I can't remember the name of this dessert but it was so delicious, if you have a sweet tooth you need to try it! The casing was my favorite part I believe it's a honey almond crispy cone and inside was filled with a rich chocolate mousse with a hint of cafe flavor. My husband and I went for lunch the other day for lunch. We ordered the Ruben sandwich and were so disappointed. It was so thin with maybe 2 pieces of meat, no cheese and maybe a tablespoon of sauerkraut. I'd rather be charged more money and have a healthy amount of meat like they used to make. Loved the food ambiance and employees are super nice and down to earth - order person was able to patiently answer questions though they are very busy. My only negative comment is that whoever that gentleman is mc for the music is asking people for gratuity in the tip jar which I was going to give but not after feeling pressured to do so. I just had my first visit here, and ordered a Hot Turkey Sandwich with Havarti Cheese & Caraway Seeds and Mayo on Rye, along with regular Country Potato Salad. I was a little unhappy that no pickle spear is provided and no vegetables at all are available to be added to a sandwich, although I took two pickle chips that were resting on top of my Potato Salad, and inserted them in my sandwich. It was probably a mistake to order such a sandwich hot, for the more cold the sammie got the better it tasted. Good, premium roasted meats are served here, and very good Rye Bread. The Potato Salad was good, as well but next time I will try the more authentic German Style Potato Salad. But the place is rather spartan, with all-wood tables and chairs situated right next to the deli and market, and outdoor seating available as well. There was a Bavarian feeling to the place, and order takers and the cashier were friendly. XXX-1/2 stars overall! read more

I live in the midwest now, but my parents used to frequent this place, and they raved about the sausages and everything else. They were spot on--the food here is amazing, and the market selection will provide plenty to take home. Great hot plates and sandwiches, absolutely delicious!! I was complaining to my doctor about the long drive home when he recommended that I stop for lunch first, and George's was the only place to go. What a great place! A mix of a grocery and deli. I bought a reuben. It's a big serving, I was more than full with half a sandwich. The corned beef was easily the best I've had since moving to the West Coast. It was served with bread and butter pickles. I'm normally not a fan but they tasted fresh and light. The potato salad was tangy and some good crunch from the bits of bacon. I also purchased bear claws for my ma and sister-in-law. I believe they are made fresh off-site. I was told they were the best bear claws ever. There was a long line but it moved rather quickly. I bought a bit of everything. I've gone back a few times and the service has always been top notch. One worker was kind enough to explain the importance of each holiday item they were selling - so I bought all of them. One of my favorite places. read more

There is an outdoor and indoor dining section available for the deli section. The atmosphere is fun, casual and relaxing. It is a pleausre to be able to enjoy a German meal while some of their regulars who are also enjoying a beer or food are speaking in German. We tried the deli section and decided to order a hot plate with knockwurst and a hot Rueben sand-which. The food was very flavorful, filling and very well priced. We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and people here. Excellent customer service too. read more

Great German grub and grocer. Young girls working are very nice. The older women are horrid and total jerks. I think they are the owners daughters. Snobby and rude. I wish they weren't there when I go in. I dread seeing them. Especially if the one that wears more makeup is goofing around. They didn't add cheese to my Reuben once and she tried to convince me that they don't use cheese on it. Then when I demanded my money back or a new sandwich she had a young girl remake it and then no One beckoned me or brought me back my sandwich. I leave 2 stars. Hopefully dad will see this and teach his daughter how to treat people. I've heard complaints from other people about her as well. read more

Candy drinks snacks and a full fledge deli serving for purchase but the real stand out is their German hot plate. For only $10 you get a meal that could honestly serve 2 with the most amazing sauerkraut sausage bread and German potato salad. This only makes the trip worth it. Awesome little german deli market. They have tons of sausage and roll meat inckuding landjeager, Hungarian sausage. 2 types of brats one cured with veal on it which is yummy. Fresh delicious pretzels, breads even pumpernickel. All kinds of jars of red cabbage. Sourkraut. Pickles etc. Hit german potato salad wad awesome. Deli sandwich of pastrami pn rye was very lean and good. Apple struuddle is fantastic. Even have a beer garden. Employees very nice and patient Spent $115 easily. This review does not include the actual meat products sold barring that... if you live in this area George's Market is a great German deli. There is a great selection of German foods to choose from. Sure, they are marked way up due to import costs, but a great range of chocolates, candy, bread, coffee, wines, beers, and even Knorr products for cooking and Dr. Oetker products for baking. Truly amazing! I really enjoyed walking around the store and seeing everything they had. It looks like it also acts as a restaurant or biergarten which is quite cool.
