If I could put no stars I would just because the experience was so overwhelming, time consuming and depressing. When you first meet Geraldine you feel comfortable and makes you feel as she is willing to work with you and get through anything together but at the end of the day it's just a business to her . I made the mistake of paying her in full for my 2020 wedding because I just really liked her. Then COVID happened and sadly my wedding had to be rescheduled. Unfortunately Geraldine was booked on my rescheduled date. I paid $3400. She only offered me a credit of $1499. Mind you I had to pay for another photographer. During Covid (if you follow her on ig you will see) she vacationed a whole lot and still I wanted to be fair and understanding and informed her I think it would be fair for her to still do my engagement photos and keep half the money and return the other half . She stated no that she had to be fair to her other brides (even though the contract states otherwise) and that other brides did an elopement and I should've reached out to her first before picking out a new wedding date of course I felt offended as my wedding date was dependent on my weekends with our kids from prior relationships NOT on her availability. Her bubbly nice personality completely changed she tried to use verbiage to make it seem like I straight out cancelled with her to fit her contract so that she did not have to owe me any money . It was stressful when it should've been the happiest time of my life so I sent her a demand letter (Because I knew what the contract stated) she stated she was willing to let a judge decide . I waited until after my new wedding date and we went to small claims court. The judgment was in my favor and she has to pay me back all my money. After the judgement she turned to me and stated it was never her intent to keep my money, I didn't respond because actions speak louder than words. It's been 2 months I haven't heard from her nor has $1 been paid back to me. I feel for the other brides that also went through the same thing as I did but felt intimidated to do anything about it. I just hope if people decide to book with her an act of god doesn't occur because at the end of the day it's just a business to her. Advice : Don't ever pay anyone in full regardless of how comfortable you feel with them . Read contracts thoroughly and know your rights. Lastly, don't ever feel intimated. read more
