The restaurant was super cute the host were not super inviting but they did assist us. Our server was impeccable she was high energy, super knowledgeable, and just happy to be there helping us. The food was pretty good I did need to season my steak, but it was good. My drinks were great that strawberry mango mojito was great! I believe I had 4 of them. Overall good experience.

Perfect date night spot! The ambiance was nice and cozy. We sat in the bar area which was perfect because we could see the basketball game. Our waiter was so pleasant and he suggested get menu items. My steak salad was good and I had the best brussel sprouts! They were seasoned well and cooked just right! My margarita was so yummy. I had two.

I've visited this Ruth's Chris location multiple times, but revisited recently for the first time in a while. While it has the same delicious menu as other locations what sets this location apart is friendly service and (what I consider to be) the nicest interior decor of any Ruth's Chris in the DMV. Valet parking is complimentary here. It is a little weird to get to it, by turning through a small unpaved lot and then around to the front of the restaurant. But it's always timely. When we left the last time it was near closing time and the valet had all the cars up front so it was quick and safe for us to depart. Service is excellent with the wait staff friendly, chatty, and accommodating. You can never go wrong with any kind of steak (I got a filet Oscar), but the herb stuffed chicken breast is a hidden gem, if you're not a red meat person, like my dining companion is. We got delicious cocktails, appetizers, and dessert. The Carrot Cake was huge and enough for two people to share!

I've visited this Ruth's Chris location a few times. It has the same "classy chain" vibes as other Ruth's Chris locations. Parking is available in the back of the restaurant, so you have to walk a loop around the other stores on the block to reach the front entrance. My most recent visit was for my partner's birthday. He loves steak and was very excited to order a medium rare tomahawk steak for his birthday. Unfortunately, it came out well-done rather than medium rare. We pointed it out to the waitstaff, who apologized, took it back, and replaced it with a true medium-rare steak, but I'm very disappointed in the waste of food. It's very disheartening and wasteful that this nice cut of meat was thrown out due to being overcooked. Although the staff did replace our overcooked dish, I'm disappointed in the wastefulness caused by overcooking it in the first place.

This was my first time coming to this Ruth Chris in almost 5 years. The last time I was here, I was severely unimpressed, from the service to the food. I'm happy to report that this location is under new management, and everything just feels different. Our waitress Jesse was phenomenal. Just a breath of fresh air & positivity. We came for happy hour but ended up getting a table and ordering a bunch of things. The Oysters Rockefella had cream spinach in them, and were easily a 10/10. We also got a dozen raw oysters... another hit. Ahi Tuna... delicious. The Steak Sandwich entree and a steak salad and we were blown away. Everything was fresh, hot, cooked to perfection and really good. Add in our Espresso Martinis and it was a great day.

Our party of 2 arrived around 5:45 pm and had a good time at the bar for happy hour on a Tuesday night. It took a little bit for the bartender to initially attend to us, but we figured out the food and drink items we wanted and ordered it all at once just in case they were swamped. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I really liked my Steak sandwich and the garlic bernaise that came on it. The Seared ahi tuna was small in portion compared to the steak sandwich but also delicious. I would get that as an appetizer in the future. The Spicy shrimp was called that but do not hold back from ordering this if you do not like spicy food- it was very tame.

The food was excellent. Menu has changed. Always loved their Lobster Bisque which is no longer on the menu. Very disappointed. Service was up and down. Had to wait for our check

It is always a treat to go to Ruth Chris. The atmosphere is exciting and you know you are in for a dining experience. This location features a fairly extensive bourbon and whiskey offering. I can't help but to have an old fashion - smoked. The presentation is next level. Next to old fashion, and just bourbon neat, my next favorite has be their espresso martini with Baileys on the side. And let me not for get there Manhattan, not to sweet but very smooth. I saw Cowboy steak on the menu as well as Tomahawk steak. Twenty-two ounces vs Forty ounces. This Cowboy went for the 22oz Cowboy Ribeye. Every bite melts in your mouth. The steaks are always well seasoned and cooked to order. I would definitely order that steak again. Overall great bar service and dining experience. I look forward to my next visit.

I've grown accustomed to receiving phenomenal service and delicious food at any Ruth's Chris I've visited. The location in Odenton did not disappoint in either department! Located in a very unsuspecting part of town, this Ruth's Chris is sort of off the beaten path, but it's actually the perfect location for such a lovely dinning experience. We had dinner reservations, so we were seated immediately in one of their huge booths. The room was nicely dimmed, some tables had curtains for privacy, and the entire restaurant screamed elegant! It was a birthday celebration for me and our server, Mark, made sure I was treated like royalty. Our food was phenomenal, the drinks were delish and the service was truly out of this world. They offer valet service, but parking is available near by. The bar seems to be a pretty lively place to come for happy hour or to catch a game. They have a heated tent for those that want to dine outside without the elements. We had a wonderful time and I believe this is our favorite Ruth's Chris in the area!

Delicious food with consistently great service! This is a late review post... we go to this location often whenever we are craving a good steak over the last year, this has become a staple and it has never disappointed! We had reservations for an upscale restaurant in DC for our anniversary but with inclement weather pending we did not want to drive too far, and pivoted to a consistent fav without a reservation and it was still perfect! The fillet is normally my go-to which is amazing and always cooked to perfection, but this time I went with the ribeye, cooked medium. And my hubby went with the Tomahawk, medium rare. Both were juicy, buttery, perfection. The lobster mac and brussels were also 10 out of 10. With apps of oysters and a chopped salad, that I will now order each time I go there, we were absolutely stuffed and had nice to-go boxes for our steak and sides, which made a great lunch the next day! The only negative, was originally I ordered an old fashion special. When it arrived it was watery and you could tell it was premixed which made it flavorless, diluted and not bourbon-forward as an old fashioned should be. I gave that feedback to our amazing waiter and he promptly brought me a freshly made smoked old fashioned, same as my husband which was perfection!

Omg! My cousin and I went on Thanksgiving eve. DELICIOUS! It was empty at the bar and they were switching shifts so service started off slow. In fact, a man waiting to be acknowledged walked out claiming it was the worst ruth Chris ever. Anyway, after the bartender was ready she was prompt and pleasant. My drink, Gin smash=remarkable. We got the prix fixe option. The gumbo, steak, and dessert were outstanding. I woke up the next day thinking of that meal.

    Spicy Salmon (3 stars)

Mainly stopped in for some drinks to catch up with friends over the holidays, but we also split some small bites. The crabcakes were solid but small. The spicy salmon was okay, but it's not really the flavor profile I go for-- it kind of tasted like an Asian sweet & sour sauce but with a little bit of spice to it.

There was 3 of us. We had reservation through Open Table. A couple arrived and did not have reservation and hostess advised only area is the enclosed, heated patio. And we were seated in that location vs the main restaurant. Our table was in an area where the table was too tall chairs and the cushion pad was a joke. I was lucky and got an extra cushion to make me tall enough to eat the meal. My 6 foot husband sleeves dragged in his dishes. None of us order the Turkey meal as you got 1 side and nobody liked any of them, but the mash potatoes. So we decided to order steaks out of the 3 ordered 1 was okay and the other 2 were really bad both tough. The asparagus was tough, au gratin potatoes was chopped small and then just poured cheese over them put in oven to melt. The sides were $17 each. One person order 1 drink that was sent back as it was all milk. Two of us had a bottle of wine that was way overpriced. We drink the brand of wine in many restaurant this was the highest price ever. Speaking of overpriced they raised their prices across the menu by at least $2. We then order pumpkin cheesecake that was really a small cheese cupcake with a teaspoon of whip cream on top. This wonderful meal (JOKE) was over $425 including tip. So I suggest if you want a good meal next Thanksgiving or any time a void Ruth Chris in Odenton.

Ask the Community - Ruth's Chris Steak House - Odenton

My husband made dinner reservations for 6 for Sunday and he had to provide credit card information. Why and is that something that is expected in the future?

Not sure if it is custom for Ruth's Chris however I have noticed a trend with some restaurants doing this for for large parties and especially around major holidays (like in this case Valentine's Day) because the space is limited and they lose out… Read more

Yesterday, we stopped in, and my friend convinced me to try the center-cut pork chops with mushroom Marsala sauce. The pork chops were excellent, with a nice char from the grill, perfect cooking, and plenty of juices. However, the dish had no Marsala flavor at all, which was disappointing. If the menu had simply described it as a brown sauce, I would have loved it, but I was expecting a specific flavor that wasn't there. Even so, I was still very pleased with the meal. I also had the wedge salad, which is one of my favorites here, and I can never get enough of their blue cheese dressing. For my side, I chose the bacon potatoes au gratin. They were very rich but extremely flavorful. Overall, this place once again did not disappoint, and we will definitely be back.

Love the large TVs in the sports theatre, and the bar is cool, even though the chairs are a bit uncomfortable. Food overall is average; I have a few staples: the blackened chicken pasta or the Delmonico steak. I do not like that whatever salsa they give you for chips or the fajitas is jarred and clearly not fresh/homemade. Drinks are overpriced IMO, but I do like the jalapeño margarita. Service is usually friendly, and I like the karaoke and music bingo events they have on the weekends. Nice family atmosphere overall; just don't expect anything spectacular. We'll keep coming.

You can tell people really like this place. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the classic Eggs Benedict, which here comes with an interesting twist -- they add cheddar cheese. That was new to me. My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with sausage. They didn't ask patty or link, so we rolled the dice -- it came as links, and she wasted no time eating them. The waffle filled her up quickly. Fresh blueberries on top, crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, and sweet in all the right ways. When my Eggs Benedict arrived, it looked a little small at first and the potatoes barely filled the plate. But don't let that fool you. What a flavor. What a presentation. The hollandaise was perfect -- thick enough that it barely dripped off the muffins. Once the creamy yolk broke and mixed into that sauce, it was game over. The cheddar addition actually works, giving the whole dish another layer of richness. This is top-tier classic Benedict. Coffee was solid, the atmosphere cozy, and the pricing surprised me in a good way. My daughter's meal was $5.99, with only a $0.75 upcharge for juice, which is hard to beat these days.
