We started with the Café de Olla, and wow--it was excellent! Honestly, the coffee alone would be enough of a reason for me to come back. It was perfectly made and had so much flavor. We also ordered the chilaquiles with beans, potatoes, and eggs. The eggs were a little more well-done than over-medium, but the chilaquiles themselves were delicious. The birria de res was full of flavor and served hot, just the way it should be. The kids had rice and beans and a burger, and everyone enjoyed their meals. There are still several things on the menu I'd love to try, so I'll definitely be coming back. The restaurant itself was nice, clean, and had a trendy feel. The patio is beautiful and will be especially nice once the weather cools down. Service was also great--friendly and attentive. My only suggestion would be to add a really good spicy salsa. We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately they didn't deliver. Clean restaurant with ambient decor and a cozy patio. The service was hit or miss. Made it hard to order food or get napkins. The food did come out fast though. I ordered chile verde with eggs,rice and beans. Good tasting sauce and pork but the portions were small. I was still hungry after I cleaned my plate. Had to finish my kids breakfast to satisfy my appetite. My wife tried their huevos rancheros. She liked her food but had the same complaint as me. My kids did enjoy their pancake breakfast. It was big enough for them to share. No complaints. The cafe de holla is delicious. Would have ordered a second cup but by the time our waitress came we changed our minds. The horchata was good too. Not too powdery. This place has only been open for about 3 weeks and I live in the city so of course I had to come and try this place out(: When we arrived we overheard the waiter saying how it's been their busiest day ever since a tik tok recently went viral for them. They were rushed with so many customers that I don't think they expected to have in one day. By the time my boyfriend and I came you can tell it slowed down, we came around 3pm on a Sunday. We got seated right away and we were able to get seated inside, although outside wouldve been just as nice too, the whole outdoor seating is shaded so it was actually fresh outside and the outdoor dining is so spacious and cute! As appetizers we ordered the Taquito platter (potato), perfect for 2 people. The potato was very soft and flavorful and was served with a good amount of guac. We also ordered the Mollete, first time having this and I loved it! The Bolillo had the perfect crunch and flavor of the chorizo and melted cheese was delicious. I ordered the red chilaquiles plate, the entire plate was packed with flavor and I really liked the flavor of the sauce. My over medium eggs were perfectly cooked. My boyfriend ordered an al pastor taco, the tortilla was so soft, the meat was soft and honestly one of my fav items and I'm not even a big fan of Al pastor but this meat was tender and tasty. He also ordered the Enmoladas, the mole sauce was more on the spicy side than sweet which I liked since that's my preference. It had the perfect kick and wasn't too spicy. It had a good amount of chicken. To drink we got a Jamaica and Horchata, both were refreshing and not too sweet. Overall I enjoyed the food, the service was expeditious despite the rush they encountered earlier in the day. It's a cute, cozy family oriented restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food. It's small parking lot so you might not find something right away. We accidentally entered through the door that leads from the back parking lot... but the entrance is on the side of the street. It's pretty small place. Very intimate. When we arrived there was no seating and we waited about 10 minutes to get seated for a table for 2. This place is very authentic. We went there about three weeks ago for the first time. The food is good, but it's pricey and the portions are for a child. Not worth the price! We paid over $70 for basic food huevos rancheros and Chilaquiles we did order desserts because we did not feel satisfied with our food. I would give it another try because I do want to support small businesses in the community maybe in a year. If they're still around. There was no salsa for our dishes which is weird for a Mexican restaurant and we couldn't even ask because they were so busy. There's also no chips, which is fine but if you like chips and salsa keep that in mind. The plates are also on the smaller side in my opinion considering the price is the same if not more than some already well established Mexican restaurants in Pico Rivera. Café de olla was on the sweeter side I like mine to taste more like coffee and also only comes with one free refill. Our food did come out fast though so no complaints on that and the staff was very nice even though I feel it would have been better if they had at least two waitresses. this is our second time here and the service has improved tremendously. The food is still very good. Great flavor I got the carne en su jugo 1000\10 my husband got the Beria. It was delicious. First of all parking is tight in the tea if you do it find parking in the small parking lot you will not find it in the street . Streets are over crowded. She said it did it have flavor only spicy. She had to ask for all the condiments because no one brought them . I ordered chilaquiles with protein carne asada. It was a 2 out of 10 in flavor. Chilaquiles had no flavor tasked canned rice was dry beans ok. Meet was nothing to write home about. The chilaquiles plate was poorly served. Not enough for the price . Recommendation: fire the cook . No flavor . Do not recommend the place not worth the wait . I will give them a chance and try them again in 6 months to see if they have there act together read more

Very disappointed. My family decided to try this place to celebrate my grandmas 94th birthday. We made reservations as there were going to be 12 of us. When we arrived to our reservation they informed us there would be a wait and showed us the table we would be seated at currently had customers there. The customers appeared to not have even ordered their food! We were offered the outdoor patio instead but since it was 90 degrees outside, it is unsafe for my 94 year old grandma. We waited 20 minutes at which point an employee came out to state the wait would be longer. When we stated we would be leaving, the employee apologized stating this was "out of their control".
