A must visit place! We stopped to grab dinner here on our way home from Brian Head and George's did not disappoint. Their dog-friendly patio was perfect for our party of 3 (+1 pup), the weather was perfect, and the music selection was great. We started with the goat cheese & honey bread appetizer (SO GOOD), then had the lamb burger (cooked perfectly and so flavorful), salmon sliders (packed with flavor and a kick of spice), and the tuna melt (so savory and delicious). The house salad was also so fresh. Their extensive menu provides options for anyone. The best part of our meal was our server, Josh! He was so attentive, gave great menu suggestions, and was super personable. One of the best servers I have ever had! We will definitely be back to visit next time we pass through. read more

Stopped in for a Friday night dinner and the place was fairly busy. Not a wait list busy, but still pretty full considering COVID protocols on Social Distancing. I was placed at the bar and was greeted by a very nice bartender. Service was good and this place has a full bar. The beer menu was a little "meh" and considering all of the great craft brewers in the state, there could have been a few more craft beers on the menu. I ordered the special of the evening which was salmon. I was impressed when they asked how I wanted it cooked and I told them a nice medium would be good. Salmon came out on a bed of rice and with some very small asparagus spears. It was overdone and burned / charred on the bottom but I was too danged hungry to send it back. I was also a little underwhelmed at the portions for a $28 price tag. This was 'maybe' an $18 plate. At most. Ancestor Square is one of my favorite areas in St. George. The trees are large and shady and the buildings are well maintained and preserve the character of what the town was built upon. I was excited to find George's Corner, a local place, right here in this little hub of history. I found the ambiance to be appropriate for the area-a little down-homey, but will just a dose of swankiness that this town is thirsty for. I appreciate that it's open on Sundays-something so many other places don't do. Hey-we still have to eat on the sabbath! They also appear to have a cool bar area, which I didn't get to partake of, being that I was here for brunch. Even I've got my limits. The food was ok. Not out-of-this world amazing, but satisfying. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which I finished, but would probably not order again. The bottom of the biscuits were really hard and the gravy was sort of lackluster in flavor. My wife had the pancake sandwich, and I took a few bites and enjoyed it. The portions are not gargantuan, but enough. The wait time to place our order and then for our food to come out seemed higher than it should have been. I'm not sure if they are staffing down due to COVID limits on restaurant capacity or if we just caught them at a busy time. But it did seem slow. Overall, I will likely come back because I'm excited about non-chain, local places. This one has a decent vibe and I would like to explore more of the menu. read more

Formally known has The Big Hand in late 1900's George's is a cool spot. Make sure to check out the pictures with plaques that tell brief facts from yesteryear. The restaurant is huge. Many different seating options. If you find yourself there on a live music night and are looking for dinner convo don't let them sit you in the bar/pit area, it's loud. I had a ribeye which resembled more of a flank steak, pretty thin and fatty. It tasted ok however. The selection of beer is woefully sad. Didn't check out their cocktail menu. All in all I'd probably go back to George's but I'll have to check out some other places in the area first. read more

Lives in St. George for 28 years and never been here so tonight the wife and I decided to try it out. We were quick to be seated, and liked the decor and ambience of the restaurant. Our waitress was notably bad though. We didn't get a water refill the entire time we were there, and she just seemed disinterested in being our server. Food was good when it came out but the portions were TINY! We were discussing where we might grab more food on the way home as we ate. Just so small for $50 worth of food. Waitress and staff were nice, but I go out for the food, not the service. Salad was a plate of rotten lettuce, literally. Mixed greens from a bag that was wilted and dark brown. Insane and gross. I should have taken a picture. I can't believe anyone would serve that. The ribeye, although cooked perfectly, was coated in an exuberant amount of pepper. It was inedible unfortunately. My son's fish tacos had very little fish and a lot of some cream sauce that wasn't mentioned on the menu. My daughter's noodles with butter and parm was sitting in butter and coated with chucks of parmesan cheese. Not grated but cut with a knife to create large chucks. From the kids menu, really? Today was our second trip to Saint George, and the second time we've eaten at George's. Our waitress, Tera, was awesome. She remembered us from our first visit a few weeks ago. She was very friendly and accommodating. And our food was delicious. I would highly recommend George's. Ask for Tera to be your server. read more

First time for us visiting this cute part of St. George called Ancestor Square historic district with cute shops and dining spots. George's Corner did not disappoint for our lunch visit. Nice warm wood tavern decor and great service. I had the pastrami and swiss sandwich with sauerkraut on toasted rye. It was served with a pear and walnut lettuce salad with a light balsamic. Very tasty! My husband had the breaded fish and onion rings and it was delectable. He enjoyed axSilver Reef Fresh & Juicy IPA so much we stopped to buy some at a nearby grocery to take back to Mesquite before heading home. Looking forward on returning here as well as trying other bistros nearby. read more

The perfect place for a terrible diner type meal. The restaurant itself was cute but the food was not good. The pretzel seemed like it was microwaved. I ordered the turkey sandwich and the avocado was turning brown, the turkey looked like the cheapest turkey they could find. They also messed up a drink order and forgot the bacon on the club. When they brought me the bacon for the sandwich it was one small piece. Normally if a restaurant forgets something they bring a bit more than usual. My sister got the pastrami and my dad got the steak sandwich and the meat quality overall was just not good. Do not recommend going here. read more

Came in to place a to go order. Bar tender was really nice, I ordered a vegan sandwich which is on their menu (didn't make it up or substitute something to make a custom order) I got back to my vehicle and started eating the fries before leaving and went to look at the sandwich before taking a bite to find out it was defiantly not a vegan sandwich, it had cheese and mayo. I came back and the bar tender took it back to make a new one, got the new one and it didn't have humus or mustard on it which is a key ingredients in the sandwich. It's now just lettuce, cucumber and onions on bread. I just don't k ow how you can mess this up twice!! If you can't make a vegan sandwich with the ingredients listed on your own menu just take it off the menu. read more

Definitely one of the better places in STG. Had to wait a little while to be seated but understandable as their was a long line to be seated. After we were seated we were immediately served and our food came out promptly. Very happy with the service. Chips and salsa was just okay, chips were crunchy and salty but the salsa was not the best. Pasta we got was good and had great flavor! Burger was very tasty and had a great seasoning. We came late after a trip to Zion with a party of 10. The staff here was amazing, got us seated much faster than originally quoted. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and the service was phenomenal. Shoutouts to the hostess and manager who I heard talking about getting our table ready and making sure we would get good service. We ordered "the usual". He had a cheeseburger (with those fabulous fries) & I had a chicken quesadilla. We are in shock! The food was awful! I don't know what changed, but nothing tasted like it's supposed to. My quesadilla was an oozy, greasy mess. It's like they bought the cheapest cheese you can buy. Gross!
