A friend of mine wanted to check our George's. I have to say the exterior I didn't know what to expect. The food, I have to say was top notch! I did really enjoy the gyro and fries a special. Was enough food to be full. Easily one of my top gyro spots I have tried in my life time. The service was good too. A very large party was a head of us. Definitely felt like the wait staff really was on there A game! I like how nice everyone was to us. The ambiance, initially I didn't know what to think. After sitting down it did feel like everyone who was there were regulars. I did like the decor that was on the walls, make the vibe very homey. Overall, I would say anyone who wants to get a good gyro. I would say that's the go to. You won't be disappointed.

Decent. Did the job for a desperate dad after school. The pros of this place are the warm staff & definitely the prices. Basically got an appetizer, enteee & kids meal for about $20. If it's any constellation my daughter mentioned that the grilled cheese was amazing. Also the fried zucchini in the sampler was quite tasty as well. With those accolades aside the shrimp fell quite flat. They were popcorn size & had zero flavor as did the accompanying fries. Unbeknownst to me was the fact the they have seasoned fries but I didn't realize it until after I placed my order.

I grew up going to George's since we had a store in the area. I was thrilled to come back and see they're still Doing well and very modernized. Had an amazing gyros at a great price. Thank you! I will be back.

Food is great, with huge portions and even better prices. It's hard to find a meal for two under $30 anywhere now, and George's proves to be a neighborhood gem. With a nice new remodel also 10/10

Prices were very cheap. I liked that the gyro was hot and very tasty and the fries were good. The mozzarella sticks were great. Service was very nice to us it took a long time for our food to get to us but every thing was nice.

Best gyros hands down. Blackhawks Special and any fried food desire, this is where to go in Bridgeport. Also, great soups for rainy days.

I've always been very happy with everything I got here. Food is good, and cheap. You get a whole meal for under 5 bucks usually.

My only regret is getting the 6-inch instead of the 12-inch because it was that good. Now, I did forget how tough a good hoagie can be to bite into, but honestly, that just made it feel even more real. The sandwich was fresh, filling, and worth every bite. The vibe inside was cool. I came in, they had some good music playing an alternative group from the '90s and I was greeted right away. The gentleman who took my order over the phone was pleasant, and the service felt welcoming. The price was decent, and there was parking when I went, but keep in mind I stopped by on a Tuesday after 4 p.m. The only thing I wish they had was more drink options besides soda, I wanted a water and there was none that I seen. Overall, I can't wait to go back. If the vegan sandwich was this good, I already know the other hoagies are probably killing it too. Bronzeville Hoagie and Panini definitely needs to be on your list.

Finally got to try this establishment. I was in the area getting a haircut and was very hungry. I…read moreresearched nearby eateries and saw this was only a few block away from Sola Suites. Anyway, very clean shop. Service was friendly. I ended up ordering the Hoagie sampler which allows you to pick (3) different hoagies which are 4 inches. They wrap the hoagies individually and then place them in a container together. My hoagie also came with a small individual serving of chips. I ordered this with it in mind that I would give my husband one of the hoagies. Timing wasn't too long between order and the to-go being ready. I ate my first hoagie in the car on my ride back to the home. It wasn't messy and was deliciously seasoned with condiments. I believe it was the corn beef. Yum. We also enjoyed turkey ham and turkey hoagie. The bread was just right not too soft and not too tough. However it held up with the Italian seasoning applied to the fresh veggies. All-in all, enjoyed my hoagies. If in the area again, would try the Italian beef or one of the panini. I had a solid hour drive home so I didn't think those would hold up in the car or be easy to eat in the car. I did. Like that that they had a tuna melt and those are my jam.

They are known for their steak sandwich (always my pick). Their fried mushrooms are a great Chicago classic. The pizza by the slice is also delicious. Plenty of choices for vegetarians. Vegans might have a bigger challenge finding items... but the Italian ice is worth the visit! The vibe is casual, but grab a table and stay awhile. Perfect spot to eat and watch a Sox's game! Plenty of space for bigger groups as well. Everything is counter service, but food comes out quick and hot! If you are a local who remembers how Portillos used to be... come to Ricobene's. It's untouched by private equity and perfect!

I've tried the pizza slices, beef sandwich, and the steak sandwich. Not impressed with any honestly. It's edible and you're in the city with free parking under the bridge. That's all I got lol. Steak is messier than hell but I'm not a fan of the taste. It's breaded. Pizza was very gas station like. And the Italian beef meat was so chewy and full of chunks and dry. It was gross. Lacked flavor also. I couldn't believe I was in the city eating a beef and I was actually wishing it was any other brand for some flavor and moist, tender, and fresh meat. The place is packed everyday so there's a lot of tables coming and going. They really should have workers constantly cleaning and clearing tables and garbages because they were all dirty or full.
