover dumpling sauce. I suggest eating these as soon as they hit your table. I was trying to savor my bites but the cakes benefit a lot from being nice and hot. It's not the most ground breaking dish in the world but it's done well and I would definitely call it a must order. I could have eating a full order of it alone. My main dishes is where my mind was blown. I went with the roast chicken and half order of the gem lettuce salad and fries. This might be the best roast chicken I've ever had in Houston. Chicken can be a hit or a miss because sometimes, there just isn't much flavor. This was absolutely not the case here. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to the core. It even heated up well as left overs without being dry. The chili sauce on the bottom was flavor intensified and as I swiped my chicken through the pools of sauce, I thought to myself "overrated where?!". The gem salad caught me by surprise. I'm not one to stay away from a salad at a restaurant because they typically do them better than you can make at home . Nancy's Hustle solidified this opinion. The salad was wonderfully briney and savory. The lettuce was crisp and covered in the herby shallot dressing that grabbed my taste buds. Topped with anchovies and pancetta for a nice salty touch. So so good. The fries were the perfect side, crisp and not too potatoey (yes this is a thing). I traded in the aoli for some ketchup because that's just my thing. I concluded this wonderful dining experience with a dessert. Buttermilk ice cream with cornflakes, black berries and honey butter cookie. This dessert was a lesson in balance. Every component was present , sweet, salty, crunchy, cool. Each bite had something new to offer and combined into a perfectly executed dessert. As a cocktail, I tried their tropical drink. I don't remember what it was called but I know I could have drank about 7 of those. This was a great dining experience. I think when things get popular, sometimes we feel the need to be contrarians with our experiences. That wasn't the case for me. Nancy's Hustle has earned its popularity and I'll definitely be back

First, we got there pretty early for our reservation. We sat almost immediately upon check in. Our waiter was in training but did a really good job. Ordered a whiskey sour. Was seated at the bar so I got to watch it be made. The bartender- man that guy never stopped. He was organized and just did his thing. So many pretty drinks were made while I was there watching. The pink one, whatever it was, was really pretty! On to the food. We got two apps, two meals, and two desserts. Husband ordered the Brussels, Steak Frites, and the Devil's Affogato. I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it. Unfortunately, just like my first visit, they were not fully met. We had reservations for brunch, and our party of six was seated immediately on the beautiful second floor. Service was efficient throughout the meal, with our waiter taking our orders promptly and the food arriving quickly. To start, we ordered the Brussels and the hummus. The Brussels were cooked very well and had an excellent crispy texture, but I felt the kung pao vinaigrette lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. A little more sweetness and acidity would have helped brighten the dish and make it more memorable. The hummus, on the other hand, pleasantly surprised me. Both the red beet hummus and edamame hummus were flavorful and enjoyable. They paired well with the crisp flatbread and even served as a nice accompaniment to some of our less exciting entrées. For my meal, I ordered the marinated artichoke pizza, which unfortunately did not stand out. I had the same issue that I experienced during my previous visit: the crust was simply too thick and chewy. After a few slices, my jaw was genuinely getting tired from all the chewing. The pizza also could have benefited from more bacon and a more generous amount of sauce, as it came across a bit dry overall. The campanelle suffered from a similar problem. While I understand that simplicity was likely the goal, the dish was so understated that it ended up feeling bland. It tasted like a slightly elevated version of buttered pasta with just a hint of white wine. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but it lacked the depth of flavor needed to make it memorable. On a much more positive note, the carrot cake pancakes were easily the star of the meal. I tend to gravitate toward savory breakfasts, but my sister was eager to try them, and I am so glad she did. These were not your typical pancakes. They were thick, fluffy, and incredibly soft in the center. With toppings like maple butter, maple cream, mascarpone whip, candied walnuts, and cardamom sugar, I expected the dish to be overwhelmingly sweet. Surprisingly, everything was balanced quite well. While I cannot imagine finishing an entire plate by myself, anyone with a sweet tooth would absolutely love them. Overall, this restaurant continues to impress me with its atmosphere, service, and a few standout dishes, but the entrées I have tried have not lived up to the hype. If I were to return, I would happily order the hummus and carrot cake pancakes again, but I would probably skip the pizza and pasta in favor of trying something new.

The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

This is the one place that truly lives up to the reviews!! We went here as a date night. First…read morethings first, they actually paid attention to the reservation and put us in a great spot. I feel like whenever I ask for certain things on the reservation they are never addressed so it was a great start to finally be recognized! Food: We got the beef Wellington, ravioli, naan bread, and sticky toffee for dessert and everything was 12 out of 10. The service was wonderful; our waitress had a true passion and told us the story about the Chef. We truly enjoyed our experience and will absolutely be back again. I think this is one place that I would trust to go out of my comfort zone on food and everything will be phenomenal.
