I was referred by OR Logic because my Dell laptop screen went dark. I called and left a message and here is a shocker....they never called me back. So I called Dell direct and had the screen replaced for $260 which included shipping and diagnostics. Don't think I would have gotten a better deal. First off, what a relief to finally have help from experts who know what they are doing! I had previously had government techs and Verizon look at the problem and they could not diagnose it. Then after finding Geek ABC on the internet, they came out immediately, diagnosed the problem within the first hour, ordered the parts, and then fixed it by the next visit. The part they get right on top of their expertise is their customer service; they were able to explain the problem in lame-man terms and provide recommendations to follow up with in case anything else comes up. They even volunteered to help me in my dealings with Verizon in acquiring an upgrade on my internet. EDIT: To clarify, I am not saying they aren't capable of fixing your computer - I am sure they can based on other reviews. Instead, I am mentioning that they may resort to more expensive methods compared to other stores. Whether it's because they are unaware of more efficient methods or if they are trying to squeeze in extra money is up to you to decide Summary: -Simple problem was not fixed after a week of waiting -Limited communication as to why there was a delay (I, the client, had to contact THEM to get updated instead of the other way around) -Was falsely told keyboard needed to be replaced; another repair shop fixed it without replacement -Rival shop fixed in two hours whereas GeekABC could not fix it after an entire week (*I am purposefully calling it a rival shop to show that I am not being sponsored/writing a fake review) Review: I came here on Monday about a simple problem: my touchpad was not working and my J key was broken. I simply needed both to be fixed. Once I presented the problem, I was told it would take about three days to repair because there were three computers being serviced prior to mine. I was also told that my entire laptop's keyboard would need to be replaced. I was fine with that. The reviews here were very promising and I looked forward to getting serviced here. Three days went by without any call, so I called them instead. I was told they are reaching out to their vendor to find the replacement parts. I was a bit disappointed to hear this, but understood there was nothing they could do about it. Two days later, I call again. They mention they are still trying to contact the vendor. At this point, Im a bit frustrated, but I brush it off expecting it to be ready by the following week. One day later, I finally got a call from them, and Im pretty excited to have my computer again. Unfortunately, the call was bad news. I was told their vendor did not have the parts for my computer and they gave me back my computer unfixed. I was highly frustrated, but figured that it wasn't their fault and was more of the fault of the vendor's. So, I immediately go to another store to get it fixed. Lo' and behold, that rival store fixed my problem within TWO HOURS. I did not need my entire keyboard replaced (which would have cost extra) and it was fixed within TWO HOURS. I expected to wait another week, but was so surprised at how quickly it was resolved. Originally, I had no hard feelings against Geek ABC and was a bit more frustrated with their vendor. But after going to the new store, it made me question the expertise of the repairmen of GeekABC considering they told me it was "necessary" for my keyboard to get replaced when it really wasn't. I should have figured that in advanced considering my issue was fairly minor. I would not recommend going here despite the other raving reviews. read more

EDIT: I was contacted by GeekABC's Andy Carlucci­o, who politely offered an explanation on their policies, my laptop and offered to not only repair my computer but offered the service for half of the original price, and had an associate pick up my computer, and drop it off after the repairs were completed. I deeply appreciate Andy reaching out to me to correct my problems, and to Kam for making the repairs, pick up and drop off. They have also assured me that it is okay to contact them if I needed assistance for anything else. Thank you, Andy and Kam. 5/5 stars for their excellent customer service, accomodations and new repairs. ORIGINAL: Had a screen fixed for my notebook, they ordered the part for $100 but upon looking online I coule have gotten it for much cheaper myself. Not only that, but no more than four weeks later after picking up my notebook, the new screen broke again, apparently due to pressing on the back of the computer, which as far as I know, I haven't done. I've handled my computer the same as always and take proper care of it. I brought it back to have it checked out, possibky replaced or even a partial refund would have been nice. Instead I was told that the warranty didn't cover the damage done, and I would have to pay for the service all over again. I kindly declined and said I would think on it, but it's very unlikely that I will be going back anytime soon. The service was okay, they weren't exactly conversational or warm, but this experience left a bitter impression and a negative review. read more

My computer needed repair and the vendor told me that it would be $100.00 to run a diagnostic (even though I knew what was wrong) and 3-4 weeks repair time. Working from home this was not going to work. I was excited to find this place online, when I dropped my computer off on a Monday I was told 3-4 business days to fix (I thought this was kind of long considering the issue and the fact I could have ordered the parts myself on Amazon and had next day delivery). But it sounded a lot better then the 3-4 weeks the vendor quoted me. It took over 2 weeks to fix my computer and no one never called me to let me know that my computer had been fix I had to call to inquire. When I take my computer to get repaired I normally backup my files and wipe my system clean, however I didn't do this since I was told 3-4 days repair time. During the two and half weeks that the computer was out of my hands my data was compromise so I am not sure how secure their network is. Geek ABC had a coupon on Yelp that said "check-in and show this at checkout to receive 10% off" I checked in and showed the cashier and I was told I needed to purchase the deal, I told him that it's a coupon there is nothing to purchase. We went back and forth until I decided 10% was not worth it. Tips: If this is your last and only option wipe you machine clean and pay in cash not credit card for your protection! read more

I brought in my iMac that was running slow and the front screen was extremely cracked from a fall a while ago. My old computer was running very slow, a lot slower then usual. I took it to Geek ABC and they were able to help. It turns out, my computer was heavily infected by viruses and my RAM was insufficient. They installed 4 GB of RAM where I used to have 1.5 GB and they also removed all viruses from my computer. My computer now runs faster than when I bought it! It starts faster and it's overall a better experience using it.
