Chesapeake omelet and home fries !!
    Nicardi C.

First time at this restaurant in a really long time. I was pleased with the ambiance, service and food. The roasted Brussels sprouts were absolutely delicious. Especially the carmalized sauce.... very pleasing to the palate !! I also had the Chesapeake omelet and the ratio of crab meat to Swiss cheese was perfect. I will definitely be returning to try more deliciousness.

This place has THE BEST espresso martinis in the area! My husband and I stopped in last Saturday afternoon. We ordered the smash burger and the chicken sandwich to split. We devoured the smash burger - sooooo good. The chicken sandwich was just okay.

I met my gf here for Happy hour. We arrived at 4pm & the bar was already full. We were offered seating in front of the grill fire. We checked out the menu for Happy hour. It wasn't to impressive. They only offered two red wines and one white wine which was all dry. So I opted for one of my favorite drinks that wasn't on the Happy Hour menu. Which was the Expresso Martini. Omggg that was the best one I've ever had before!! Top of the line and I enjoyed every drop. I ordered the chicken egg rolls off the Happy hour menu. Also was very good. I just wish the Happy Hour drink menu offered more selections. The funny thing is we actually went to the wrong restaurant. I was wondering why the Happy hour menu had changed from what I saw on the website. Overall I was satisfied with my choices and the waiter was efficient. So I will give it 3.5 stars.

We came for dinner. It was super busy but we were seated right away. We had beat salad, Caesar salad, crab cakes, crab and spinach dip and cheeseburger. Crab cakes and dip were great. There were a lot of beets in the beet salad, a little too much for me Everything tasted good. Service was kind of slow because they had a few big parties. Decoration was festive.

This is our second visit and it was just as good! Love that they switch up their specials so there's something new to try. We got the ribeye and the ravioli this time and both were delicious. Oh and the cream of crab soup!! So good. The service and their cocktails (especially the old fashioned) is always on point.

We visited this location on Friday January 24, 2025 at 4:40 pm. Excellent dining experience. We love the decor of the dining room. The owners didn't overdo it with watered down lavish props and lighting. I enjoy LIGHT when I am eating because I want to see what's on my plate. The dining room is spotlessly clean. The restrooms are sparkling and well stocked. Kudos to the staff. There's nothing worse than a dirty, funky restroom to kill your experience. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Everyone is smiling and happy to answer your questions. The food was very well seasoned, served hot and came out in a timely manner. We had the Gorgonzola bread, crab balls, and cream of crab soup as appetizers. All three were excellent. I kinda think that the sherry cream was a little overbearing in the crab soup but that is totally subjective. I would order it again. I recommend the Slow Braised Short Ribs! Very juicy and flavored to my liking. My wife had the Blackened chicken Alfredo and she loved it. I highly recommend this location.

The food was very tasty along with a side of mash potatoes. The ambiance was nice and relaxed. There were a couple of hiccups during our visit, but the manager quickly addressed our concern. I appreciated that.

Staying at the hotel attached to this place so I decided to grab a quick breakfast and boy was that a big mistake! What a travesty to the pig with the bacon they served me, it is not edible, the egg taste microwaved the only glimmer of taste was the breakfast potato's service was fine and the restaurant is spacious but they should probably stick to lunch and dinner items which I won't stick around for. Looked like a they had a nice full bar.

The customer service was great even when one of the dishes; pork chop chutney wasn't pleasing. They made the adjustment and the dish was more satisfying. The bolognese was plentiful and good. Just add a little salt and pepper and wallah. Lastly, the stuffed chicken and potatoes were delicious and tender. Oh forgot , the cream of crab was delicious too!

I think this restaurant has a lot of potential. Service is always great and they always have a great energy. It's a nice restaurant. The food just always lacks seasoning/ flavor for me. There is always something that needs to be added. This was the case for the salmon, the pasta and short rib hash. However the garlic broccoli had a great flavor. We enjoyed the food just after the addition of seasoning/ salt and pepper .

The Wife, our 2yr old & I visited George Martin's Grillfire bc we were staying in the hotel attached to the restaurant - The Arundel Preserve. Our waitress Mya was really nice, and when we asked her suggestions she gave us two: the Steak strips appetizer & my entree, and they both were a hit. Mya can be trusted. 10/10. There was literally no wait time & was seated really quickly even though the restaurant felt pretty busy & our food came out really fast.. 10/10. On to our meals... Our appetizer was the Steak Strips & man were they tender & flavorful. 9/10. My son got the Kids Mac & Cheese but the Wife & I had some too. 6/10. It wasn't bad by any stretch but it was a different variation of Mac & Cheese than what I am used to, but that's ok. It was still good. For Entrees the Wife got the days special, Australian Lamb chops w/ mash potatoes & broccoli & rated it a 10/10. I got the Braised BBQ Short rib w/ crispy onion straws on a bed of mash potatoes & man were those ribs tender & delicious. 10/10 For dessert, I got the Crème Brûlée & the Wife & kiddo split a dairy free, gluten free brownie that tasted like the regular version. 10/10. In closing, we had a really good time & the Mrs. Keeps raving about wanting to return.

    Chili Pop Shrimp Strawberry margarita
    Jewel B.

I recently treated myself to a delightful dining experience at George Martin's Grillfire and was thoroughly impressed. My evening began with the chili pop shrimp appetizer, which was cooked to perfection and offered a generous portion size that was just right for starting off the meal. For the main course, I indulged in the Thai chili salmon served with wild rice and broccoli. The salmon was a true standout, earning a well-deserved "chef's kiss" for its exquisite flavor and impeccable preparation. The wild rice and broccoli complemented the dish beautifully, rounding out a very satisfying entree. During my visit, I decided to try their strawberry margarita, and it was an excellent choice. The drink was refreshingly delightful, striking a perfect balance between sweet and tangy. The fresh strawberry flavor really shone through, complemented by just the right amount of lime and tequila. It was served in a stylish glass with a salted rim, the presentation was as appealing as the taste. It was the ideal companion to my meal, enhancing the flavors of both the appetizer and the entree. The strawberry margarita at George Martin's Grillfire is a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy a well-crafted cocktail in a vibrant setting. The service was generally good, meriting a 9/10 rating. The only slight drawback was a bit of a wait before my waiter attended to me, but once they did, the service was attentive and pleasant. Parking was exceptionally convenient, with a garage located right by the restaurant, making it easy to get in and out. As for the pricing, I found it to be reasonable, rating it a 10/10. Overall, George Martin's Grillfire provided a wonderful evening out with great food, solid service, and hassle-free parking. The restaurant exudes a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The decor is stylish and modern, creating a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort. The music selection was spot on, enhancing the overall vibe without overpowering the conversation. It provided a lively yet relaxed backdrop that perfectly complemented the dining experience. Whether you're on a solo date like I was or enjoying the company of friends, the ambiance at George Martin's Grillfire adds a special touch that elevates the entire evening. In addition George Martin's Grillfire not only delivers on great food and service but also offers an inviting and enjoyable environment, making it a top choice for a memorable dining experience.

Lobster & Shrimp Fettuccine without fettuccine
    Lindsay L.

I came here with three of my sisters and another guest for one of my sister's birthday. The appetizer was decent. The crab was okay with mediocre chips. I ordered the shrimp and lobster pasta with added broccoli. I initially thought the food was good until the lobster started to taste off. The lobster had a very bland taste and it gave a strong fishy aftertaste. Both my sisters and I took our orders back. I ordered the same thing but without the lobster. My other sister got disgusted because she ordered a bison burger but thought that was the name of the burger and not the meat itself. Both my sisters took their burgers back. One sister didn't order anything and the other had a replacement pasta which she eventually took back because she said the sauce tasted like Spaghetti O's. The manager came over and heard us out but she didn't take anything off our bill. My sister got a complimentary birthday dessert of two brownies with m&ms and four scoops of whipped cream. We had to ask for ice cream and the manager noted they only had vanilla. And that was the least they could have done. Ambiance is pretty nice at least, fireplace was a nice touch. Below average experience with meh customer service.

Service is always great. Free parking in attached garage where you can walk right into the inside of the restaurant. Recently came here for dinner on Father's Day, first time trying Kona ribeye (flavored so its sweeter), had mine done medium rare. Was juicy, not overly chewy, good flavor. Lot of marbling. Had to cut off some big chunks of fat, but other than that was great. Added mushrooms for a surcharge which was well worth it. Their steak I included a side so I opted for spinach risotto, delish. Husband had his Kona ribeye done medium and enjoyed it. Had the smoked old fashioned and the manhattan, both great- manhattan was very strong and didn't even finish it (rare for me) not a bad problem to have. For dessert tried the seasonal PB Oreo cheesecake which was delish. Very filling portions. Since we were the only ones in the restaurant, it wasn't a big deal. The staff was not rude, but they weren't friendly. It was more like indifference, from the hostess to the bartender to our waiter. The food was mostly good. There were five of us so we had a lot and a variety of dishes. We enjoyed the lamb chops and the charcuterie board, among others. My steak was delicious--perfectly seared and seasoned to perfection. The crème brûlée was delicious, but my son was served a cheesecake slice with mold on it. We were pretty disappointed overall for a meal that cost over $500 for 5 and was on a special day. We won't be going back and we won't be recommending them.

Side dishes had to be sent back because they were warm. Wine selection is large and varied. My old fashioned did not come with a large ice cube, so I reprimanded the server and he changed it out. Classy places serve them with a large ice cube! Service- Felt rushed. Maybe they didn't have enough servers. Ours could have been a bit more matured and experienced. Their smocks need to be whiter. See below for a laundry list of issues we experienced: -Before John left to put in our drink orders, I asked if the check could be split 3 ways because 2 of us were on a business trip and needed to have our own checks for expense reports. He said that wouldn't be a problem (spoiler alert, it was). -3 entrees included a salad that never showed up before the entrees did. Had to ask for them to be brought out. -John did not stop by our table for the rest of the meal after dropping off the salads until we were nearly done with our meals. When he did, he attempted to take my plate which clearly still had food on it and had to be told that I was not finished. -Zero refills because he never stopped at our table during our entire meal. I had to ask for a water refill and he never looked at anyone else's drinks and someone else in our party had to ask him for a refill on their drink when he returned with my water. -When taking dessert orders, John walked away before everyone was finished ordering because he ASSumed (but never asked) that 2 people were splitting a dessert despite being given no indication of this. I had to stop him and place my dessert order. -When he brought the check, it was not split. He completely incorrectly split the ordered items into 4 guests on one check. I went to the host's stand to ask for the manager. When he finally came out, he acted as if he was being bothered by us and not because of John's apathy and incompetence. The manager had no idea how to split the items so he had to find John do it on the computer while I HAD TO TELL HIM AGAIN WHAT ITEMS EACH CHECK WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE. HAPPILY left zero tip. Stay way from this dumpster fire of a location where the employees have piss poor attitudes due to the manager having a piss poor attitude.

Ruxton is elegant without feeling pretentious, and it's the kind of restaurant that actually complements dressing up for the occasion. Whether you're celebrating something special or simply want an upscale night out, the ambiance makes the experience feel worthwhile. For dinner, I ordered the whole lobster, and I honestly underestimated what I was getting. The presentation alone was impressive--it was served on a board nearly the size of a large wooden cutting board. At around $200, it's definitely a splurge, but after tasting it, I completely understood why. The lobster was cooked perfectly, incredibly fresh, and so good that I somehow managed to finish the entire thing. We also ordered the Lemon Butter Prawns, and they deserve just as much recognition. The lemon butter sauce was rich, bright, and unlike anything I've had before. Easily some of the best prawns I've ever eaten. We shared a side of broccoli, which was good, but with everything else on the table, it simply wasn't the star of the meal. My partner ordered the Fried Lobster with mashed potatoes, and they absolutely nailed it. The lobster was fried perfectly--crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside without tasting greasy. That's not an easy balance to achieve, but Ruxton pulled it off. The cocktails were just as memorable. I ordered the Shake & Bake, which I'd describe as a tequila take on an Old Fashioned, and it ended up being one of my favorite drinks from our entire Baltimore food tour. My partner's dirty martini was also well made. The service was exceptional throughout the evening. Our team was attentive, professional, and consistently checked in without ever being intrusive. They helped make an already special evening feel even more memorable. Ruxton absolutely lived up to the hype. While it's perfect for celebrating special occasions, the quality of the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere has me looking forward to coming back just to explore more of the menu. This is easily one of Baltimore's premier dining experiences.
