A few things. I have been here three times in the last 2 weeks and after this time tonight, I won't be returning. First off, the little chick behind the counter needs to learn some customer service skills. She is addicted to her phone and doesn't make eye contact when giving me my food. She never said thanks or have a good day. I had to say thanks first! I've always gotten the rare beef pho. For some reason, they par boil the beef so it's not actually rare. It's fully cooked each time I ask for it. The limes they give are dried out and don't have any juice in them. They do not give cilantro as a garnish to their pho, which I think is strange, I have to always ask for it. Tonight, the beef was almost all fat and would not break down while eating it. I had to spit each piece out. I really hope the manager sees this and takes notes to make better changes. read more

I ordered the rare steak pho and the traditional banh mi. Pricing wise, it's reasonable. The pho was a lot! Tons of noodles. It took me a couple days to finish the soup. It's pretty good. Maybe not as flavorful as other broths I've had but not bad! They gave a lot of bean sprouts and basil. The banh mi is definitely one of the better options in town. A good amount of meat. It wasn't the most flavorful, but it's got all the toppings. I'd order it again. I do want to try some of the other items on the menu, so I'll be back! read more

Great, authentic food at a price point no one in the area can beat. Friendly service and a clean restaurant was the cherry on top.

Ordered pho and bahn mi for pickup via their clover website. We asked for extra sauce and extra green onions and they did not include them. This was even after asking them during pick up. The same thing happened with the chopsticks and utensils. They said it was in the bag while we were in the restaurant but when we got home it was not in there. The banh mi bread was burnt but they still served it to us (see pictures). The sandwiches were really small as well for $7 each. Overall, really disappointed and would not recommend. Taking the place of a much loved Afghan restaurant, this is a worthy replacement. Tucked away behind CVS and beside a tire place. It's a small space, but bright and comfy. Wide selection of pho, banh mi, vermicelli dishes, bubble tea, etc. I just got a Coke, but it was served in a bubble tea type glass with a foil top. Kind of neat. I also had lemongrass pho while there. A little spicy, brisket and shank I think for the meats, good noodles, fresh veggies. Good broth, although not as rich as some other places, but still enjoyable. Perfect on a cool gray day. I also had spring rolls, which were big and very fresh and springy. To-go for lunch at work later I got a char sue banh mi, and some vermicelli. Both traveled well. The bread for the bánh mì held up, there was a ton of tender tasty meat, fresh veggies, and they all made a compact, tasty whole. The vermicelli noodles were good, and there was a nice small chopped up eggroll, with more fresh veggies and a little sauce on the side. Good hot or cold. Good service. Good food all around. Pho Thanh is an amazing find. They serve some of the best Vietnamese cooking we've ever eaten in Central Ohio. We love the pho, summer rolls, and various rice dishes. Have yet to try the Bahn Mi sandwiches but hope to so soon. read more

New pho place in Hilliard which I am pumped about! As a fellow Vietnamese gal myself, I definitely have to try out a new Vietnamese restaurant. There's plenty of parking outside and the inside is small and quaint. It looks clean and I love the decorations. There is only one person taking orders and bringing out the orders. I believe he's part owner and was super nice, The food is higher priced than usual for Vietnamese food though. We ordered some bubble tea smoothies, 2 bun bo hue, a pho dac biet, and a rice vermicelli with egg roll and pork dish. Let me tell you now that my Vietnamese mother approves of the flavors of each dish so that tells you a lot!! I thought the flavors were amazing. Happy to welcome a pho place to Hilliard! The restaurant is new and sparkling with plenty of seating and plenty of parking. The menu is a little limited, but the waiter said they are working on expanding it, including adding a kids menu. This wasn't my favorite pho in Columbus, the broth was good but rather sweet, the noodles were cooked perfectly, the flank steak was overdone - think eating a slice of roast beef not a thinly sliced rare steak. The portion was small, I've become accustomed to leaving after a bowl of pho happily close to bursting, but the portion size here left me still hungry. Not a huge deal, but the restaurant does charge 50 cents for water, I wish they would have told us, but again not a break the bank kind of cost. I admit it. I'm a Pho snob. In my travels I like to go around and try the different pho at a variety of places. Let me say that this was some of the best I have had. Very generous portions and a ton of noodles. Small out of the way location. The inside was clean and the service was prompt. Price was very reasonable. 5 Stars all the way. After seeing a very compelling picture of the Bun Bo Hue it became imperative for a few friends and I to try Pho Thanh. The ambiance is a little fish-bowly, it's a brightly lit glass front with casual cafe style seating. Interior was clean, service was friendly and attentive, and the dance music playing was pretty entertaining. I had the Pho Dac Biet and Bun Bo Hue, both of which had wonderfully flavorful broths. First note: just a couple leaves of basil were provided, which is a signal to me that patrons are likely not Vietnamese. I would say that the meat portions were good but not necessarily generous. The pho did not have any tendons, and just one little bit of tripe (to cater to white palates?). The Bun Bo Hue did not have a blood cube, which is fine because I'm a little creeped out by them. Again, I'm thinking the menu caters to the clientele- nothing wrong with that I 'spose. Another interesting feature: our water came in sealed plastic boba cups with individually wrapped straws. We drove 20mins to get dinner and we love this place! My favorite is Pork with rice (I ordered extra pork), my husband favorite is Banh Mi but he was too hungry to order only a Banh Mi and he did not regret to get Pho! My husband love Banh Mi so much and he said this is the best Banh Mi in Ohio, same as the one he had long time ago in Seattle! We went to so many Banh Mi places, a lot of them more like American Sandwich. So if you like Banh Mi too, please come and try some, their chilli oil also great! Beside the typical Pho, Vermicelli Noodles, and Broken Rice dishes, they have a couples interesting Appetizers. On the weekend, they also offer Seafood Boil as well. On the Broken Rice dishes, I especially like the Fried Tofu Skin Wrap. Inside the wrap, it filled with shrimp paste and pair well with the crispy tofu skin. read more

I'm so excited to have a pho spot near home!! First impressions: Solid broth flavor, plenty of toppings (including large bottles of sriracha and hoisin), and a small but cozy dining area. Did not love the egg rolls, but I don't like anything fishy and I was not expecting the fried egg rolls to be fishy so I'm going to be more critical than others on that item. Service: efficient and friendly. We were late diners (which I try to avoid but we really wanted to try this place) and he was still very pleasant. High marks for that. New place!! No sign yet. Covid 19 all precautions taken. We went in for lunch. Full service little place. Great menu items and the food is so fresh and spicy the way we love it. I had the Banh Mi sandwich. Comes a la carte but filling and so yummy. My friends had the Pho Bo soup. Check them out on Facebook for more menu items. Decently priced the service was awesome. Definitely will be back. One thing I hope they add a container or a way to get water when needed because its just the one man and maybe one chef. Visited pho Thanh first time today. Ambience is clean and modern. Small and cozy sit down area. Menus clearly designed to make ordering easy. Ordered the Guo Coun (sp?) - fresh spring rolls. They were on point. The only suggestion would be for a slightly larger dipping sauce (but that's me I like sauce heavy). My wife got the vermicelli noodle dish with spring rolls, and some grilled meats. It was very good (I am the garbage disposal for her). I got the large Bun Bo Hue and it too was very good. I believe Pho Thanh is very consistent with the Vietnamese foods I've gotten used to eating in the Metro Detroit area. Prices were fair. I felt like I got what i paid for. As for service, it was nothing special but what one would expect. Order taken, drinks brought, appetizers brought, main courses, refills on drinks, etc. Owner was very nice and complimentary when I shared my thoughts that his restaurant's food was good. I am not a food snob by any means. I just enjoy well made and flavored food and not all the nuisances that some influencers might carp on. Visited this place for lunch, ordered the combination Pho and it was just OK. A lot of noodles and very little meat to the point where I don't know what the combination was. Broth tested like noodle water and chicken based, not even close to the quality of Pho Chef in Dublin. The service was OK, not even a smile from the cashier which didn't make me feel welcome. They had a great selection of foods as well as yummy smoothies. The portions were very generous and the pho tasted really good. They had an array of sauces on the table for dipping meats or adding spices to your soup which was awesome. Prices are a little higher here without any perceived benefit in terms of quality, quantity, or ingredients. I ordered the grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli for $13. The grilled pork had a really nice char flavor, but some of the pieces were either pure fat or more than 50% fat and I personally just dislike the texture and the idea of eating straight up pieces of fat. The vermicelli came with daikon/pickled carrot mix, lettuce, a few small pieces of bean sprouts/cucumbers, and nuoc cham fish sauce. It was missing fresh lime, mint, and peanuts that other restaurants have added that have really elevated this dish. Hubs got a grilled pork banh mi, which he really enjoyed given that it cost only ~$7. He was still hungry after eating it all so keep that in mind and consider ordering something else to make it a full meal. I'd consider coming back if I was in the area again, but if I'm craving Vietnamese, there are other places I would go to first. read more
