Scam!!!! No shrimp, No prime rib, and no beef tongue.

Scam!!!! No shrimp, No prime rib, and no beef tongue. When you look on the menu, the only thing available is pork, or calamari THATS IT!!! So if you're a swine eater then this place is for you, but if you appreciate quality for the price you pay, then go somewhere else and feel better. Service was great after I called them out and tried to get a discount. Also the ambience is very fun with neon lights, fun music and a pleasantly bright staff.

Came back on a Sunday and experience was better than the first. Nick our server who had more than enough tables to handle still managed to give us great service. He repeatedly checked on us and gave us good recommendations on the meat choices. Surprisingly we didn't smell like smoked barbecue after out meal. So if the service continues to be at least the same level as Nick's, Gen Korean might see me and my friends on a regular basis. Nick definitely made our meal memorable on a good note than my first visit.

First time dining at Gen korean bbq house however been to countless of Korean bbq places and I think this kinda gears towards younger generation and more Americanized korean. Most guests are non Asian. The side dishes are ok and up to par. The meat we ordered was kalbi, pork bugolgi, cheese corn, shrimp, squid, beef intestines, Hawaiian beef tongue, and sauces My overall critique is 4 stars for the marinated meat and flavoring. 3.5 stars for the level of authentic Korean. 3 stars for service not because they're bad but mostly because it's a bit on the slow side. It lacks the traditional flare to Korean bbq house because there wasn't even salad and the white steam rice that we got wasn't Korean rice. Overall, the experience was decent for people that are well seasoned with Korean bbqs However it was a good experience for those that are newer to Korean bbq cultures. Definitely do come and try. It's still good and fun!

Ambiance of this place is spot on! It's beautiful and calm. We went on a Sunday and at first they weren't too busy and then got a small rush. Seemed a little short staff but our server did a great job and you couldn't tell. She went over the menu and explained how Korean bbq works since we were new to it. The options were great and everything we had was delicious. The coconut margarita was amazing! I don't think I would take my son who hardly eats again but it was definitely an experience.

We really enjoy this restaurant. The menu has so many options to choose from. We love to start off with appetizers and then move to meat. We add the mixed vegetables and sometimes the salad. The bulgogi is our favorite meat of choice here. There's something about it that tastes so good. I love the variety of sauces that they give you when you sit down as well as what comes with the appetizers. Hint: Keep the sauces that come with the appetizers to use with your meat. The music playing is upbeat. The volume is perfect...not too loud. We recently went on Christmas Eve. I understand it was a holiday, however, they seemed like they were short staff. The waitress was not attentive. We had to ask for salad three times to actually get it. We had empty water glasses for quite a while. We were waiting a lot to order refills. It hasn't been like this the past times that we've been here. Usually the staff is a lot more attentive.

This place used to be hit or miss for me so I was holding off on giving my most up to date review. However, I think they are a solid KBBQ option on this side of town. Service varies from being super on top of it, to forgetting meats and needing to ask multiple times. One thing I've noticed is that I've only ever been seated at a working vent once. Some booths don't even seem to have them. I wish it was more the the norm because having the fans help SO MUCH with the after dinner scents. The meats are pretty consistent in all my visits. Sometimes the portions between meats will vary when I try different things but the actual cuts remain the same in my experience. My absolute favorite is the wine marinated pork belly! So delicious! I also love the variety of apps available. The katsu is my favorite. The best value is their $20 weekday lunch menu if you can make it. The dinner pricing for non- premium is okay at $32.

I came to this one as they have same in California, so I wanted to try them here in Florida , they sest us very fast but then it took some time to get our server , then we finally got orden taken , we waited like 25 min for raw meet to get to our table , so looks kind it a lot especially I'm the one cooking out , then they mess on the order and wait time again , place is nice , and very cozy but service was really not to standards, but food is great , especially AYCE meats .... But definitely I have to be in a good mood to come here again ...

Came in for some Korean BBQ--and wow, what an experience! I stopped by around lunch time and it was pretty empty, so no wait time at all. From the moment I sat down, my server was super helpful and explained everything clearly, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Big shoutout for the excellent service! The ambiance was great--clean, modern, and spacious, with a fun vibe that made the meal even better. There were tons of marinated meats to choose from, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and flavor in each bite. If you've never been before--go hungry and be ready for a feast you won't forget!

This new to the Waterford area Korean bbq is a great addition. I've gone a few times since they have opened a couple months ago. The restaurant is dimly lit, with blue lights surrounding it all, with minimalistic decorations inside glass cases. The service the times that we have gone have been slower than other Korean bbqs that I have gone in the area. However, the presentation and quality of the food and meats are better. My husband loves the food here more than other places. To me, it was pretty on par as others. Our servers that we have had have been friendly, just slow to get the food out to us. The food variety is pretty decent. They have a huge cocktail menu, mainly drinks on the sweeter side. Honestly, they have been pretty great experiences. There isn't really anything that separates Gen to others around town, but we will travel to east Orlando to dine here since my husband loves it.

My girlfriend and I went on a Thursday night and it was mostly empty. There are so many options to choose from and it can be a little overwhelming but the servers here are very knowledgeable and are more than happy to steer you in the right direction. The food was reasonably priced (considering how many options there are) and tasted really good. I would come back again!

Before I go back to California I have to try the GEN here. Pretty much the menu over was the same but they upgraded them with more cocktails which is amazing!! Food tastes the same back in Cali, my friends was first time trying this place so I recommend some good meats. They love it! I got Capri soju it's so good!! My friend got the party bowl, it doesn't taste much alcohol but he loves it. That's all that matters. Great food feels like I'm back home! Our server did amazing I didn't get his name. But she made sure we're okay and joke around us, good sense of humor! He knows all about the menu and gave us a lot of information. The place is amazing, clean and not much people on Wednesday dinner service which is good meats came out fast. Great experience!

Actually downloaded yelp just so I could review this place. Our server Victor was amazing, food was great and environment was perfect. Came into Orlando to treat our UCF student first time here and now we plan to make it a regular everytime were in town.

I decided to give this place another try and I can definitely say this time was leagues better than the first. I went on a Sunday evening and luckily it wasn't super busy so there was no wait time. I forgot the server's name but he was great, very attentive and checked up on our table frequently for orders and refills. Our table got the premium option and there was so many meat option to choose from. My favorites were the wagyu and marinated short rib! I also really liked their appetizers, of them my favorite is the rice cake. I'm glad I got the opportunity to try this place again after the first experience, hopefully dining there will continue to be good moving forward!

For the buns the pork was realllyy stiff and hard to eat and I wasn't able to eat much of it. The buns were good just a bit soggy and cold. Sadly I was expecting it to be better quality since I ordered at the counter and waited so I figured they would be fresh hot when I got my bag. Overall the corndog and sausages were yummy I just with they were warmer and idk about the bao buns very interesting, I definitely want to try again with a different meat tho.

The 5X Spicy chicken was pretty spicy and the sauce was good. The chicken was a mixed bag though, some was tender and some was tough. Same with the Tokyo chicken. It was packed over the rice, so if you like your rice plain for leftovers, maybe order a side. The sides available are not your typical asian sides. We tried the cucumber salad (good with nice spice), glass noodles, tomato and egg, and the cabbage. They were OK, but nothing earth shattering. The cucumber salad is cold, and when packed with the rest of the piping hot food, was actually kind of gross. Warm Cucumbers? No thanks. I guess the most telling part was the leftovers in the fridge. They sat until garbage night as they just seemed unappealing to eat again, which isn't typical of leftover asian food in the fridge. They have some other items that look appealing, so it may be worth another try.
