Nick was fired because he lied to me about my repair. The manager was transferred to another store. Then after 60+ days of having my vehicle, after finally securing the 84 parts for the repair, excluding the one I found with a 5 minute phone call that was on "back order for 3 months"... they tow my vehicle back to my driveway, unfixed. Then return all the parts I waited 2 months for. That's what I get for getting hit by an uninsured driver. AVOID THIS PLACE. REGARDING YOUR RESPONSE: You refused to address my concerns, instead you towed my vehicle back to my driveway, not repaired. Total rip off, I got a hot to the left side of the back pumper, Steve informed me that they have to change the whole pumper, I agreed, then the right side was hit before the appointment so they changed their mind, claiming that the insurance won't pay for the entire pumper replacement and only pay for the left side and I need to pay for the right side I felt that this is a steal, as the insurance would pay to replace the entire pumper not the cost of the half of it Stay away from their folks read more

I am really disappointed with my experience. I walked in to make an appointment after someone hit my car. I told them the insurance that the person who hit me had and they said they took that insurance. They later sent me an automated text cancelling my appointment with no explanation. I called them and they said they cancelled it bc they dont take that insurance. Such poor customer service. They need to be retrained on how to answer a phone as well. If my employee made a mistake by telling someone that we took an insurance that we actually did not I would have them calling the client and helping them find a new service provider. read more

Went to this location yesterday for 2 quotes on paint repair, was not impressed and will not be using their services. I called beforehand to set an appointment. I arrived prior to my appointment where I had to proactively get the receptionists attention as she was either oblivious to my presence or didn't feel the need to greet a customer. I then waited in the office for 20 minutes and was advised I could reschedule as they were in a meeting and she could not provide me what time the meeting will end. The meeting ended and I spoke with Alex. He seemed somewhat disinterested and laissez-fair about what for me is an expensive and unexpected expense. The good part is that he took pictures and stated he would email me an estimate, within half an hour, which he did. The bad part is that when he did get email me the estimate that it only included a quote on one of the two repairs. I replied to his email asking for the other estimate as well as an estimated timeframe and he has yet to reply. I will be using another shop that treated me better despite being $200.00 more. If there's these types of issues upfront then it is bound to be a nightmare once they start work. There are countless books on customer service and I would recommend that leadership research and provide to their team. read more

My experience with Gerber continues to be great. After about a year after the initial fender bender an odd problem cropped up in the form of parking assist sensor system failure. There was a possibility that the problem could be associated with the original body damage. Gerber had the problem diagnosed and repaired and said they will manage the insurance company claim and even if the insurance company doesn't cover the repairs they Gerber will take care of it. Wow! I am a business owner and we pride ourselves on customer service. I think we have met our match at Gerber on Victor. A loyal customer for good reason. read more

This is my second go around with Gerber and I knew my baby was in safe hands with them. Excellent customer service and I loved that they sent me updates via text and email. They left my car good as new. I really liked that they are one of State Farm's preferred vendors and I was able to coordinate everything through my claims adjuster. The estimated time to fix my car was accurate and they did a fantastic job. I also liked that I was able to leave my rental car and they drove it back to Hertz instead of having to figure out a ride. So I decided it had been far too long since I smashed in the front of my car, and one lovely afternoon it happened. Ugh. Gerber to the rescue. They were recommend by my insurance company (State Farm) and close to work, so they seemed like the perfect option. They got me in the next day for a basic estimate of repair charges and were able to get my car in just a few days later. My car ended up taking longer to fix than they had quoted, but I don't blame them. I had to call to follow up a bit too much, I wish they would have taken a bit more initiative with that. The rental car company picked me up at Gerber and when my car was finished I was able to just hand the rental car keys to the Gerber receptionist and be on my way. This made the process much easier. My car was repaired beautifully, it looks brand new!! They even did a few little extra things for me, like buffing out the film on my headlights. I did have to take my car back to them a couple days later because of over-spray on my windshield. They fixed it right away without any questions asked and were very apologetic. If you are unfortunate enough to smash your car, take it here. You will not be disappointed. read more

I took my vehicle to Gerber for an estimate to get work completed. The estimate was $600 under what they said the actual repair would cost and said it could even be more. I strongly suggest going elsewhere as I was formerly the general manager of a vehicle conversion facility that honored all quotes, as written. Extremely poor business practices. **UPDATE** As Jessica requested, I contacted the GM - after already speaking with him both in person and over the phone.....and got absolutely no where. To re-iterate my situation: 1) asked for estimate on a lightly crushed rear bumper on Silverado pick up. 2) original quote came back at $1,489 and turned this estimate in for reimbursement request on damage 3) contacted Gerber about getting work completed, GM informed that I can bring it in. 4) arrived to be informed that they need to re-quote the repair....which was now estimated at $2,189 AND I was informed that it could be higher 5) going elsewhere and I suggest not patronizing this company I was formerly employed at a vehicle conversion/upfitting company where it is required to honor any and all estimates. Gerber's business practices are unheard of. I can understand "missing" a quote by 10 or 15 percent.....but what happened here is ridiculous. **UPDATE** Yet another update....the GM was NOT trying to contact me. I phoned Jerome to have a third conversation. Nothing new as he informed me that this is normal business practice for Gerber. 3 stars, because my car was fixed and they provide a warranty on their work. An extra star was added to my review, see update below. However, my car repairs took 70% longer than originally estimated. The completion date was pushed back on 3 separate occasions due to errors made on their part (dents that were missed, parts that were ordered incorrectly). They did eventually offer to pay for a portion of my rental car during the extra time. However, they paid for only half the extra time, and this wasn't offered until after I called multiple times to question the status of my repair after the second push-back. This was overall a very frustrating process. Update: The GM Jerome called on a Monday. I returned his phone call the following Thursday. He apologized for the inconvenience and offered to contact Hertz to reimburse me for the full amount of extra time I had my rental car. read more

They are only a couple miles down the road, however, they are so personal and attentive that I feel like they are the "mom & pop" shop in my neighborhood. I wish I could meet the Gerber staff under better circumstances ... alas, we've met twice now and both times I was INCREDIBLY impressed. Gerber used to be Scottsdale Collision. I was originally referred by my insurance company (USAA). When I got there, the processes were explained in full detail, and I was kept in the loop throughout the entire process. The staff is awesome - both times Chuck assisted me. When the work was finished, my car looked brand new, was clean, and smelled great. Brought my car in last week to have Gerber Collision replace my front bumper, I picked it up that following Monday and to my surprise they not only did an amazing job replacing my bumper but also buffed out the haze that was all over my headlights as well as a few other scratches; my car looked 10 times better than before I had the accident! This shop was recommended by my insurance company. Received a physical copy of the repair estimate. My insurance company received a different lower estimate. Alex says that I was going to be a self pay even though the estimate shows my insurance company listed as paying. I wonder how many other customers they have done this too? I was hit by someone with insurance that was absolutely awful and gave me the run around. Carrie and Jazmin were so professional and helpful with my situation and got my car back quickly. I then had an issue with my bank when I tried to pay my card was declined but the bank still pulled the money from the account. Esurance referred me to Gerber. I had an excellent experience here. Gerber sent a tow truck to pull my Prius out of the quicksand! The tow truck driver was kind and smart and gave me good advice. The staff were very polite and intelligent and they offered to help me with things that were above and beyond the call of duty, especially in light of the fact that I decided to not get any work done on my car because the bumper on my Prius popped back into shape at the time it was towed. They set up all the paperwork so that I could very easily forward the documents to be reimbursed for the towing company charges. Pleasant, comfortable waiting room. read more

went to the the raintree location for an estimate after clean freak messed up my car. found more damage to my car later that day. called this location (san victor dr) to ask if they could add to the same estimate since I was in the area. "yes! of course." said the receptionist. when I arrived the general manager was instantly and clearly frustrated that someone told me that they were on the same system. "well who told you that! that's not the case at all, that's not true...! you need to go back to raintree." when I told him I spoke with the receptionist it was like I said, 'look there's a unicorn'. it was such an absurd notion that his receptionist would mislead a customer! after all, it's not like any other big corporation shares the same computer system amongst several stores. she made an assumption and he was total jerk about it. take responsibility and stop blaming the customers when you mess up! he was rude and essentially accused me of being 'in the wrong' although it was the fault of his employee. first impressions are everything in business, this was a very bad experience. You couldn't pay me to return to this place. zero stars. read more

I do not know how this location has 4 stars. I was assigned to this location by Geico since they have an adjuster that works at Gerber (even though the Raintree location is closer to where I live) and I have had nothing but continuous issues with my repairs. I was in an accident and my front right end was damaged and airbags went off. The date of when my car would be ready changed 4 times and I was not even called or updated on the change of dates by the person who handled my repairs (Aaron -- who I guess has now moved to another Gerber location). When I finally was able to pick up my car, as soon as I got in, my seat belt buckles were put in backwards and there was dust all over the upholstery and leather. Additionally, my passenger's side vent is broken and I found scratches in the plastic of the interior. I brought my car in a second time since it was supposed to be ready -- which it clearly is not -- and was told I would have these repaired and be updated and have yet to hear an update of when this will be resolved. Not to mention the fact that I will have to be put into another rental. With all of these smaller issues just with the interior, I seriously question the quality of the repairs with the engine and airbags and will have to have it inspected by VW. read more
