So Columbus has only a few Vietnamese restaurants. When moving here I quickly became patterned to going to the same places.. buckeye pho being the one I always went back to even though it's 30 minutes away and it isn't the same place I fell in love with..I can now say I have a new love closer to home. GC Pho opened two months ago and I regret not coming sooner. You can tell their food is made with love and time. It feels homemade and the people who own and run the place show their customers as much love as they do the food. The broth in the pho was made with a good balance while the meet and ingredients were fresh and prepared correctly. The Banh Mi was a home comfort food and had the right amount of cold cuts and other ingredients. All the rest spring rolls, dumplings, etc. we're all very delicious as well. After writing all that.. I'm hungry again. Maybe I should have waited to write this after I left the restaurant. read more

Used to visit this place while getting maintenance for my car at a dealership nearby. Became a favorite place due to good quality and reasonable prices, but recently (summer 2023) the prices went up by 10+% and the portions of food have gotten smaller by at least 10%. Pho in nature is not an expensive product, but for GC Pho, it has. I am pretty sure their business will continue, as it is one of the few Asian restaurants in that part of Columbus, but I will not be returning anymore. For Pho, if you can drive a bit further, just go to Buckeyes. read more

Recently, I dined at GC Pho with my boyfriend. I don't typically take him to places like this because he has a palate of a toddler. The usual chicken nugget and cheeseburger guy. I got Pho dac biet, and it was amazing. Pack full of flavors, fresh, and definitely didn't skimp on the toppings. My boyfriend got bun thit nuong. This dish consists of vermicelli noodles, veggies, herbs, grilled meats, and fish sauce. Also, I added an extra crispy egg roll. It was his first time trying this dish. He was very hesitant to try it at first. "I'm glad I tried it. It was delicious, " he said. He cleaned the bowl. Surprisingly, with veggies and all. He was new to fish sauce and used the entire container of it. Said, "It gave a great flavor." We even got sandwiches to go for lunch for the next day. I got a cold cut, and he got chicken, another great choice. GC pho was spacious, and the owner kept asking us to move to the bigger table to be more comfortable. But we insisted on a smaller one to be more romantic. At the end, we got some flan. Such a great touch to the end of the meal. We will be back! Thanks GC for your wonderful hospitality. read more

THAT WAS AWESOME!!! First time here. Got the GC Pho Secial #5, the Just Noodles #12, a Char Grilled Pork Báhn Mì #25, and a Cold Cut Combination #24. The broth alone is worth the stop. My sister took the first sip, looked at me and said "We WILL be going back tomorrow. " She was right. That broth. You could smell the star anise and ginger. They packaged it very nicely to take home too. Báhn Mì was packed. Great flavor on the Grilled Pork but watch out if you don't like hot stuff, they put jalapeños on the sandwiches. But it's actually really good and the heat doesn't last long. Could not get to the Cold Cut Combo we were full!! Tomorrow's lunch!! Noodles and extras packaged separately. It's so nice to have a pho option on the south side of Columbus. We live in Circleville so we're used to driving a bit for Vietnamese but this is only about 35 mins away! We ate crispy pork and shrimp rolls, dumplings and three different pho soups. The dumplings were thinly wrapped which was amazing with tender filling. The crispy rolls had lots of filling and were very, very hot (temperature). Pho Ga is a standby for my daughter. I had GC Pho Special #5 with beef balls, brisket and NY strip. My husband had brisket with extra beef ball. The servings were healthy and came with bean sprouts, lime, Thai basil, and thinly sliced jalapeño. My husband missed the mint but I loaded up on the basil - personal preference. The restaurant was very clean and service staff was very attentive. We'll be back. read more

We split an order of the spring rolls (delish), each got our own pho that we thoroughly enjoyed, and then halved a charred pork bahn-mi. That sandwich was soooooo goooood! Originally I wasn't very impressed with the pho here. It wasn't very flavorful and a bit oily. A few days ago I gave it another shot. My family and I ordered the brisket and steak pho as well as some banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls, and Vietnamese black coffee with milk. All of the food was exponentially better than when I had previously tried it! I will say the brisket was better than the steak pho and the steak bahn mi I preferred over the pork. Surprisingly the banh mi was my favorite, I was never very into them before but they are so good here I've been converted. The soup broth was so well made I saved it to drink the next day! The coffee was also very strong, which is exactly what I want from good vietnamese coffee. And the only thing with the spring rolls was that they were wrapped in clear wrap which hilariously caused my dad to bite and chew plastic. Other than that they were tasty! Since my other go to pho places have really fallen in quality I'm happy I tried GC Pho again! Our meal was delicious and filling and fresh. This place is now our family favorite go to read more

The gui cuon was pretty good, would have been much better with fish sauce rather than the store-bought peanut. The dumplings were hard as rocks, like they had been prepped in the microwave twice. That was a shame cause I was really looking forward to them. This is disappointing because ling ling's from the freezer section are much better. All the food came out relatively quickly, however I've finished all of my food and I'm still sitting here waiting on my iced coffee that I ordered first.The banh-mi sandwich is pretty good, but not impressive. It's merely sliced spam with some lettuce, pickle, and viet-mayo. I asked for my coffee and they brought it immediately. The coffee was pretty good, but taste more like a Starbucks drink than an authentic Vietnamese coffee. I will give them credit for using the correct French beans and condensed milk. Making a good Vietnamese iced coffee is not easy. The services were very good and the workers were remarkably friendly. In fact, the service was the most notable aspect of my first experience. Overall I enjoyed the food and it was definitely a more flavorful option than other quick sit-down restaurants nearby. Next time I will definitely try the pho, One of the workers said the number 5 was his favorite so I look forward to that. This was a good dining experience. It was not tremendous. I would definitely come back here and I would recommend this place to my friends. Next time I will try the dumplings again and give them the benefit of the doubt. Honestly the best pho I've ever had in Columbus. The broth is full of flavor and aromatic while also being really light as is tradition. I've only ever had better pho in Washington, DC (a lemongrass pho) but this is the second best I've EVER had. Beats what I formerly thought was the best pho in Columbus from Tai's Asian Bistro and Lan Viet. Can't wait to go back. The interior is humble and the portions are huge. Loved it. Had pho takeout and egg rolls. The egg rolls were amazing. Crisp and very tasty. The pho comes in a big soup container, and then everything else is packaged (fresh) in another container, so you can add as much or as little of jalapeños, bean sprouts, etc as you want. It's a lot of food, so I had 3 lunches from it. (The 2 egg rolls were gone before lunch the first day. ) Sadly, I went just before they closed for a family vacation. I was in town for a soccer tournament and was looking for some Asian food. There were lots of options when I pulled up Yelp, and I chose Grove City Pho. The inside is small, but cozy. I was able to talk with my daughter and not feel cramped. Then the food came out. My first reaction was, "Holy Pho!" The bowl was huge. The aroma was enough to make me want to just dive straight in, but because it was fresh, I had to be patient while it cooled down. As hard as that was, I waited, and when I took my first bite, it was as good as I had hoped. I ate as much as I could and still had plenty for the next day. My daughter got the fried rice and that too was a huge portion. There was a great seasoning on the rice which gave it a unique, but delicious, almost curry flavor. Again, plenty of leftovers for the next day. With all that food, the bill was just the opposite. Very reasonably priced. I'm coming back here if I make it back to Grove City. read more
