a drink in a bowl with a straw
    Asia A.

My meal and drink were delicious! However, I can't imagine coming back here again. This place was absolutely disgusting. I had trouble finding ANYTHING that was clean. Everything was totally gross, and this made sense because there were only 2 servers working in the entire restaurant. The floors, the seating, the countertops, the bowls for guests, the sauce cups, everything needed to be cleaned. Nope. Never again.

Did the create your bowl, Genghis is an amazing place but this location has gone down hill. Asked for fried rice got white (small amount at that), the chef had an attitude and the service was extremely slow. My girlfriend also had shrimp in her bowl and she didn't put it in her bowl or request it. The one in Franklin is 10x better. I would recommend going there if it's your first time.

Place looked dirty and smelled like wet dog. Took forever for the waitress to come over to take our order. Food was ok. Would not recommend coming here.

I've only been here twice but I've had nothing but good experiences both times! I love that you have complete control over every meat, fruit, veggie, spice, and sauce that goes into your bowl. The possibilities and flavor combinations are endless and delicious! There are also different options depending on what diet you eat (keto, vegetarian, paleo, etc.). Our service was great both times and everyone was friendly and helpful. My whole family left full and happy with plenty of leftovers.

I love Genghis Grill! I know many people don't, but I love the fact that I can walk in, grab a bowl, and load it high with meat and veggies, pick my sauces and noodles, and BAM -- they bring me a great meal exactly like I want it with great flavor

This was our first time going to Genghis Grill and it was horrible. The place was deserted, which was the first red flag. The waiter showed us to our table and handed us menus. We tried to start a conversation with him and told him this was our first visit. We thought he would offer some insights on food, ordering process, No, we had to drag information out and could barely understand him because he looked down most of the time and mumbled. Second red flag. After being misinformed on how to order or select our food from the bar we finally received our food. My granddaughters picked food from the bar and received mostly noodles - barely any toppings in sight. The food my daughter and I ordered was so burnt the rice was inedible in my teriyaki chicken bowl and the chicken was dry and tasteless. My daughter ordered the Drunken noodle bowl and it was also burnt, with only about 5 or 6 noodles! The small bowls we received were only about 1/4 full, not like the pictures posted with rice and noodles with great looking toppings. Not worth the price! We told the waiter that our food was inedible and the "manager" said he would take 20% off our $86 ticket! I advised the "manager" I would not be paying for the inedible food we received, that I would pay for the remainder of the meals, 2 small bowls for my granddaughters - which was mainly over cooked noodles, which they did not finish, egg rolls, pot stickers and drinks. The manager finally took the 2 meals off and was not personable at ALL! Did not apologize! While we were there someone's to go order sat on the counter uncovered for a good while. We asked what size that was and the girl behind the counter replied that it was a small - which was 4 times the food we had received for our meal. I hope the person that ordered that pick up had a much better experience with their food that had been sitting on the counter uncovered. This was our first and last trip to Genghis Grill. We had heard good things and wanted to try it out since we were in Murfreesboro. Sadly we left and ate elsewhere!

Always a pleasurable lunch here. The food and service is excellent and the prices aren't bad. A great place to grab a quick lunch.

Great concept and as you choose all the ingredients it is hard to get a dish you won't like. Staff was polite and helpful.

We ordered the green bean salad, fried meatballs, Firecracker Shrimp, 505 fried chicken skins, and chicken Pad Thai, along with a green Thai tea. The green bean salad at level 3 spice was perfect--just the right amount of heat with a fresh, crunchy texture that made every bite enjoyable. The Firecracker Shrimp definitely lived up to its name with a nice kick, while the fried meatballs were cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside, soft with a pleasant chew on the inside. Both paired wonderfully with the sweet chili sauce served alongside them. The 505 fried chicken skins were another standout. They had the perfect crunch and the seasoning added just enough spice to keep you reaching for another piece. To cool things down, I ordered the green Thai tea, which was sweet, refreshing, and the perfect complement to all the spicy dishes. The chicken Pad Thai is always a favorite. The noodles have that perfect chewy texture, and the portion size is generous enough to enjoy for a second meal later. Our server was Jaylin and she was ate five and came by to check in to make sure we didn't need anything! The cafe has a laid back atmosphere. Sabaidee Cafe continues to be one of my go-to spots for consistently delicious food, generous portions, and great flavors. Highly recommend!

We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. I highly recommend trying this place out!

After returning last night with my girlfriend and her four-year-old daughter, I can confidently say the experience was completely different. We were greeted and seated immediately, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. When my girlfriend mentioned that her drink was a little too sweet, our server quickly offered to replace it with something else. They also brought toys for her daughter, which was a thoughtful touch and made her feel welcome. The food was amazing. The wings were some of the best I've had, and the lo mein, bulgogi and fried rice were all excellent. Throughout our meal, several people who I assume were managers stopped by to make sure everything was going well. I was genuinely impressed by the level of service. There are fine-dining restaurants in Nashville where you don't receive this much attention or hospitality. Hawkers completely changed my opinion, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Now... if only I could remember where I am staying. LOL. Just kidding! I made it. I got so lit in Japanese whiskey flights that I ordered enough food for two people. The "Flight to Tokyo" lived up to its namesake tremendously. That dang whiskey is wicked man. Combined with the beers that go down like water and you may be like me.... Wasted Soup dumplings are so damn cool. It's also either an engineering marvel or some sort of biblical miracle. How is the soup born inside the little dumpling?? So many questions!! I had some here and they were sure tasty!! I also had some killer crispy fried pork belly and some kick ass twice fried Korean wings!! Pork belly had tremendous umami flavors and was sticky sweet and yummy all at once! Loved it! But then came the Star.... I love chicken wings as much as I love life! That my friend, is a whole fucking lot!! I am more full of myself than you could possibly imagine. I loved these particular chicken wings a little more than life. I walked through downtown Nashville alone, on a random weeknight, just to eat these wings because I saw them on Yelp. I had already eaten dinner at Eddie V's earlier in the evening, but these wings called me from more than a mile away... Come eat me, Adam.... Is all I could hear after I saw others pictures of the wings.... Shhhh. Wings. I can't. But you must, said the wings.... I can't, I have no transportation....
