The staff greeted you the second you walked in and checked on your through out the meal which is always appreciated. I had a really enjoyable experience overall. The restaurant has a very casual, laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. One of my favorite parts was the outdoor patio. It had plenty of shade, which made it comfortable even during the warmer part of the day, and it added to the overall vibe. For the food, the mac and cheese was definitely a highlight. It was creamy, flavorful, and had a nice homemade taste that paired well with everything else on the plate. I also ordered the catfish, which was cooked well and had a nice texture. The only thing that kept it from being perfect was that it was seasoned a little heavier than I personally prefer. There was one particular seasoning that I couldn't quite identify, but it was a bit overpowering at first. Thankfully, adding a squeeze of lemon and using the tartar sauce really balanced the flavors and made it much more enjoyable. The mashed potatoes were good, although they reminded me of upgraded instant mashed potatoes. They were very garlicky, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you're a garlic lover. I even wondered if that same bold garlic flavor was part of the seasoning on the catfish since the flavors seemed similar. Overall, I had a good meal and enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, the patio was a great place to sit, and the food was satisfying despite a couple of small flavor preferences. I'd definitely come back to try some of the other menu items and would recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a casual spot with good comfort food.

Collard greens, corn bread and fried chicken.

Ordered takeout - fried chicken, collard greens and corn bread. Overall food was ok but was hoping for better for the price (over $20 with tax and tip). 1. Cornbread - looks like a muffin and was ok. I prefer mine to be softer and the "muffin" type made it harder because edge all the way around. Butter was delicious and wish I had more. Disappointed as I waited for my order and saw everyone dining in got cornbread free. Why not all orders? Everyone is paying the same price. 2. Fried chicken - had more of a cornmeal coating which kinda fell off leaving a weird grayish/brown skin. Chicken was moist and tasted good but not best fried chicken I've had. 3. Collard greens - best of what I ordered. Delicious but had a little kick. It was fine for me but others might not expect that. Would I go back? Perhaps if I was in the area like I was today. But most likely I'd like to try other soul food places first.

I have been here several times before but has been a while, ate here a week ago last Sunday. There is plenty of parking, but the lot tends to get packed on a Sunday. I love that there is a huge wall sized menu as you walk in to the left. You order and pay at the register and find an open seat. The staff brings your food to your table. Everyone I have visited the staff is always friendly. I ordered the chicken Cobb salad, I do not like blue cheese and the staff was able to substitute that with Parmesan. Since it was such a nice day, I sat outside in their cute covered patio area . Delicious fresh salad. Big portion size and they definitely didn't skimp on the salad fixings. The only thing I would have liked was the option to have the salad tossed, the dressing came on the side. But nonetheless I still enjoyed the salad.

The cornbread was amazing, fresh and warm. Not too sweet very moist. Eggs were cooked correctly. Fish came out hot & seasoned, not too much batter. The grits were good, lacked a bit of seasoning. Nothing a little salt and pepper didn't fix. Can't go wrong with a mimosa. I also asked for water, it tasted a little odd. Service was friendly, it such a cute little restaurant. I sat inside but the outside patio area is great addition to a small space. I'll see definitely be back to try something else.

This place was AMAZINGGG love it downnn . the foood was great the cus service was amazzing, n my waiter I think her name was Lena she was amazin, great customer service helped me the whole timeee.

I was craving ribs for dinner and Georgia's was the first to come to mind. The ribs are nice and tender off the bone with a good splash of barbecue sauce. I also appreciate the cornbread is complimentary as a dine-in guest. My sister ordered their shrimp basket and we upgraded to Cajun fries. The only thing was tracking down a bottle of ketchup- although we probably could have asked the servers, but we didn't want to be a bother. It was the dinner rush after all. We also like the outside dining is dog-friendly so our pup could people watch while we dined.

My family and I tried Georgia's for a late lunch a week ago. We ordered at the counter and were seated on the shaded patio outside with our small dog. The small plate of cornbread was great - tender and moist and served with I think apple butter. One of our dishes, the sea bass with lemon sauce, came quickly and the seasoning was smooth and creamy while having a a nice acidity to it. That, however, is where the positive ends. The rest of our party had to wait 30 minutes for the other 2/3 of our meals to arrive. During this time, there were other staff who were clearly available (wiping windows, clearing tables, etc.), but no one came to update us on where our food was. We had to get servers' attention, after which we were informed there was a large catering order causing the holdup. Which, fine; but as a guest who's physically seated in your restaurant, why send out only one dish and say the rest was coming in a few minutes? Why, more importantly, after those "few minutes" would you not provide an estimate for the others and say bring out more cornbread? Now, they did offer us some beignets (comped), but there was no reason it should have taken half an hour to send out a tri tip sandwich and blackened chicken pasta. I get the impression Georgia's prioritizes mobile orders, but this experience definitely makes me reconsider coming again in person.

Complimentary corn bread when dining in! Tasty!

Parking is horrible. I had to drive around the entire plaza three times. I was about to give up when someone was leaving and I snagged the spot. After a long walk to the restaurant we were greeted by super friendly employees. You order at the register and find a table. 100% of the tables were filthy and not once during our entire visit did staff clean them. Several customers were complaining about it. This restaurant has excellent fried catfish. So much flavor! I loved the black eyed peas too. Collard greens didn't seem washed enough and were very gritty. I couldn't eat much of it. My wife had the fried chicken but said it was just OK. We also shared some tasty fried green tomatoes and I got a cup of their outstanding jambalaya. Besides the greens I really enjoyed my meal. I probably would not return though since the dining room was filthy which makes me wonder about the kitchen. Parking was horrible but there was a outdoor market thing happening so maybe that contributed to that.

Awesome service by having a helpful staff. The food was fresh and flavorful without being salty. The restaurant was constantly being cleaned and the plate-wear matched the vibe.

Been meaning to write a review for Georgia's. I've tried the catfish, collards, and jambalaya rice. The fish was prepared to order and the collards and jambalaya were fresh as well. The tastes wasn't bad. The greens were better than some I've had in soul food restaurants - not bitter. The fish was really good. The rice didn't quite do it for me though. The portion size was great! The place is located in an outdoor strip mall. There are about 15 tables and it can accommodate small groups. Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall not a bad dining experience.

I love coming here to Georgia's Restaurant at the Long Beach exchange! If your into great food and have a thing for southern cooking here you are! I ordered this! Blackened chicken sandwich with fries and bacon on the sandwich! Yum! Service was good and friendly and the atmosphere is well great! Love this place every time I come here! Check this place out! Food is great!

    Tri Tri-Tip Salad
    Estefania S.

Good quality on the food ! I really enjoyed my tri tip salad it was loaded and came with a yummy piece of toast. Also when we sat the servers brought out delish cornbread. We ordered Mac and cheese for my little one. The ambiance is casual you order at the counter and sit it's perfect for fast and tasty lunch. My only reason where there could be some improvement is price ? We paid 90 for 3 adults and 1 baby to dine. Maybe that's a standard now in a lot of places but for an order at the counter I think it's a little high. Thank you!

Michelob Ultra - Free with the $5 Birthday Month promo
    Rodney S.

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY $5 Birthday Month Promo for Rewards members Upon consuming my free birthday month sandwich at Ike's, and afterwards dining at Sosogu for a Signature Roll & Cocktail, Georgia's Restaurant was the next stop on the agenda. Hmmmm, I could use the $5 on a side, or dessert, perhaps. But, since I was quite satiated, I decided a nice cold Michelob Ultra would hit the spot on a hot August day. And, it did! $4.95, which made the beer absolutely free! Service was great. Georgia's was mildly busy, and I had my beer in hand quickly, which I downed in a few minutes. Thirst quenching! Georgia's provides a decent Birthday Month promo, which I avail myself of, every year. A free beer is nothing to kvetch about, and I look forward to when August rolls around, again.

We started off with a bottle of cab (41.00, ouch)! We ended up ordering the fondue for the app (24.00) which comes with bite size pieces of bread and diced apples. It was ok, a little too runny and had an interesting hint of beer flavor. Next up we both ordered the brie & prosciutto sandwich which came with a side of au gratin and greens. The sandwich was excellent but the potatoes were cold. We ended our meal sharing creme brulee for dessert. It was good but also served cold. Total bill incl tip: 163.00 bucks (double ouch)! Overall, meal and service was good, but I would forego the wine on a future visit as it was way overpriced for the brand we got as well as the cheese fondue. Will definitely be back though. Very comfy and charming atmosphere.

The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

Navy Proof is the restaurant and bar inside the Westin Long Beach lobby. The open atrium with high…read moreceilings and large windows looks impressive, but in the early afternoon the sun made the space feel warm and greenhouse-like. The bartender was excellent. He went into the kitchen for fresh berries, muddled them with Tito's and soda, and made a genuinely refreshing summertime drink that helped with the heat...! I eventually ordered the Crispy Shrimp & Calamari to eat as my main (I was dining alone). I had recently had a very notable version of the same dish at a Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC, and unfortunately, this one did not measure up. The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.
