Happy with my visit to Gauchos. Greeted quickly when placing my order. Food came out quick. The sandwich had a hefty amount of meat, there was a good amount of sauce, and toppings tasted fresh. Minus one star as I thought the steak was lacking seasoning- but the toppings and dressing made up for it. Prices were kinda hefty in my opinion- but on par for the other restaurants in the Garage so can't fault them for it. Gaucho's Fire is one of the many restaurants in The Garage in Bottleworks. I hadn't been here before but I was excited to try it out since I enjoy street food, as they offer. I looked forward to the Brazilian twist. Our food came out within a few minutes. They provide table buzzers so you can sit down while you wait. I got the chimichurri steak fries with a side of Brazilian cheese bread and Brazilian limonade. The limonade was probably my favorite of the three. It's more lime based, and has some cream in it as well so it is very refreshing with a little more indulgence. The chimichurri steak fries were pretty good too. They add a good amount of the sauce to the steak and they use the battered fries which are delicious! The Brazilian cheese bread was okay, it wasn't very cheesy as far as I could taste and was slight greasy. I'll admit here that I could be wrong though and this is how it's supposed to be. At least for my preference, I want a cheesy bread to be really cheesy. Overall it was a good experience. With all the choices in The Garage, I don't know yet if I'd be rushing back to this spot as a new favorite, but I'd certainly come again to try something different! read more

A popular shack style store inside Garage food hall. There are seating area in the common space right in front and around the restaurant. Their menu has lots of exciting Brazilian sandwiches, skewers, and a variety under "Special" section. I ordered the cheese bread and beef pastel. Took them about 5 minutes to have the order ready. The associate at register was very friendly, taking orders and also handing them out to everyone. The cheese bread was puffy, tasted really good. The pastel had a deep fried skin, seemed over cooked. This was definitely a tasty, filling sandwich. I think next time I'll ask for no or less mayonnaise but that's just my preference and I think would make it not quite as heavy of a meal. Wow. These were great nachos and the meat was flavored so well and tender. My only feedback is I hate when someone dumps the chips in the bottom and all the toppings go on the very top. The boat was full and it's hard to get it stirred so that you have toppings all the way to the bottom of your chips. I like a place where they put down some chips put a little bit of toppings and cheese than layer some more chips that way it's a good experience all the way evenly through and you don't have to swap the nachos everywhere trying to get it stirred. Working my way through The Garage and finally stopped at Gaucho's. My mom is a super picky eater and she loved the Brazilian Steak sandwich. She didn't even pick off the tomatoes, which I have never seen her eat in my life. My brother had the sausage sandwich and loved it. They were both kinda iffy about the chicken skewers. I tried the fries and dipped them in gauchos sauce. I couldn't figure out the flavor exactly - mayonnaise and ?? - but it was delicious. Gaucho's Fire is located in The Garage/Bottleworks. It is super easy to find on the north side of the building. Lines are typically long but they move quickly. So this visit I had the loaded Guacho Fries with sausage, chicken and steak, provolone and their own special sauce over fries. It was tasty and filling, not quite sure about the mayo-based sauce as it was heavy on the mayo to the point you could taste it. Now I like fries dipped in mayo but I think it threw this moment off for me. Next time I will ask for the sauce on the side and use a good, old faithful hot sauce instead. They have tons of great options so I am sure you will figure it out and love this place like I do. I also grabbed their Brazilian Lemonade (non-alcoholic). There is a paid parking lot in the back and metered parking on the street available. I went the cheap route and parked in the nearby neighborhood for free and had a nice walk. It was less than a quarter mile. The atmosphere in the food court is awesome. It is very trendy and clean. I order the Brazilian steak with fries and it was prepared very quick. I waited less than 5 minutes. They have tables all over the food court where you can eat or you can take your food and run. The fries were ok, a bit greasy and over cooked for me but edible. My steak sandwich though, was off the chain. It was delicious. I highly recommend it. It was a nice spin on the standard steak sandwich. He ordered a soda and I asked for a cup of ice water and the person taking our order said no, you have to buy a bottle of water. Let me tell you about one of my new favorite snack combos found at Gaucho's Fire in The Garage at Bottleworks (ahem, dangerously close to our home). Gaucho's Fire started as a Brazilian food truck and now also offers catering and the brick and mortar stand at Bottleworks. One of the things I love most about food halls is being able to build fun meals featuring multiple dishes and cuisines. In the case of Gaucho's Fire, my two new go-to's are the "Brazilian lemonade" featuring a freshreshing combo of coconut milk and lemonade poured over ice. Goodness, it tastes like summer or a beachy-drink that would pair beautifully with liquor. Next up, you can't go wrong with the "Brazilian cheese bread" (Pão de queijo) which is a small, baked cheese bun, a popular snack in Brazil- made from cassava. We love making these at home but it's hard to beat skipping the mess and grabbing them next door from Gaucho's. The experience is always speedy and down to business. A vegetarian enjoying a Brazilian restaurant? Yep. It's been so amazing to watch Gaucho's Fire blossom from a small food truck to one of the most popular dining places inside the Garage Food Hall. There's nearly always a line, if that tells you anything. I usually end up ordering the cheese sandwich with a side of Gaucho's fries. It's a filling meal, to say the least. The spices are incredible, and the seasoning of the fries is hard to beat. I also love how fresh everything is. It's always straight off the grill or the fryer. I can't wait to come back and try their Brazilian cheese bread - a dish I always think of when I think of traditional Brazilian food. I hope that caipirinhas are added to the menu to help wash everything down. It's also important to note the incredible diversity of their staff and how friendly/nice/helpful they always are! Get the Brazilian cheese bread, if only because it is so unique. It's like eating a tiny, soft pillow made of cheese-flavored bread -- a pillow that could fit in the palm of your hand. And you get five of them per order! Enough to share ... or not, because these tiny cheesy pillows are addictive. The Brazilian cheese bread was the highlight of our meal at Gaucho's Fire, which is located inside The Garage food hall at Bottleworks. We also got the Gaucho's Fries, which is a layer of fries with grilled sausage, something called gaucho sauce, provolone cheese and grilled onions on top. The sausage tasted like the andouille variety, although I could have been wrong. An order of Gaucho's Fries is huge and can be easily shared between two people. It was big, but it was a little less than impressive. My husband was convinced that he could have made something like it, or made something even better himself. Nevertheless, we ate it all. It was filling, but I would probably try something different next time. I love that you can get Brazilian fast-casual food in Indy, so I'll definitely be back to try more food from the menu. read more

If you haven't been to the food hall, just be prepared to choose from many different options. The smells coming from Gauchos caught my attention quickly. All of the menu options looked delicious. If I had a bigger stomach and a fatter wallet, I would have tried all of them, lol! But anyway, I ordered the Ultimate Brazilian Sandwich along with a Brazilian lemonade for lunch. Yummmmmyyy!!!! Soooooo gooood! The bread was soft and warm and it soaked up the juices and sauces from the sausage, steak, and peppers. The wait was not long at all because I came early in the day to beat the lunch rush. The Brazilian lemonade was made with milk and it didn't take away from the fruitiness of the drink. It was packaged very nicely (as we took it to go) and remained fresh until we got home to eat it. They were friendly and quick and the prices were fair. Omg was this so good!! The meat was beyond flavorful. The Garage is packed with good food options, but one thing it's lacking is some healthier options...which is why I opted for the Brazilian spot to try out their salads. However, it was SO hard to resist getting one of the sandwiches once I got up there. They looked AMAZING! However, the salad did not disappoint! I got the signature sauce for dressing! Service was friendly and faster than most places I've tried out at the garage. Love that new places like the garage are coming to indy! Very much foot court feel, but upscale! All your friends/family can choose which restaurant they please and you can find a seat in the middle. Why don't all food courts sell alcohol though?!
