Tiny new sushi joint at the border of Harlem and UWS. The menu is small but mighty, and the price is fair. There are no seats (the Covid effect), no frills, and no fancy rolls but it's darn tasty. The salsa salmon roll was great, and the other rolls were good too. Hopefully this place adds a few special rolls in the future as it hits its stride. New sushi spot on the block! Super lowkey place, the menu is limited but the prices are fair. Not much of an indoor dining place but would be great for takeout. I only tried one roll to check it out and it was solid. The salmon was definitely fresh, the sushi rice was okay. Had a birthday party that needed sushi. Hadn't heard of this place, and haven't been thrilled with some other local offerings, so decided to give them a try. Very pleased! I'm particular about my fish, so I asked for a substitution on one roll and it was handled perfectly. The sushi was fresh and nice looking. The rolls were simple, but well constructed (ideal, for me). Delivery was quick, and the packaging was minimal yet made for a nice presentation. The menu is a bit more limited than other places, but we ordered just about the whole thing and were very happy with every item. Always better to do a few things well than many poorly! Looking forward to ordering from here again. Would be delighted to have a dependable sushi place nearby. read more

Excellent value everything was fresh and well prepared. Delivery was prompt and free. Some of the best sushi at this price point better then most except the hi-end joints. I wouldn't say the fish was bad, as in spoiling, but it was so very far from good. I ordered a nigiri platter, which is chef's choice of fish, so you expect the best sushi the restaurant has available. The salmon was decent but the rest was just not enjoyable. One piece was too much like hard rubber I couldn't easily chew it. (And then I threw the rest out.) We also got a single order of eel, but this only came with one piece. in my sushi experience (which is vast), sushi orders almost always come with 2 pieces, but to be fair this was my fist NYC single sushi order, so maybe that is how it's done here? The rolls were easier to eat, but of course they would be remarkably improved with better quality fish. I also was not impressed with the rice, which is so often ignored and yet a large part of the sushi experience. If you are in the mood for some good sushi, I would recommend trying another place. read more

Ordered several rolls to go. They were tiny, not super fresh. It looked like the rolls were cut with a knife that had wasabi on it. My family members who can't eat spicy were left without dinner. The quality is low. It is like eating store bought sushi. I was quite suspicious of not seeing anyone ordering around dinner time, but decided to give it a chance. Sorry, I won't come back. Don't order from this restaurant. The food was inedible. I ordered the beef pot stickers (they don't call them by that name but...) and two rolls. The dumpling type items tasted greasy and sour; they had not been deep fried but were maybe boiled for a minute or two. I ate half of one. Unpleasant. The two rolls were last Friday's fish leftovers for sure. Nothing about this roll said, "...pride in what I do." Maybe they kept their standards up early this year, but alas, those standards have slid. read more

I'd politely call the store's design as sparse. Simple white paint. A few little tables and chairs. No protein on display as you'd normally see at a sushi bar, and just one person on staff. We have ordered twice from this place (Aug 2021), and both times the food was great. Close to top quality (thinking Nobu, places in Tokyo), at reasonable prices.
