Gengis Khan is located in the food court of the Great Mall. It's made-to-order Mongolian stir fry. What I love about this restaurant is the cafeteria style set up. You to create your perfect meal by selecting from a variety of fresh ingredients. You pay a flat fee. What ever you can fit in your bowl (w/o noodles) goes onto the grill. Tofu, chicken, turkey, pork and beef. There are tons of vegetables choices as well. At the end of the line there sits the large circular grill where you watch skilled chefs cook your food. Not only do you get a custom meal, you get a cooking show. My food was amazing as always.

FOOD : Great food and flavors. Not much that can go wrong with plan veggies and noodles. SERVICE: I'm a vegetarian and asked the team to clean the surface before they cook my noodles and vegetables and they were very through with the cleaning even though they were super busy. Great service. AMBIANCE: It's inside the food court of the mall so technically no direct ambience for the store. But then the overall ambience of the food court is great since they upgraded the food court a few years ago in great mall. VERDIT : I would say a good try for the experience.

Best Mongolian bbq ever. The selection to the way it's cooked is top tier and you get a big portion.

The ube chicken and waffles and the Dino banh mi dip were delicious! Any of their sauces were packed with flavor. The interior had a romantic vibe to it. The portions are generous, and every dish we ordered came out looking just as good as it tasted. From the tacos and grilled meats to the noodles, bánh mì, and chicken and waffles, everything was packed with flavor. Even the drinks tasted great, although I wish they used a little less ice since they were gone after just a few sips. The only downside was the wait. The restaurant is pretty small, so it's understandable that it gets busy, but be prepared to wait during peak hours. Once we were seated, our drinks took a really long time to come out, and that was probably the most frustrating part of the experience. The service wasn't bad, but it could definitely be more attentive, especially when the restaurant is full. Overall, the food made up for the wait, and I'd still come back. The quality, variety, and portion sizes are worth it. If they can improve the drink wait times and make the service a little more efficient, this place would easily be one of my favorites. Definitely worth checking out if you're craving Vietnamese food with plenty of options.

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

We ordered:…read more Chicken noodle soup Dai style seafood 2 sugar cane juices, one with ice and one without ice Chilli honey chicken with potatoes Laksa shrimp fried rice Fried chicken with tom yum sauce We loved the sugar cane juices. The one without ice still came cold and was about $2.50 more in price. Both tasted similar and the one with ice wasn't diluted at all. Both were refreshing and we loved the flavor. It was very authentic and refreshing. Chicken noodle soup was amazing! I don't know about the 8 hour boiled chicken since it tasted like chicken breast broth and not bone broth but it was super delicious. The noodles were slimy and it was very comforting. No chili oil was provided on the table. The server spilled some broth on our table while carrying a hot bowl of soup. I recommend asking the servers to use a serving plate to bring over food to the customer's table. Spicy chicken with honey and potatoes- We've tried this dish at many different restaurants, mostly without potato chips and we didn't like it here. Some pieces of chicken were bland and others absorbed most flavors. The honey did not help the dish at all. There was no balance of flavors. I did not like the addition of packaged wavy potato chips into the dish. Dai style seafood- This dish was very disappointing. It was served cold which was the highlight of the dish but nothing tasted fresh. This dish took the most time to come out. The dressing tasted well made, it was sweet and savory but the seafood hadn't absorbed the dressing. There were mussels, clams, squid and calamari in it and the balance of flavors was out of proportion. Laksa shrimp fried rice- Good wok hey, chewy mushroom bits and little pineapple bits but shrimp was very hard to find. The addition of egg was nice. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce- Nicely fried very tiny pieces of chicken with 1 tsp of tangy sauce. Good dish. Nothing extraordinary. I would come back for the chicken noodle soup on a cold night!

I loveeeee getting the tom yum here, & I don't think other malatang places offer tom yum. In general, the tom yum flavor is fire. i would say the amount of chili oil they add is inconsistent. there's times i've gotten alot of oil and times with less. my partner also found the beef bone broth was too oily for his liking and thought tom yum was way better. The tom yum has a nice tang from the lemon and theres slight creaminess to the broth. my friend thinks they add peanut sauce to the broth. it is also not too spicy, which is nice. I dont live near this place but it is worth the drive! I like the wide variety of ingredients and the chewy potato noodles. The price is based on weight, although one thing I noticed is that they don't seem to zero out the scale before weighing your bowl. After you pay, the staff assigns you a table and brings your finished bowl to you. The food is consistently satisfying. There aren't many dipping sauces to choose from, but I don't think that's an issue since the broths are already packed with flavor. I always order the Signature Beef Bone Broth. It's rich and creamy without feeling heavy, and it's flavorful without being overly salty. My only real complaint is the dining area. While there are plenty of tables, everything is packed very close together, making the space feel cramped. You're practically dining with the people next to you because you can hear every conversation around you.
