We happened to come upon this place by accident and came over because there was a line where we were headed. The place was EMPTY and the reason for the 3 stars is because while the server saw us from the parking lot and saw and heard us come in she did NOT come to where we were to welcome us or to ask is we wanted to dine in or take out..... We asked 2 times if they were open and finally after the 2nd ask were we told to take a seat wherever we wanted. Overall Service: SLOW but pleasant once we were seated. FOOD Chips - Cold, hard and bland Salsa - Tasty NOT hot and spicy Food Temperature: Warm Carne Asada - Tasty but tough meat DID not look like the menu photo, no avocado Rice - Good Camarones Al La Diabla - Tasty, spicy and really good Note: We were told the order would be about 15 minutes which was fine by us and while we thought it would be HOT, it was only warm. Overall Food: The taste was really good only thing is the carne Asada needed to be a little tender and not so tough and the meal itself should've been hit. Still good and would come back fir take out ti heat at home. PS I would call in my order so it'll be ready for pick up rather than wait. COST They have the best prices for what you are served, reasonable for sure. AMBIANCE This place is OLD and the furniture shows it so while nothing spectacular it's places like this that usually have the best food!! read more

Wow...what a find! Easy parking, spacious, great service, great prices, great food, large portions. I don't know if the chips were made on site and the salsa was average to my taste. Large menu, including a page of seafood items. Great $5.99 lunch specials 'til 3:00 p.m. I had three freshly-made cheese enchiladas with delicious green sauce and rice and beans. Personally, I wish there was a bit more cheese melt in the middle of the enchiladas, but no big deal. Dad got five(1) Al Pastor street tacos with rice and beans, again for $5.99. Couldn't finish. Reasonable beer prices- just $3.50 for Mexican beers. Definitely returning when in the area. read more

Great Experience! had them catered for my sons birthday party. Very good food. The cook Angel was great, he managed to go above and beyond with the service and creating a memorable experience. sorry don't get what all the hype is about. we went into try this as we were in the area, but I was highly disappointed, maybe their catering (taco cart) service is better, but our restaurant experience was displeasing. the waitress took a long time to come out and greet us, none of the salsas were hot, my shrimp taco had literally TWO shrimp pieces, and was way overcooked, the fish in the fish taco was also overcooked, I didn't even eat that at ALL because it was so unappealing. the white sauce for both the shrimp taco and fish taco was merely regular old american sour cream with NOTHING added, how hard would it be to squeeze a little lime and put a dash of cumin & hot sauce in it? at LEAST ATTEMPT to make some sort of a Baja style sauce for the seafood tacos. tacos El nazo here I come the asada tacos were all fatty & greasy. the only good- I liked the pastor taco & my son liked his kids meal, but he likes ANYTHING edible so that's not saying much. the prices were not as listed, they were higher, and when she came to ask us of we were done, I showed her my yelp check in & asked if she'd apply the 15% discount. she said ok. my bill was still nearly $30 for some tacos that we couldn't even eat because they sucked. I asked if she did the yelp 15% discount she said yes, so I asked to see the actual breakdown of the bill so I could tell yelp readers how much each item REALLY is (not what it says on the pics on here). I've had Tacos Cocos cater various events for me. I've been an event planner in the past, and have always been involved with events. Tacos cocos was inexpensive for 300-500 dollars we've fed anywhere from 75 to 165 people. I liked them, the make tacos, hand them out, the end. You need to be clear what time you plan on serving the tacos because there is a cooking time and set up time. They are good for a backyard party, for small events, really casual stuff. I wouldn't hire them to cater anything wedding related, just like you wouldn't do a taco truck for anything formal. Really love coming to place when I want to eat somewhere quiet. The food is great, pricing is great, ambient is decent. My only problem is that the food takes a little longer than I'd like for it to come out bu i let it slide because there's an unlimited amount of chips and salsa to entertain you while you wait. We hired them to cater our sons birthday party at a park for 100+ people. Was a very good experience overall. Was definitely worried as we never hired a taco vendor before. Food was really good.
