Quiet, simple mom and pop shop with classical music playing overhead. We were looking for some Chinese food or soup in the area, and it hit the spot. The menu is simple with noodle soups, dry noodles, and 5 types of dumplings which he said they have been experimenting with (fish, beef, pork, chicken/shrimp, tomato/egg). The fish dumplings were the only ones that came in a half order (6 instead of 12) so we ordered those. I was expecting a fish fillet texture but they were more like a tuna salad texture. You have to order from a QR code at the table. As a nice surprise, they provided a free appetizer dish of fresh oranges, cherry tomatoes, and grapes while we waited for our food. For our spicy beef soup, we choose rice noodles, and they were slippery but good. It was hard to tell the size from the menu photos, so we shared one soup though the portion seems more of an individual serving size in retrospect. Was excited to try out a new noodle place. The inside was very mom and pop shop. Decor were paper lanterns and some posters on the walls. There was only one other party before we got there and they sat at a large table in the middle of the small space. We were seated at a booth and were immediately told to be careful when we sat down because the bench is already worn down with the smallest amount of cushion left. But the person working there still urged us to sit down. We just avoided sitting on the soft spot. Order is by QR code and was pretty easy to order off multiple phones. We got fish dumplings, pork and fennel dumplings, beef noodles, chicken noodles, scallion pancakes, cucumber salad. The fish dumpling had a weird mushy taste, the pork and fennel dumpling used dried fennel and it was strong. The chicken noodles were ok, like can based stock with some oil added back in but the chicken leg in the dish was good. The beef noodles had a really good texture noodles and the broth tasted oddly like pizza. The cucumber salad was also just ok, drenched in oil and white wine vinegar. The scallion pancakes which was an appetizer came out last such that we were basically done and ready to pay and forgotten about it. Our table was given dumpling sauce dishes and were told they were the bowls to eat out of. Imagine Dixie cup size. And when we asked for bigger bowls like a rice bowl so we can share other items, we were asked why would we need more bowls. The table in the middle had bowls. Maybe cleaning more bowls was too much work. It was the same person who seated us, took our order, served the food, and he probably cooked too. Cleanliness was a concern for us while we were eating and saw him clean the table and then went and got our other dishes. There was only one other person in the kitchen that we were aware of because the person would yell for pick up. Overall, it was not a very good experience with the questionable cleanliness, problematic seats, and off putting flavors and textures. read more

Theres another sour fish noodle soup I usually go to in Fremont, but it was closed on Tuesday so I decided to try this place since their 'popular' item was a tomato sour soup fish dish. Disappointing is an understatement. When the dish came out, there was a scent of fishiness to the dish, almost like when you left your store-bought fish fillets out for a little too long. Made me sick a little. I tasted the fish and confirmed it came from them. The broth wasn't hot enough, and the soup was mid at best. I let the fish fillets cooked for a little longer in the broth and the scent went away, but hopefully I dont get a tummy ache after writing this review. Wouldn't recommend. Wow this place is really good. We got the beef soup noodles and the dry beef noodles, plus a fried scallion ring. All of them were amazing. The owner told us they brew the soup for 7 hours, and the end result tastes soo good. They gave us some fresh fruit for free while we waited, and even that was really good.
