I don't know how to even write this review. The worst day of my life, having to call them. But they were caring and compassionate with the situation. Dr. Gonzalez checked my baby out to make sure I was making the right decision. I was so scared I wasn't. She explained to me what was happening to my girl and how it would be getting worse. It was really hard because my dog looked okay but had a big ball of cancer that had returned in her lungs and started having long horrible seizures. She wasn't old or looked infirm, she looked fine but with a bomb inside of her. I knew I couldn't let her suffer. My dog took awhile for the meds to kick in to calm her and they were patient and explained the reason why. When she finally did, she passed peacefully. They didn't push me to hurry up and say goodbye. They were kind and empathic. Furthermore, they arranged all the after care. I went and picked her up at their office a week later. They were understanding and gave me a private place to sit and cry when given the remains. I highly recommend Gemcore and Dr. Gonzales. read more

We had to put our 16.5-year-old baby, Betty, to sleep on 4/27/2024 when her heart condition advanced to the point that she was suffering and we were out of medical options. My baby girl, Rocky was euthanized on June 28. We did an at-home euthanasia where she was able to transition at the comfort of her home, with her family surrounded by her. We had pushed the appointment back for June 29, but my baby could no longer hold on. That night was very hard for me. Her health declined rapidly that night and luckily, there was an appointment available at 11PM. Dr. Gonzalez came to our home and she was very compassionate. The process was very fast and just like that, my dog was gone. Dr. Gonzalez shaved off some of her fur in the areas we chose for the glass vial we purchased. It was a lot of fur that was shaved off and we only received a small amount back. If there was remaining fur that didn't fit inside the glass vial, i wish we had received it back as well. After the euthanasia process was done, Dr. Gonzalez stepped away and gave us a few minutes with her. She then came back in and wrapped her in a blanket and gave us the option to carry her out and of course we did. We were then instructed to place her in the back of the car, in the trunk. While the trunk was not a separate compartment of its own, i thought that she would be placed on Dr. Gonzalez lap because she is not a big dog. When discussing the process with her over the phone, we were told that small pets would be placed on her lap. They do outsource a separate cremation place. My opinions on that place is a separate story on its own. On monday June 8th, i called the office to see if my baby's ashes have arrived at the office. I was told that she would not be there until thursday June 11. Thursday comes around and i did not receive a call so i called them and they told me she had arrived back at the office and that i can come pick her up. I wished that they had called me first instead of me having to call them and ask about my dogs ashes. I understand people make mistakes. Whenever i would call the office regarding my dog, Rocky, they would sometimes refer to her as a male. Granted, Rocky sounds like a boyish name, but i would expect them to have a little respect and check the forms to see whether she was a male or female. Maybe i'm just grieving, but it did rub me the wrong way. read more

Dr. Gonzalez was wonderful. She came to our home a few weeks ago, to do an in-home euthanasia, on the same day we called. She was very understanding, compassionate, and very thoroughly explained the process to us, before she started. We were a wreck and still felt comfortable with her presence, as we could see, feel and hear her heart for these sweet creatures that are our pets. We never felt rushed, always felt very aware of how our little kiddo Audrey (cat) might be feeling at any stage. She reassured us that Audrey would be feeling no pain, but could still hear us talking to her, which was huge--to know our little girl could sense our presence up until it was time to 'transition'. We also felt there was such a respect for death and what may be beyond it. Perhaps the most touching part of the whole process, was she asked if we wanted to carry her down to the vehicle ourselves after she very sweetly swaddled Audrey in a beautiful blanket. At the back of the SUV was a lovely soft larger blanket that I laid her down on. We were able to have one more moment with her, which we were both so grateful for. It was very ceremonial. Our beloved family dog passed away last week. We were desperately combing through sites trying to find a vet that would come to the house to euthanize him because we could see the end was near and didn't want him to suffer. We were absolutely devastated and Dr Gonzalez was the loveliest, kindest, and most sensitive vet I've ever seen. She gently spoke to our dog even though he was no longer alive, called him Sweet Pea, and handled him with so much kindness and dignity. She carefully wrapped him up in a blanket, gently moved him into a sling, and carried his 70 lb body downstairs and into the vehicle. She carefully laid him on a dog bed, and tucked a satin blanket around him. My family was heartbroken and crying, and I will be forever grateful to Dr Gonzalez for being so respectful and kind to both our dog and our family. We picked up his cremains two weeks later and were in tears again. They had carefully stored his cremains in an elegant wood box with his name engraved on it, a heart shaped lock, and two tiny keys. They had clipped some of his fur with all of his beautiful colors and put it in a little glass jar with a cork stopper, heart tag, and paw-print charm. We also got a beautiful cream colored stone paw-print engraved with his name and a little gold stand to hold it up. The whole thing was wrapped in white netting with ribbon and included a poem and handwritten sympathy card. Nobody is ever prepared to lose a pet, and I will never forget the kindness of Dr Gonzalez in our darkest hour. read more

First off, if you are reading this, I am sorry for what you are going through because anyone searching for this kind of vet is in a place of heartbreak. Dr. Gonzales was very kind and compassionate and had a soft easy way about her voice and mannerisms that were so gentle when we were having to say goodbye to my kitty Bear who was at the end of his fight against bladder cancer. I had an odd request - for her to leave his body with us for a few hours and come back later for it - which she absolutely accommodated and didn't judge - because I really wanted our other cats (who were hiding) and our dogs (whom we set in a diff zone of the house while she was here) to have some time to sniff and see Bear and get their own closure. I know it was important for them and it is helping them get through their grief. Nothing was happy about the day we had Dr. Gonazles come over, but she was gentle and kept Bear calm and it was a peaceful crossing to the rainbow bridge. I would absolutely use her again though I hope to not see her for a very long time for obvious reasons. Bear's ashes arrived days later and they were hand-delivered (the person would not just drop them at the doorstep or patio and made sure someone physically was there, which I appreciated) and Dr. Gonzales had included a lovely pawprint of Bear's paw which we hadn't ordered, but was a nice memory of him. She was professional, on time and compassionate. I highly recommend her and I thank her for taking on such a hard job.
