Incompetent and don't stand by their work. 2 days after supposedly clearing a blocked drain pipe, the pipe is blocked again. They are claiming it's a completely new issue - oh, and since it's now the weekend, that will be $400 to send someone out again. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. read more

Our kitchen sink and garbage disposal became clogged over the weekend. Gerhard Weise plumbers came out on Monday, which is the same day I called! Dijon and Chris worked on my sink and they addressed the clog efficiently, neatly and quickly. These two young men were SO polite, friendly, and professional. This company services our bldg. So, when a leak began pouring out of one of my light fixtures our management company told us to call them. We did as well as the person who lives above us. That was at 1pm. Their call service didn't inspire confidence. We didn't hear back and called again at 4pm. Same deal. Never heard back. At 7pm water started pouring out of other fixtures. And we finally had another plumber who was able to come out. But not even a courtesy call to say they were too busy to send anyone? Just blatantly ignoring what was specified as an emergency call? The amount of water damage that we could have avoided waiting for them to never return an emergency service call. Yeah. Spend your money somewhere else. These people aren't worth it. read more

Used this company because they are only one of two companies allowed to shut the water off in our complex. Took around 3 hours to change the valves. They were going back and forth to the company to get the correct supplies. Ending result two different valves used, sticking out too far and uneven. I called the company because they forgot to unclogged the kitchen sink. Not going to focus on how long it took to change the garbage disposal and not use all of the new parts. The owner came out and looked at the valve work done. Said, the valves don't stick out too far and are not uneven, and two different valves are ok. This is the shabbiest work I've ever seen a plumber do. It cost me $890.00. Will be reporting to the condo association. I would not recommend this company. read more

Plumbing. I recently used Gerhard Weise Plumbing. Save your money and possessions. Mark, the owner, stands over his assistant while Mark doesn't do anything except go to Home Depot and can't even differentiate nickel from silver for faucets. I wish I had glued my jewelry down (my fault that I erroneously left in a drawer), only to find it "gone" that evening. It was an extremely expensive and disappointing experience. Of course they did not take accountability for this, and I was only out with the owner for two minutes. The bill was outrageous, and I would NEVER, EVER recommend this company. Water heater leaked overnight at our condo. Got Gerhard Weise number as one of the recommended plumbers by the HOA. I called all of all of them and only GW team was able to be the site on the day and with better quote than the other guys. They are familiar with our building, where the elevator are, where the shut off is. etc. Discussed it over the phone what my existing water heater was, Lisa dispatched Mark to contact me to discuss further the existing tank. Mark gave me the estimate, the model number of the replacement. Came at the same day with the new tank. Installed it in a couple of hours, he had to get a new pan as it turns out the existing one was broken while removing the old tank. From the moment I called Lisa, they were quick to get the job done. Had a kitchen sink stoppage in our condo. Called our usual association plumbers to come by the same day due us being on the first floor and the potential for the other owners above us to run the dishwasher or sink which would overflow our sink. This vendor, selected by our complex's management company, caused a major fire to our condo complex because of their unsafe welding. Two homeowners were displaced as a result for over a year. Unfortunately our hoa uses this plumbing company and will not change them. They never follow through or book appointments and don't show up making me miss time from work. Highly recommended! We've been using Gerhard Weise Plumbing for years. They were originally recommended by our Realtor, who's also a neighborhood resident. They've been quick when we've had semi-emergencies and have always done great work. When we have a routine task, like a new toilet to install, they're on time, courteous and if they can't come when they said they would because of another emergency someone always calls to let us know. We're never left hanging. When we've had weird situations, like the sink in our lower level that drains upward (house built 1928), the plumbers collaborate and ask each other questions and work together to get things solved. They're also clear about explaining to us what the problem is and why it's challenging in a way we understand. Prices are reasonable. Even our dogs love the Gerhard Weise plumbers! Gerhard Weise Plumbing was recommended by my condo building's HOA president. At first, I was very pleased with them. They came out in a timely manner and completed the job well. However, I'm beginning to feel very frustrated with their administration. I received a bill and have called on 3 separate occasions to pay my bill. Each time I've left a message with an administrator and have not received a return call. Despite my efforts to pay, the company sent me a late bill notice. Is it my responsibility to track them down to pay a bill? I've done all I can do, and I feel that it's their responsibility to return my calls if they'd like to receive payment. read more

Their receptionist claimed it was a bigger problem, then lied about what I said. They came to my house, asked no questions, and did the most expensive thing possible. I have called these guys for a few different things in the past and always found them reliable and professional. Today we had a burst pipe that flooded the bathroom before we could figure out how to turn off the water. The dipatcher sent someone over immediately. He fixed the problem very quickly and checked that we had everything turned back on again properly. I would only say that I wish they had a better call-receiving system. I had to call twice to get someone to pick up and then a call later went to a voice mail but maybe that was just how the day was going over there. This is a really good company. I'm surprised to learn these guys have an online presence, because they are so busy trying to satisfy their customers in the field; I would think that they have no other time left in the day...Our leak began while on vacation and coming home to a dripping sound under the sink pretty much ends your vacation mode. I called and requested non-emergency services and was given an appointment for the next day. On the same day I called, they called me back to show-up early that evening to take a look. They diagnosed the need for a new faucet, came back the next day to install it and the whole thing was back together, dry and functioning before the original appointment time had elapsed!
