Genghis grill in Rockwall Texas . Receipt of what I paid for this horrible food

Food, service . The managerial staff?disgusting!! I ordered a bowl for $20.92 . It was burnt , staff admitted chef was burning a lot of food . Called to speak to manager offered to return food for a refund was told he didn't have the ability to refund . He said GM would call , GM never called . I was in the neighborhood stopped by with receipt hand spoke to Rick who said was not able to refund because I used my debit card. No refund , horrible food and a delusional staff !!

Yummm. Very tasty. I fill my bowl as big as I can because unfortunately this place is expensive!!! Service was good. He was attentive and nice. Place is clean. Wasn't busy when I went today on Tuesday at 11:30am.

My partner and I decided to try Genghis Grill in Rockwall for a 12 o'clock lunch. Spoiler alert: it was quite the adventure. Food: - Chicken Lo Mein (medium size) - Build-Your-Own Bowl (regular size) Walking in, I thought we'd be greeted by the culinary equivalent of a mall food court. Surprise! We were met by a hostess and led to a half-booth. Fancy, right? You place your drink and food order with a waitress, then head over to the build-your-own food station. It's like playing restaurant, but you're paying adult prices. The place was nearly empty--maybe three other customers, tops. Super casual, but also super overpriced. Seriously, you can get the same type and quality of food at the mall for half the price. It seems like they're charging extra for the "restaurant" feel, complete with a hostess desk and waitstaff, which I could easily do without. We were seated directly in front of the do-it-yourself area. They hand you tiny silver bowls to fill up at the station. Beware: there was raw chicken lounging on the counter. Pro tip: do not place your bowl directly on the counter unless you want an unplanned stomach workout. After the meat section, you move on to the seasonings, veggies, and sauces. Once your bowl is overflowing, you bring it to the counter where the chef grills your masterpiece. The Chicken Lo Mein was tasty but had a sneaky spicy kick. If you're spice-averse, make sure to tell them. The menu forgot to mention this little detail. The manager apologized and said there should be a pepper icon on the menu. She apologized again and had it remade with no spice. For the Build-Your-Own Bowl, I went with steak, chicken, baby corn, water chestnuts, broccoli, white rice, and onions with General Tso sauce. It was good and made with fresh ingredients. All in all, Genghis Grill serves decent food, but the price tag doesn't justify choosing it over the mall's budget-friendly options. The managers attention made up for the pricing.

Medium bowl with chicken, ham, sausage and pepperoni and veggies!

The food is delicious and the service was amazing! We started with the potstickers and the hummus. They did not disappoint. I love being able to pick out everything that goes into my bowl, the protein, the veggies, the sauce, and if I want rice, noodles, and or cabbage. Spoiler alert I got all 3 in my large bowl. I got the shrimp, chicken, steak, carne asada, tons of zucchini and squash, and tons of teriyaki sauce. I seasoned with garlic and steak seasoning. I added two eggs to my bowl. And yes as it was my birthday we got dessert!

    Goodness!

Fantastic food and service. Great experience overall. Can't wait to come back and try a different food combination.

Regular size make my own ham fried rice with fixings.

The service started off very good and was very good throughout our lunch. The food was very good and tasted outstanding. We don't go to Rockwall without eating here.

I like this variety of meat

I started with the garlic edamame, Kani salad, and gyoza. The gyoza are pan fried perfectly! Some places fry them too hard or deep fry them. The kani salad is a mix of shredded cucumber, spicy crab mix with spicy mayo, and roe. I ordered the Angry Dragon roll and the Rockwall roll. The Rockwall roll is sweet with coconut shrimp wrapped, topped with spicy crab mix and coconut sauce. It's delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and intimate. Darker in the dining room with table lamps. You're not looking around the room at everyone, but more focused on just your party. I will definitely be returning to Basil Cafe more often! Can't wait to try more sushi! Thanks again Annika for a great experience!

Overall, the food was solid with a few standout items. The spicy tuna roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The ramen was also quite good and comforting. The hibachi steak, however, was a bit of a surprise. The steak was cooked exactly to the temperature I requested, but it (along with the vegetables) arrived slightly cold, which took away from the experience. The fried rice also lacked a bit of seasoning and could have used a little more flavor. While this wasn't a bad dining experience by any means, I'm still on the search for that standout spot in the area that truly checks all the boxes. That said, there are definitely some dishes here worth coming back for.

Because of this, the only ramen I could try was the vegetable ramen, which was okay... The dumplings were somehow a little undercooked while falling apart, and the broth needed vigorous seasoning. Definitely not the worst ramen I've had but by far not the best, either. The Tokyo hot deviled eggs were pretty good, but they were out of everything else I wanted to order so my review is stuck to what I could try.

We had been wanting to try Rumdoul for a while, so it felt like a double treat! Before we even walked through the doors, we were hit with the most incredible aromas coming from the restaurant. It immediately made us excited to eat. Once inside, we were greeted with warm smiles by Leona, who was absolutely adorable and incredibly attentive to everyone dining there. We also had the pleasure of talking with Mr. B, who shared his vision for the restaurant and how he wants it to be different. You can genuinely feel the love, pride, and passion he has poured into this place--not only in the atmosphere but in every bite of food. Following some of his recommendations, we started with the chicken gyoza. They were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the tofu yellow curry at spice level 4. Let me tell you--it was SPICY! But it was also absolutely delicious. I can't wait to order it again, although there are so many other menu items I want to try too. Jason ordered the chicken Pad Thai. He's extremely picky about noodle texture and thickness, and he devoured every single bite. He ordered spice level 3, which was almost too much for him, but that didn't stop him from cleaning his plate! Of course, we had to finish with the mango sticky rice, which was my favorite part of the meal. I poured every drop of that sweet coconut sauce over the rice and mango, and there wasn't a trace left on the plate. We even used the extra sauce from the gyoza in our dishes because everything was just that good. There's a reason Rumdoul is sitting close to a 5-star rating. The food is incredible, the service is wonderful, and the passion behind the restaurant shines through in every detail. We will absolutely be back--and as soon as our little man arrives, we'll be adding sushi to our order too! Giving Rumdoul 5's with zero hesitation.

You pay about the same amount at any other restaurant, but you receive a bigger portion at Stir Fry Chef than anywhere else. The Supreme Fried Rice tasted good. It had everything I wanted: chicken, shrimp, and eggs. My only complaint is that it wasn't stir-fried well because only parts of the rice were fried while the others were not. The Pad Thai Bowl with Shrimp and Egg was probably the best plate out of the two. The noodles weren't soggy, but it was juicy. It was tasty and delicious -- even thinking about it now makes me drool.
