He came back and did the work. three years later, the furnace died, (not Falcon's fault), and an electrician came out to check the work of the company replacing it. He told me the outlet was the wrong kind and would not pass an inspection. They had to fix it so it would pass when the furnace was inspected. Not so cool.

That alone cost $289 (didn't even include the smoke detector as I received a replacement from Kidde). Took 15-20 min. Turned out I had another faulty smoke detector. They offered to replace + install it for basically an additional $289. That's ridiculously expensive. Mr Electric quoted me $80/hr (+ offered that info to me without me asking). Falcon Electric did not offer me a quote but they did fit me in same day. Lesson learned.

With our fridge and freezer completely stuffed for the holiday, panic set in immediately. After another company canceled on us last minute and the LG website trapped us in an automated loop with no human help, we called True North. That is when our luck finally changed. Jonathan is an absolute legend. Not only did he squeeze us into his schedule at the end of a very long Friday, but the level of care he showed was unmatched. He drove to Portland to pick up the specific motor fan we needed, battled brutal Friday evening traffic, and still showed up at our door at 7:00 PM to get us up and running. Beyond just the repair, he actually coached us over the phone throughout the day--telling us how to rig up a temporary fan on the condenser to prevent the unit from burning out (which saved us a massive repair bill) and ensuring we didn't lose any of our holiday food. Note: Sending a copy of the error report and product label helped him make the diagnosis off site. ProTech was the electrical contractor on our new home build. We had frustrations from the beginning…read morewith poor planning and lack of knowledge about the spec'd fixtures and electrical equipment. There was continued staff turnover at ProTech with little oversight or on-site management which resulted in many errors. As problems and questions arose, we were repeatedly asked to solve them for ProTech - even basic questions about fixture install that we're spec'd at the beginning of the project. We spent countless hours researching and resolving issues for ProTech to try and keep things moving forward. Issues continued throughout the project and included lighting configuration mistakes, missed circuits and inconsistent wiring through the house as it was installed by different crews. It was so difficult to get things done, we eventually gave up and removed some items to simplify scope given the lack of knowledge. Quality issues such as damaged wiring and missing circuits were only discovered after the walls were closed making troubleshooting and repair very expensive. ProTech abandoned the project after billing us 80% which resulted in us spending tens of thousands more than our original contract with another contractor to fix ProTech's mistakes and finish the project. In my opinion, with so many quality electricians in the area, I wouldn't risk hiring ProTech for anything other than the most basic tasks.
