    Cool sign!

This place is sooo good! I got the mushroom sauerkraut pierogi with kielbasa coins and *chef's kiss*. The pierogi were pillowy and came with some great fried onions. Kielbasa was savory and had a nice crisp. The shop around the deli was fun as well. Definitely not to be missed for the pierogi lover!

Great little deli with a variety of polish delicacies. It's very small so when the 5 of us ordered and moved to the left to order another group of 5 arrived and it felt a little crowded. I'm sure two more groups of 5 people could have fit in there fine, but it would have been a tight fit. Anyways, I ordered a BLT with extra bacon and extra mayo. It was AMAZING. So good. I definitely want to try a different sandwich the next time I come back, but the BLT was very good.

Walked over from Swedish to George's for a lunch on a rainy day. Ordered ahead online and the sandwiches were ready on time. The deli was buzzing with lots of customers. I got the George's special and enjoyed it. Also tried the BLT and I liked it more honestly. Hope to come back in the future!

Solid European supermarket and delicatessen, with a wide variety of items. Clean and well organized shop. Pricing is fair. Service was efficient, and the person filling my order for cold cuts was knowledgeable. I ordered two types of liverwurst: Braunschweiger and a liver pate. The. Braunschweiger was lightly smoked (often this is overdone), and the pate was good but could have been more strongly spiced. The ham was juicy and flavorful. The rolled roast filled with veal was delicious and definitely worth a second trip.

Oh my goodness this is an absolute hidden gem. I just happened to walk by on my way to an appointment and decided to stop in for a deli sandwich. It was around 10:30am on a Friday morning so I didn't expect it to be too busy. But when I went inside, it's a rather small store, it was filled with people. The cashier was super nice and was explaining that it's an important Polish holiday where they have to make sandwiches so it would be extremely busy all day. I ordered a BLT, the reason I went in there, but also saw they made pierogis. It was so exciting I had to order some and it did not disappoint. I had the cheese and potato flavor. I will absolutely make it a necessity to come back here next time I'm in Seattle! Even eating the BLT, it was one of the best deli sandwiches I've ever had. Something so simple but all the ingredients were fresh and it was amazing. I also bought some Polish chocolates that were also really good! Hands down I will return. Also you MUST try the pierogis.

Amazing food & sandwiches! I've gone here for lunch for over a year and each time the customer service is amazing and the team makes you feel welcome. I've gotten a bit more adventurous with the food I get. Instead of sticking to the usual George's special I've changed it up and tried more sandwiches and soups. My regret is not changing it up sooner to try everything. Today I tried the Headcheese sandwich which has a delicious kick to it. It paired nicely with the chicken and barley soup. And Jasmine and Mira are always kind to the customers.

    Reuben sandwich. Delicious

Best pierogies I've ever had. We couldn't help pick up fresh made sausages and a Reuben while we were there. They also have an awesome selection of polish sweets! We have to go back to try it all!

George's has the best old country sandwiches in town. Everything I've eaten here is good.

The eastern European ladies may be seen chatting it up behind the glass front display counter -- a showcase of their variously-filled delectable piroshky. The salmon shape is delightful but so are the perfect little roses and bows on their other buns. I was well contented with the spinach piroshky -- a beautiful gift-box-style presentation with freshly made, satisfying bite. I would bring any visitor to Seattle here for the famous Piroshky experience. I can't wait to return for some traditional honey cake and poppy seed rolls next. You can tell they are authentically prepared, and reminiscent of a hole-in-the-wall, family-run Deli in an older city like New York--except in "new" Seattle it is ensconced in the insufferable sterility of the rectilinear glass and steel modern abominations that pass for "architecture". Conveniently located to the Swedish hospital complex next door. Bus stop from downtown a block away.

Our server was actually one of the bartenders who had a little extra time or was serving at the same time? Not sure, but the bartender was helping us for some reason, and looking back I'm glad he did because he was awesome. He answered all of our questions and was super attentive. At first we were only popping in for a beer and to scope out the place, as we're looking for a place to replace the Queen Anne Beerhall (since they keep raising their prices and now charge admission on their busy/holidays/events to get in). Then we ended up ordering a pretzel with a variety of sauces to give it a try as well as a few more beers and just overall enjoying the ambiance and watching a game. It was chill and went smoothly. We were hyped to go back. On our second visit, we were sorely disappointed. Maybe because it was around the FIFA World Cup or something, they changed their rules, and unless you stopped at the entrance to read the new rules on their large television AT the entrance, you wouldn't have known. The rules were something like, you have to order everything at the bar, and the servers are only serving food and drinks. It was weird, and we missed it. So when we finally got one of their servers' attention after sitting there for like 5 minutes waiting to order a beer, the guy refused to help us or answer any of our questions, literally walked away as we were talking. It was pretty bad. So yeah, we ended up walking out. Maybe we'll try again? Not sure, but maybe next time we'll sit at the bar since the bartenders seem much nicer and more attentive. The beers were great, and everything was much more reasonably priced than our usual spot.
