    Chilaquiles con huevo and bistec
    Paola M.

Listen I had no clue this spot was there and I am so glad i found it. Wasn't sure of what to eat so I looked through yelp and found this hidden gem. The service was amazing so welcoming so attentive. Their cafe de olla was perfect. I had their chilaquiles con huevo and bistec. It comes with beans and it had some lettuce I'm assuming side of salad but I mixed it all together and it was delicious! They do give you chips and salsa and let me tell you that salsa was deliciousssss!! The place isn't huge but it's perfect and cozy. They have plenty of other stuff on their menu I just decided to start with chilaquiles and I have no regrets.

The absolute best Café de la hoya I've had... EVER!!

The food was delicious And, oh I loved the café de la hoya!! It's a small place. But very comfortable. And the service was great. The owners even offered us bisqoti with our coffee. That was a nice touch.

This place is cozy, welcoming and delish. I went today with my family and it was delicious. Food is generous and absolutely delish. The owners (I assume) are welcoming and kind. Definitely will be back! Bien Provecho

I had read the reviews and had seen the pictures of this place and had been meaning to try it for a while! The food did not disappoint as it was flavorful and vibrant. The agua de jamaica was delicious and not overly sweet and sugary. The service was a bit slow, but I'm going to be sure to come back and try some other menu items. Overall a good experience and the decor inside was nice! Parking sucks, so you may have to park off site a bit.

Finally made it back to this side of town and stopped by SCNHP and this rain weather got me thinking of a home cooked meal and decided to go with the (Chicken Flautas) with rice and beans Ps: ask for the green enchilada sauce and drown the flautas

A nice little restaurant for some really good Mexican food. I had the fish tacos. My hubby had the carne Asada plate and the kids rice and beans plus quesadillas. Not bad for a quick Friday meal. My favorite thing was their Agua De Pepino & Limon. You must try it. It's delicious!

I wouldn't recommend this place. On a Sunday afternoon, they were out of coke, Sprite, and horchata. No soups...Pozole, menudo, or cosido de res, and they were out of frijoles. What no frijoles, seriously...?? The waiter brings out the chips and salsa, and the chips are burned.... they showed no respect towards me and my family. If you care for your business, why bring food out like that.... we got up and left..... I wouldn't go to this place even if the food was free..

The food was terrible. It was very salty. I will NOT not recommend it this place. Posole was terrible. The Chilaquiles were very salty.

Out of the appetizers, the sprouts was the one that surprised me the most. The bacon and seasoning complement the baked Brussels sprouts perfectly. The calamari was whatever, I felt it was too battery for my personal liking but my friend loved it. The oysters were smaller than what I usually get from other restaurant but it still hit the spot. The entree was amazing and the jambalaya has quite a kick to it even when I ordered it at medium heat. There was plenty of shrimp, mussels, sausages, and protein in the pasta and rice dish. Parking in the plaza was atrocious because it is a busy plaza with a gym and other amazing restaurants and quick bites. Can't wait to stop by again.

The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

We were seated right away when we arrived, although it took a while before anyone came to take our order. We started with the sizzling razor clams, and honestly, they were the highlight of the meal, perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and a great start. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and it really missed the mark. Several ingredients felt poorly prepared. The tendon was so tough it was basically inedible and had to be pushed aside. The pork blood tasted like it had been cooked separately since it had none of the broth flavor soaked into it. Even the beef slices felt out of place, almost like they had been pulled from a pho bowl and dropped into the BBH at the last minute. The broth itself lacked the richness, spice, and strong lemongrass flavor that normally makes Bun Bo Hue stand out. It just tasted flat. There was also a mix-up with our order when the wrong dish came out instead of the lobster. When the lobster finally arrived, it was badly overcooked and much smaller than what was shown on the menu. On top of that, the music was blasting the entire time, no one really checked in to see how things were going, and it took multiple attempts just to get our check. When we mentioned the food issues, the response was basically, "We'll let the chef know." Not exactly the kind of service you hope for after a disappointing meal. Really wanted to like this place, especially after such a strong start with the razor clams, but overall it ended up being a letdown.

We ended up getting a set for $168 this time, which came with 6 dishes. It's also $35 per lb for lobster, and I asked for the smallest one. Apparently, the smallest one was 4.8 lbs, which was another $168, so I'm not sure if they upsold me. Anyways, the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.
