Assortment of pizza by the slice
    Robert W.

Giacomo's was THE place to get pizza growing up in Spackenkill. Everyone would go here with their families, their friends, order in from here, etc. The Spackenkill soccer team used to even have dinners here the day before big games. Giacomo's is definitely known for its pizza, but they have a bunch of other options from appetizers like fries or mozzarella sticks, to pasta dishes, to salads, they have almost everything. The huge problem with Giacomo's is the inconsistency. In the early 2000's, this place was the pinnacle of pizza. Everyone agreed that this was the best in town. However, over the years, their quality/service began to slip (especially delivery) and their pizzas were hit-or-miss and you could sometimes be waiting nearly 2 hours for a pizza delivery. Sometimes, you get the best pizza of your life and sometimes you get a really mediocre one. It is all a game of chance. It does however, bring back so much nostalgia for me either way. My go to's are the original cheese pie, Sicilian, spicy chicken, grandma, and the garlic knots.

    CBR pizza...chicken, bacon, ranch

The most delicious Stracciatella soup I've ever had... Hence the empty bowl. The soup is a 5. The chicken bacon ranch pizza could use some modifications as it was too salty, greasy, and the crust on the bottom was soggy.... However, tasty. The ambience is a 2 as pizza boxes are stored in the dining room. The service is a 5 as the waitress was super super friendly. I'm impressed by all of the specialty pie varieties and their extensive menu. This place will be my forever go to for Stracciatella soup... Enjoy Challenge: how thin and crisp can you make your regular pies?

Giacomos going above and beyond to brighten my daughter's day

Stopped in on a busy weeknight with my kids to grab a slice and after a long day at school my daughter was a little grumpy. Not sure if it was the owner or manager who stepped in but after trying to cheer her up didn't work, he brought her a very special surprise. Custom "black olive happy face pizza". Meltdown averted! This is why Giacomos is one of our faves. Thank you!

    Sicilian pizza

The best Sicilian around! I have tried Sicilian slices all over the state and the Sicilian slice was so good I went back and got a full pie! Staff was helpful and store was clean! Definitely going back!

A Grandma pizza, "disguised" with pepperoni.

I was visiting friends who lived nearby, and we decided to order take-out pizza from this location. We ordered their favorite, the Grandma pizza, with pepperoni added. It didn't take long for it to be ready, and the amount of pepperoni added was quite impressive. It was slightly greasy, but that was ok. The crust was softer than I expected, which has been my experience at other Giacomo's, so I guess it's more of their style; I do prefer it crispier. What I did like was the crushed tomatoes on the Grandma pizza, which gave it a moist, fresh taste without it being overwhelmed by sauce. The pizza didn't "wow" me, but I did enjoy it.

"No-onions?" Suffice it to say that is NOT just red cabbage. I ordered a $60 delivery and NO onions on the salad due to a food allergy.

PIZZA WITH A SIDE OF ARROGANCE IN EVERY BITE This review is about the Giacomos SPAKENKILL location DELIVERY service. MY ORDER: CHX Parm dinner with linguini-($15) Specified NO ONION on salad(due to allergy), 2 large cheese well done (24.90-@25% above market pricing) 2 orders Mozz sticks ($15---rediculous) Lauren was polite and had entered the order correctly in the system. She also made sure that NO ONIONS WAS COMMUNIATED TO THE KITCHEN. I was told the delivery would be @1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes). I live @ 5-7 minutes away, but I agreed, PROVIDING I received the food HOT.[ I have gotten luke-warm pizza from there before]. We RECEIVED the order nearly AN HOUR LATER than the promised time-a total of 1;50 minutes from the order time. I work in the hospitality industry and know this was not the the delivery man's fault. The food was a cliche=Cold pizza, COLD Chicken Parm-the cheese had cooagulated into a hard mess. AND My salad had red onions all over it. (I have a food allergy- that could have made me really sick). All for $60 plus tip. I called the restaurant to complain and was bounced around, finally was told I had the owner who gave me nothing but excuses. Finally, after seeing I was still upset, he told me he would give me a "free pizza and dinner on my NEXT order". Why wait to do the right thing? And what guarantee would I have had that I would have received the order for free? I really use to love the food, but Giacomos is getting arrogant. They must think that they are the only pizzeria in town. NEXT TIME, I WILL CALL ONE OF THE OTHER 11 PIZZERIAS. I ordered a $60 delivery and NO onions on the salad due to a food allergy. It was delieverd an hour late, cold and with enough onions to send me to the ER. PS Hey, YELP, why are the older GOOD reviews coming up on top of the newer ones?

This is what I expected to receive

I have been a customer for years and this pizza was a total disappointment. The basil was cooked and about half what it should have been. The picture from the website looks amazing

Caesar salad over $6. Do not recommend.

Mediocre pizza at best. Better choices for a great slice or pie: La Luna, DD's, A Touch of Naples, Goodfellas, Nonna's...the list goes on

So I got the ambassador pizza, flaky crunchy crust, gooey cheese, savory tomato sauce and very salty pepperoni what's not to love. Chicago deep dish is hard to come by but here it's nailed just right. For ice cream sandwich man very good, love the crust and ice cream was so smooth, I do wish I came in season they had strawberry one, but this one was very good regardless. Definitely want to try the chicken parm pizza next visit

The place has two seating arrangements in the periphery and one big community table in the middle that could fit maybe 10 or more. There's also bar style sitting overlooking the pizza makers. Overall, the place is small, but just enough. Take out folks come in to the cashier as well. Getting your pizza will take a while though. This is not your neighborhood pizzeria where you get a premade pizza and slap some toppings and 5 minutes later you got your pie. No folks, this is order pizza and wait about 20+ minutes for my pizza to arrive. I'm sure the take out folks may have something to do with it too. We will definitely be back to try the other creations.

I really enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and simplicity of good ingredients with good equipment and technique. Nothing was being hidden, instead every component was highlighted. The dough was crispy and just taken from the oven, and the boar was juicy and made the pizza incredibly savory. I would really recommend this place. My friend who's lived in italy approved!

We were seated in the back near the pizza oven, which ended up being the best seat in the house because we got to meet Austin. He was absolutely fantastic. The energy, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality he brought to the experience made the evening so special. Mike was our server and he was also wonderful, checking in often and making sure everything was perfect. They had unfortunately run out of chicken parmesan, but instead of simply saying it wasn't available, they made it from scratch just for my husband. It was easily one of the best chicken parmesans we have ever had. The sauce was so incredible that we could not stop talking about it. Austin overheard us and, without us even asking, brought over a full bowl of the sauce so we could dip our pizza crust in it. That level of attention and care is something you rarely see. I ordered the New York style pizza and it was absolutely delicious. They use sourdough and King Arthur's flour, and you can truly taste the difference. The flavor and texture were outstanding. When we finished, they asked if we wanted dessert. We were hesitant because we were already so full, but Austin encouraged us to try their vanilla cheesecake and we are so glad he did. It was honestly some of the best cheesecake we have ever had. Between the phenomenal food, the thoughtful service, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere, this place completely exceeded our expectations. Experiences like this are rare and truly special. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

It slightly pains me to write this review, as my first experience at Cosimo's was soooooo good…read more Let's get on with it tho. We visited on the Friday before V-day, the house was packed around 18:30. The wait was 45 mins which wasn't too bad for a Friday night. We decided to wait in the lobby after trying to find a cozy waiting spot near the bar and missing. My wife attempted to order me a mocktail, but of course the bar was crazy busy. When the bartender finally acknowledged her, the mocktail requests obviously threw the bartender for a loop because I ended up with watered down ginger beer and a sprig of mint. My advice for anyone looking for a virgin drink at this bar would be to order a club soda with lime and call it a night. We were seated at the 45 min mark, and were escorted to the packed bar, where they have some exterior tables for diners. My seat was in the middle of the couch split, which I found mighty uncomfortable so we opted to request a seat in the main dining room, which the staff happily obliged. With dinner we ordered hot tea and were given lukewarm water and a choice of Stash teas. Our beverage experience here was very disappointing. The calamari arrived and may have been the only highlight, although we didn't find it to have that fresh calamari texture. My wife ordered a ravioli with mushroom, and felt the pasta and veggies were just swimming in butter. I ordered my steak medium and it was okay, but the juices from the greens made the croquettes soggy, and unenjoyable. The server did his best, and all the staff here are so kind. Coulda been an off night but I doubt we'll be back anytime soon. The Mocktail Madam.
