I am from Pakistani origins, also with ancestry from Afghanistan, India and Iran, in other words, I have A LOT of eyebrow. Sheila and Neelu are the ONLY ones who can tame my eyebrows and not only can they tame them, but they make them FABULOUS. They should be called the eyebrow whisperers, and not only are they amazing at what they do but they have the best customer service I have ever received from a salon establishment. Even though it is more expensive to get your eyebrows threaded here ($20) it is worth the money rather than going to the back of a Indian or Pakistani jewelry, clothing, or fabric store. Excellent Customer Service. They are very professional and highly experienced in all services they provide. I have been visiting this place for two years now, first I called them over the phone and Shila was very friendly and encouraging to visit. I am glad I did go to this place over all other options I had. My skin has really changed now. Georgetown Rejuvenation is a hidden gem in Arlington! They are simply amazing. The staff is wonderful & sweet and they treat you like family as soon as you enter. Extremely professional and they do a wonderful job. I went to the salon for some laser treatments and discovered that they also do eyebrow threading. Nilo has been doing my eyebrows for over a year and they've never looked better. I wouldn't trust anyone else. This Spa is Amazing! I came in initially for hair removal. They offer electrolysis and laser removal and I've had both - as they advised for different areas. The process was effective, efficient, and with very little discomfort. I followed Sheila's consultation advice and everything worked out even better then I imagined it would. I then started coming in for facials because I loved the skin products that I purchased. The facial technicians are all fabulous. I've had facials from Ana, Mina, Mitra and Miriam and they all gave me the best facial that I've ever had. Massy did my eyebrows (threading) and it is amazing how much nicer that is then wax. I don't think I will ever go to anyone else again. She was so particular and the change to my eyebrows actually made my face look a little younger - per my husband who actually noticed. I also had some micro dermabrasian and an oxygen facial which really had a positive effect on my skin. I cannot thank this salon enough for such care and quality service. I used my groupon to get a facial done recently and boy was it a bad experience. The place was freezing, I was taken to a room with two beds, a woman was getting her eyebrows threaded on one, her aesthetician and mine (who is the owner) talked the entire time, I didn't have any privacy at all. She stopped several times in the middle of my facial to take calls and tend to other customers. The facial itself was rushed, painful and not relaxing at all. After the facial she proceeded to tell me how my eyebrows were badly shaped and I needed to go to her to get them fixed and ended by trying to market her electrolysis services to me. AMAZING EYEBROWS. I have been going to Georgetown Skincare for the past five years and it is the best eyebrow place I have ever been. They take their threading (much better than waxing) very seriously and are perfectionists when it comes to eyebrows. I bought a Groupon for a facial and I'm really happy with the results. So much, in fact, that I purchased a five pack. Sheila did a wonderful job and I loved the way my skin looked and felt. My husband hardly ever notices things and when he saw me later that night he actually said my skin looked beautiful. I can't wait for the next time I get to go and get pampered by Sheila. Here are a few reasons I didn't give a five star review: There was no receptionist when I arrived so no one acknowledged my arrival. I sat in the waiting room for 10 mins before Sheila popped out of another room in which she was still working on a client. The robes they provide for one to use are a little threadbare and the one I was given was fleece. It was really hot in the room I was in and I was wearing a fleece robe. No way to turn down the thermostat to cool off the room so I just laid quietly on the bed sweating. It's not quite a luxury spa experience but I did thoroughly enjoy myself and I got what I wanted! A great facial at a great price. The experience was good enough that I am going to be repeat customer. read more

Sheila is a wonderful, caring person and very knowledgable in terms of skin and hair removal. She is very friendly and her prices are reasonable. I had been looking for someone who did eyebrow threading in the area for a while - other than those places in the mall, because honestly, I just don't trust them. When I found this place I was very excited. It's a little pricey - $20 for threading, but worth it. I have had some people butcher my eyebrows in the past and the shape is now awful. I ended up at Georgetown Electrolysis and Skincare through a Groupn for Laser Hair Removal. LHR is not something I had previously considered and somewhat out of character for me, but a great deal I couldn't resist!! My first day I was very nervous (to say the least!)...I didn't know what to expect, other than pain! The atmosphere at the spa is so calming and the staff was unbelievable. Each of them are so sweet and reassuring, catering to each client as if they were longtime friends... Needless to say the LHR was not nearly as "painful" as I had anticipated and the step by step explanation of what was going to happen and how it worked made me so much more comfortable and return for more appointments! If you are looking for electrolysis or laser hair removal this is the place to go! I have been getting electrolysis here for about 9 months now. I have struggled with excess facial hair since puberty and the hair is finally disappearing thanks to Shelia! I spent so much money on laser hair removal in the past that didn't giving me any lasting results. The hair still came back and without constant laser follow up looked exactly the same if not worse thanks to hormones. I heard bad things about electrolysis and was scared to try it, but I wish I had done it sooner. Shelia is so nice and treats you like family! She has over 20 years of experience and is honest about the process. It is same pain level as laser, but produces immediate visible results. The healing time is short. I light redness for about 2 days after treatment, but then I am hair free for two weeks before finer hairs or those missed in the previous session return. Even waxing never gave me that kind of time hair free. Permanent results take time, but after 9 months of treatment my chin is almost hair free. I have treatment every 3 weeks, which works out great because I also get my eyebrows threaded here! I swear my brows have never looked so good. read more

Over the past 8 years, this family owned business has done wonders for my facial hair, eyebrows, and overall skincare. I started coming to Georgetown Electrolysis when they were in Georgetown on Wisconsin Avenue. My first service was an appointment for electrolysis to remove the stubborn threads of hair on and around my chin area. Initially I was apprehensive about the treatment, but knew I needed to do something to stop the hair from growing back. Sheila was very patient with me in explaining the process and reassuring me that in time, the unwanted hair would stop growing and she was right! I had monthly treatments and begin to see the results in such a short time. While there, I noticed the work her daughter was doing with the eyebrow threading and inquired about that service. I tried it once and have not had my eyebrows waxed in the past six years. I moved from electrolysis to getting my eyebrows threaded and now I get regular facials. I no longer have the unwanted hair on my chin and my combination, acne skin is so much better! The service is outstanding and their flexibility is so accommodating for my demanding schedule. I am a straight very attractive male and I came in here for electrolysis on my eyebrows. Shiela is very nice how everyone says but also incredibly dumb. She pulled down so hard on my eyebrow muscle and skin that it would hurt and I knew that this couldnt be right and told her and she would just say that its nessary. I should of just walked out. Since then my eyebrows have been sitting real low and it changed my appearance. Thank god I have found a solution and have been forcing my eyebrows up with my fingers and its starting to return to normal but there are wrinkles now but im exfoliating them out and its working. but I have delt with them down for nearly 3 months. This is ridiciously unacceptable. I am writing this review not to be an ass but because I love gorgeous girls in the dmv area. I would never let anyone go back to her. I've been going to this place for almost two years now. After trying a few other threading places in DC, it was such a relief finding them and I haven't looked back since - their new place in Arlington is very nice and cozy. Nilu threads my eyebrows every 3-4 weeks. I always get compliments afterwards and my sensitive skin never breaks out post-threading. I got microdermabrasion (package of 6 sessions) and laser hair removal with Sheila (again, 6 sessions) - couldn't be happier with her services. They are wonderful, warm, hospitable people and great at what they do. They are very accommodating with appointments, they were able to fit me in with very short notice several times. Their place makes you feel at home; you can sense the warmth and trust. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation from my pregnancy over six few years ago that is still going strong. It's very dark and covers large patches of my forehead and cheeks. I've tried multiple TCA peels, use sunscreen regularly, scrub my face, and use a variety of products that claim to help pigmentation -- nothing has helped. I started seeing Mitra at Georgetown Rejuvenation three months ago, aggressively getting facials with microdermabrasion. I am beyond pleased!!! Not only has my pigmentation improved drastically, the overall texture, pores, and even my eyebags are notably better. Every time I see her, I wish I had started getting facials years ago. At almost 50 years old, Mitra brings out the best in my skin. I am so thankful to have her working on my skin. She's also simply a wonderful person with kind, calm energy. I look forward to seeing her every month. (On a side note, I'm actually not one to invest much in my skin because I've never really noticed any difference. But with Mitra, the difference is so notable, I've decided to make it a priority.) Ironically, after starting my facials, I asked Mitra how the whole staff at GR all have great skin, and she confessed that they all get facials there. At the risk of having more people discover this gem, Georgetown Electrolysis is the best in the DMV. I repeat you will not find better at the "high end" "spas" in DC or anywhere else around the area. I began with electrolysis (they do provided laser hair removal however I did not try it because laser hair removal was previously unsuccessful given my darker skin tone and because I researched and found only electrolysis can claim to be permanent). Sheila is so lovely to visit each time! It's like being a guest in her home. The rooms are gorgeous, pristine and inviting. It is a calming experience upon enter the doors. Sheila herself is such a kind and generous soul, helpful and knowledgeable about skincare. After analyzing my skin she suggested trying a facial. I was hesitant about the process but I trust Sheila and her staff. And the result? My skin was GORGEOUS and glowing as soon as they were done. At first Sheila made me a deal so I could afford to come every two weeks (that's how bad my skin was) and now I only get a facial every 4 weeks for maintenance.
