I contacted Anthony near the end of December. I explained that I had encountered two issues that I needed him to take a look at. A year before, I brought my Camry to him after an accident. Based on the time of this current visit, the car was still under warranty. We set up a time for me to come by and he would take at the issues. After inspecting the car, he agreed that should be taken care of but also found another issue. He would order the parts and give me a call to set-up a time to have the issues resolved. He assured me that I could wait as it wouldn't take very long. Just into the new year, I received a call from Ilyiana to inform me that the parts were in and Anthony was ready to resolve the issues. We setup a time for me to bring the car in. When I arrived, Anthony greeted me, took the key to the car and went to have the repairs taken care of. True to his word, I was there for maybe 30 minutes or so, Anthony let me know that the car was ready. And, there was no charge! That was music to my ears. So, to be clear, the issues were: misalignment with the front on the driver's side and the trunk was opening faster than usual. What Anthony discovered was that there was a strut that had burst and was supposed to slow down the opening of the trunk. After repairing the trunk, the gentleman who worked on it, told me that this might be an ongoing issue but recommended that I should be there to gently open the trunk as opposed to using the remote afar off. Called this location due to poor repairs done at the Germantown location. Took forever for someone to pick up the phone. Not sure of the gentleman's name, but I explained the situation about my vehicle. He immediately was combative and basically refused any of this so called "lifetime warranty" stuff. Told me to go back to the location who didn't fix my Silverado correctly the first time. Why would I go back to a place that did crap repairs again? I will just call my insurance company and find a better shop who can take care of my problems. read more

I had to wait about 10 days jusr to get an estimate. It was an estimate that didnt cover some of the issues. But i was told an appt date to start work on 8.7.23 so i had it towed there thinking they would begin work i was told 4 days ti.e. when i clld back 4 days later they hadnt even begun ti work on my. Do not ever use this shop! They had my vehicle for way too long. The company that hit me paid out of pocket. We had a hit and run in a parking lot recently and when a different body shop tore it apart, they found things were glued and not done right. I regret using this place. Do not make the same mistake! Update- 7/17 was when my car was in the shop. Today, I have spoken to Ryan the manager and Gary the Regional manager. They discussed the issues and reviewed pictures with the current body shop and have paid for the issues. They assured me that NONE of these people are working for Gerber currently. My original repair was not properly done and they admitted fault. These gentlemen were kind and on top of things. My issue was resolved in one business day. Another update- Auto Body Dimensions has yet to be paid. I'm hoping that this is made right. I understand people get busy but your shops are around the corner from each other. read more

Well, I was back again to Gerber Collision and Glass with my 2008 black Silverado truck. I had accidently met a cement pole while Christmas shopping in a garage. The staff at Gerber was terrific!! They kept me abreast of the status of my truck repair and ensured that it was completed in a timely fashion. My Silverado had to have quite a bit of work done to replace the rear quarter panel. OMG, Gerber did it again with another fabulous job!!! Don't hesitate to use Gerber....they really are the best! read more

I wouldn't let them paint a wheelbarrow... This is after taking the vehicle back 3 times. They had the vehicle for over 3 weeks total. Matt S. told me that Ryan said that this is the best they can do. Hilarious!!! I could do that with a spray can. Matt said that he looked at it a hundred times and he isn't looking at it again. So much for their "Warranty". News Flash!!! Looking doesn't fix things. Actually doing something about it does. Check out the dates on most of the reviews. Like the old saying. You are only as good as your last job. Should I mention the part about the fender molding missing screws the second time I pick it up or the door molding clips that were broken the third time I picked it up and Matt informed that they had re-attached it back on with double faced tape. What a bunch of clowns! I recant, Clowns is a compliment. Notice the fine attention to detail with the over-spray on the molding and the difference between the plain white and metallic three stage white on the bumper and fender. When I tried to show Matt S. the discrepancies I had found, he talked over me with BYE!, BYE!. What an A-hole. He shouldn't be managing anything. Let alone Customer Service. I have come to Gerber several times for auto repairs of one nature or another. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful - they seem genuinely interested in ensuring that you have a pleasant experience. They will happily answer questions, to the best of their ability, about insurance and estimated costs, and are very accommodating. They aim to be as informative as possible, and I love that they send you text message updates about your car's repair status. We have also found them to be very quick in their repairs, and they have several times finished the car earlier than scheduled. They have consistently taken care of us right on schedule when we have an appointment - no unnecessary waiting or delays. They also have a nice little waiting room with complimentary coffee and tea if you are there for a short period. read more

During my lifetime I have been to many auto body shops but the service I received from Gerber Collision has been by far the best. Great service from the get go, right from the first phone call to the way I was greeted when I took my car. Their personalized drop off and pick up service. They kept be updated via email on the progress and exceeded my expectations when the car was ready 2 days before the promised date. Very friendly staff but poor communication with customer. Vehicles ready date was moved and no one called to inform me that it wouldn't be ready on the date originally provided by the shop and didn't provide any info on why it was extended. When I received my vehicle back from the shop, I had dropped off with my truck at 145 miles till empty, and at pick up I was below 30 miles till empty. I was never informed where my truck was taken off the property that used all the gas nor was I informed that it was even leaving the property.... i only was able to put it together because they left another shops information in my truck. I received my truck back with new recent Clear coat scratches on the driver side. I also received my keys back from the shop and my key was bent to the point that my key almost got stuck in the ignition and was almost impossible to turn. I had to carefully bend the key back to shape to prevent my keys getting stuck in the ignition. I overall am not 100% satisfied with this shop. Do not take your vehicle here. read more

Completely unacceptable. Stay away. Was in an accident on 22 June. At my insurance company's recommendation, I took my Tahoe to True2Form in Crofton. At first, I was very satisfied, the staff were responsive, easy to work with and willing to answer any questions that I had. The shop looked great, everything seemed to be in order, so I had them place my parts on order, and planned on dropping my truck off once the parts came in. I was quoted 16 calendar days for the repair, the shop said that it was basically a 2 week job, adding in both weekends on either end and accounting for the 4th of July holiday right in the middle. After dropping the truck off and checking for progress, things seemed to be off to a slow start. After a week, nothing really seemed to have been accomplished. Expressing my concerns, the shop said that they had gotten "really slammed" with cars and had too much work. Nothing could happen on my truck until it got on the frame machine, but I was "next in line" and things would get moving. A week after that (now at the end of the originally quoted 2 weeks) I get a phone call. It wasn't the "Your vehicle is ready" that I was expecting, but a "We'd like to take your truck over to our Gaithersburg location where work can commence right away". I give my assent, and a few days later stop by the Gaithersburg shop to check things out, see the people and generally get a feel for where things stood. The production manager said all the right things, apologized for Crofton's misdeeds and assured me that now that the Tahoe was in his capable hands, everything was going to be OK. Unfortunately, he told me since Crofton did so little to my truck, he would need the whole 2 weeks to get the job done. Grudgingly, I agree and they get to work. Slowly 2 weeks turns into 3 (which is really 5 weeks, counting the 2 in Crofton), and I'm promised that my vehicle will be ready on Friday. When I speak to someone on the phone Friday afternoon, the news is bad. Very bad. No truck is going to be ready, but I am assured that they will have people working through the weekend and I'll be back on the road on Monday. At the end of my wits, I decide to take off work on Monday (this is now the 10th of August, into week 6 of our journey) and show up at the shop to see what the "real deal" is. I am appaled. My vehicle, the one that is supposed to have been ready on Friday and then worked through the weekend to be ready on Monday, is a complete mess. No doors installed. No fresh paint. The front end is dismantled, the windshield is missing and everything is sitting outside, covered in dirt and shop dust (inside and out). I am well and truly amazed that I didn't lose it right there, as livid as I was. I'm told "Wednesday or Thursday". I return home, and contact True2Form's corporate HQ to express my displeasure. I'm almost immediately contacted by all levels of management (including the CEO, whom I spoke with on the phone twice), promising me that they were going to make things right, and that their biggest concern was not rushing the job and turning out a quality product. I'm upset, but my rage is tempered by the fact that I'm virtually certain that I'm going to get back a Tahoe that looks as good as new. Sadly, I was wrong. I finally was able to get back the Tahoe that Saturday morning. Within 24 hours, I had worked up a laundry list of 18 different items that needed attention. Scratches down to bare metal inside the door frames. Unbelievable wind noise. Bolts not even finger tight. The following Monday, I meet again with folks from the insurance company and True2Form. They agree to make the necessary repairs, which take another week. Upon return, things still aren't right. There's still enough wind noise that I have to argue with my 4 year old that "No, Mommy's window isn't open, that's just the door making noise". A month after finally getting things back, the door still isn't closing right, and you can see where the welds holding the door hinge to the frame are starting to crack and rust. I am in the process of working with the insurance company to get another shop to fix the defects in True2Form's workmanship. I have absolutely no faith or confidence in their ability to complete the repair successfully. As if all of this wasn't enough, at the outset when it looked like things were going to be delayed, True2From offered to pick up my rental car when my insurance coverage ran out after a month. However, when it came time to pay the piper, it took days of phone calls back and forth between True2Form and the rental car company to get someone from True2Form to tell Enterprise that they would be paying and provide them with billing info. Fortunately the folks at Enterprise (Crofton) were awesome to work with and very understanding of my "I can't tell you when I'm going to return the car, and I'm also not planning on paying for it". Gerber Collision & Glass - My Truck, the day it was supposed to be ready. - Body Shops Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

I brought my car in to get a minor dent on my door repaired. When I returned two days later, I found that my $200 Ray-Ban sunglasses had been stolen out of the car. Obviously, it was my fault for leaving the glasses in the car, but I did hide the sunglasses in their case in the bottom of my center console (which means that whoever stole them had to do some searching to find them). I made the mistake of leaving the shop just to make sure that I didn't take my sunglasses into my apartment by mistake. When I called the shop immediately after arriving home, I was told rather harshly that I had signed a form that released Gerber of any liability. However, they said that they would look into it for me. Two weeks later, I called the shop back to see if they had found anything (I had not heard back from them). I was given the same speech about how it was my fault for not taking my sunglasses out of the car and that they were not liable. Again, I know that it's 100% my fault for being stupid enough to leave my sunglasses in the car, but I expected some sort of apology from a place that prides themselves on "customer service." Moral of the story: take your valuables out of your car when you go to Gerber! read more

Fantastic experience! After checking reviews and getting quotes, I chose Gerber and scheduled the work for Friday. Price was completely fair (all three quotes were about the same). They called Thursday to confirm the appointment, but I happened to mention I was home, and they said they could come do the work immediately. 20 minutes later they were at my house, and 20 minutes after that the job was done. Gerber and collision at Gaithersburg has great costumer service, from the moment I dropped my car, they called Enterprise and they came to pick me up in 5 minutes. They kept me informed of the progress of my repairs via email and also with a phone call, they finished the repairs prior to the time expected. My car was so clean they even vacuumed the inside, and it looks great. The manager even came out to inspect the car with me, to make sure I was happy with the repairs. It really was worry free. I recently had the unfortunate experience of taking my car to be repaired for one issue that came back with countless problems that I have to come out of pocket to fix. Prior to dropping my car off to be repaired everything was functional except for the drivers side door where I had my accident. I was told that the work will take about four days which turned out to be a week. When I called to follow up on the repairs I was given the run around that they were trying to locate the parts. When I came to collect my vehicle after some days I noticed a couple things. They never walked me out to inspect the car but accepted by check and handed me the keys. I tried opening the door with the remote and that didn't work, I had to use the key to get into the vehicle. I then walked over to the passenger side and noticed a plastic covering over the window. According to them the regulator just some how decided to fail and on top of that my sun-roof no longer works and I had to pay $200 for them the diagnose the problems that they caused in the first place. This was ABSOLUTELY the worst experience I have ever been through and would just like to share this with anyone that decides to take there car there for repairs... read more
