This bakery is one of the greatest. It's so fun going in here and seeing all the fun cookies and cakes. I usually come in here and get a cheese strudel. They are absolutely huge and decent priced. I used to love this bakery until today. My husband brought home an early valentine's day surprise, chocolate covered strawberries. The black and white cake with chocolate pudding and moist vanilla cake is delicious, but my ultimate fave is the hazelnut cake which is like a Ferraro Rocher made into a cake. It's strange but I haven't experienced the great things that other Yelpers have. I come here occasionally because there aren't any other bakeries nearby but I would say this place is completely just average. Really nothing to talk about. I mean there are TONS of better bakeries in the area. You just have to drive a little bit farther. I mean Calandra's which is in Caldwell is much better. Calandra's has it's tiramisu cake that's famous (although overpriced due to its popularity). Given it's averageness, I would have given it 3 stars but I had to knock it 1 star due to its service. It's really really bad. They end up hiring these recently graduated girls who have zero work ethic and zero work experience. They make you wait as they chatter among themselves or check their phone messages. They get exasperated at you if you ask for prices when nothing is priced in the store. Usually, I ignore bad service but it's bad enough here that it gets me steaming sometimes. read more

Whoever said this is the place for tiramisu is sadly mistaken!!! I've never felt so let down by yelp reviews :-( I ordered a tiramisu cake for my boyfriend's birthday because he's a certified tiramisu addict. First, when I go to pick up the cake I pay and they hand me the box...I've never been to a bakery that didn't open the box and let me see what the cake looks like before making me pay and leave. Good thing I insisted she open the box because it looked like a drunk person wrote Happy Birthday on the cake. The letters were not centered and there was a huge empty, awkward space on the right side of the cake. I was NOT happy!! I asked the employee if they could add balloons or some type of decoration (not flowers because it's a man's cake) on the side of the cake and she says she will see what she can do. She comes out and says the baker's no longer in and they don't have balloons but they have roses. As I look into the case of desserts I see pastries with chocolate shavings and decorations on them and inquire if she has anything like that and she says no. At this point I'm on the verge of tears I'm so upset and pissed off. An older lady comes over to see what's wrong, I tell her and then she says we can put balloons in the empty space and chocolate shavings around the side....I'm sorry was I speaking a foreign language to the previous girl...isn't that what I asked for!!! *fuming* They come out and show me the balloons they have and I pick the ones I like, they add it on to the cake along with the chocolate shavings. I take my cake and leave. Come the night we have the cake...the cake was moist, tasted good but tasted NOTHING like tiramisu, my boyfriend was not happy. Never again at this place, there's too many bakeries in Jersey to not get a tiramisu cake right. read more

I love their personal little hazelnut chocolate pastery, it's my personal favorite. Perfect blend of hazelnut and chocolate moose with little hazelnut crunch around... Yummm Their red velvet cake is also delicious. They have big cake for many people n a small personal size cupcake, it's perfect when u just wanna surprise your boo or a friend with something they love. They also breads, pastas, paste sauce etc... Their Cookies are out of thia world. Soft, buttery. They are like a littlw drops from heaven that melts in your mouth. I am not evem joking try it yourself. Everytime i take them to anyone events i get asked to bring them over and over again. My ex-bf loved the ones with jelly inside them... My personal favorite are the black and white big cookie and some biscotties. Well I can keep going and going about this place because it's just awesome. You just have to try them out. Great prices and great cannolis. Even when they're crowded, you don't seem to wait too long as they have quite a few staff behind the counter. Careful with the parking lot, you can get trapped in there its so tight. Better to park on the street.
