I use to come here as a kid with my family and it always held a special place in our hearts. Returned today with my wife and kids and enjoyed it as much as when I was a kid. Great cheeseburger and fries!!! Topped it off with a chocolate dipped cone. Yummmm...... The staff was busy doing their thing behind he counter and not overly friendly but was professional and got our food to us in a timely manner and it was hot and fresh. I've never experienced any of the negative things I've read about in some of the reviews. I have seen many of the patrons treat the counter person like crap and not leave a tip. We stopped in here for a late meal after a great day at the lake. I was really looking forward to a good burger and I was so disappointed! The patty on my burger was poorly seasoned and all of the fried food tasted slightly of fish/old cooking oil. Other complaints from our group included tasteless or overly sweet shakes and greasy sweet potato fries. The service was maybe a little better, they were pleasant even though our large group with indecisive kids can be rather trying on the patience. I've been in the Arnold area for over 30 years. I've been to Giant Burger a number of times, but less and less as the quality has gone in the tank. Well, decided to give it one more try tonight, and I can say I will never be back. We ordered a couple of Giant Bacon burgers with pepper jack cheese, along with a couple of sides of fries, and 2 malts. Neither burger had pepper jack, one had no bacon, and the burgers overall tasted far worse than McDonalds. The fry container wasn't even filled 2/3 of the way to the top, and the malts had the consistency of water. $30 bucks for this crap. I always try to support the local businesses, but this is beyond bad. Save yourself some money and drive another 6 miles to the Lube Room where you'll get an exceptional burger. read more

I came here at 645 right when they were about to close! The 2 employees that were closing up were so kind and helped me with my order.. I just woke up from a nap and wasn't all there so I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to order for my kids.. I got the kids chicken for my son and 2corn dogs for my daughter. I'm staying at the Timberland Lodge and it was sooo close to walk to! So once we got back I set the kids up and couldn't help myself to their fries!! So good! We had lunch here and overall the food was ok. Nice patio/outdoor area where our dogs were welcome. Our order took a while but food was hot when we picked it up. I admit I don't eat burgers etc. very often, but after a long hike, a blt and shake sounded delicious. I ordered by phone, and he said 20 min. Boo! When I got there he told me I had to wait in line ( behind 4 people, menus in hand, placing large orders). Oh well. He was very nice. I got my order and took it home ( I left them a $5 tip because I saw they worked so hard). When I got home I was disgusted to see my bread slathered with what looked like about a half a cup of mayo ( I said no mayo), and the shake was so watery. What happened??? Delicious burgers and excellent service! My father and I stopped here for a quick bite a few weeks ago while vacationing. The parking lot is slightly slanted down. When we were leaving and trying to back out our back tires were spinning in the icy snow! we were stuck! The workers were super helpful and tried everything to help us get out. Unfortunately nothing worked, we were in need of a pull. I was on the phone with AAA when the Manager of Giants burger told me to wait. She had called her daughter to come out to pull us out. Do not go to this place. The employees look very unclean. They do not communicate properly. When I came to pick up my order, there was an argument and bitterness between two employees. On top of that, my order was not fully complete in my bag when it was handed to me. I ordered the chicken strip and fries meal. I paid 7$ for greasy burnt fries and three thin, unseasoned, chicken strips. I could go to a fast food chain with the same amount of money and get something of more quality. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Your better off going further down the street to the Dollar General and buying frozen nuggets and heating them in the microwave. At least you get full. Thought for sure this place would be delicious being that it has been here a long time and we have driven past it for years. Today was our first and last time eating here. Our food was burnt and our order was wrong. They handed me a extremely burnt corn dog for my 5 year old which I was able to switch out for a mildly less burnt corn dog. Our onion rings were burnt to the point where if thrown they would definitely break a window. The cheese was forgotten on all the burgers so they more than happy to fix it by throwing some cold cheese on top. For the price we paid I was expecting so much more. Stopped here after fishing in the Sierra's. After a long day and few small fish caught, was definitely hungry and in need of a large meal! Ordered the double bacon Giant Burger and got onion rings instead of fries, also a cherry malt Shake. Burger was cooked perfectly onion rings were super crunchy beer battered, and the Cherry malt Shake remind me of my childhood! This place used to have great burgers, but they have made changes this past year that have not been well received by my family or friends. We used to frequent giant burger fairly regularly, but no one in my family wants to go anymore because the quality of food has deteriorated. The burger patties are smaller than they used to be and simply do not taste the same. The bun is now much larger than the burger. Also, we have not had properly cooked french fries or sweet potato fries in over a year. It's inconceivable that a restaurant can prepare soggy fries. Seems like they invested in upgrading the front counter at the expense of the quality of food. Unfortunately, I don't see us returning anytime soon until we hear from others that they are putting out decent food again. read more

Ordered our food, we were told there would be a 30 minute wait. We weren't in a hurry, so that was fine. Our order was up. We got the window to get our food. The chili cheesefries had a plastic wrapper in it. I see it, and tell the girl before I take them. She just looks at me when I tell her. I then pull it out to show her and leave it on the counter. No response, so I say, "well I hope there isn't any more plastic in them." She says "ok." I'm stunned.. No replacement offered. The we sit down. One of the bacon cheeseburgers we order has no bacon or cheese. There is just meat and a bun. I go back to tell the same girl. She hands me A few pieces of a bacon and a cold slice of cheese. I say "you can't put this on the burger and warm it?" She says, " no we can't take the food back." Again DOES NOT offer to replace it. The we realize there is No mayo, or mustard either. I have to go back and ask she's annoyed. As I'm at the window waiting, the cooks are throwing burger buns around. She's got to wipe Down her arm before she gets my mayo. We won't be back.$65 spent on food and we couldn't even get what we ordered. :( read more

Good sized burgers with delicious options for drinks and fries, they have especially great shakes and soft serve ice cream. The burgers here are as they say "giant", this is not a flimsy, plasticky, Mc Donalds or Burger King burger, this is a large, thick, and juicy burger. They had sweet potato fries, which were a must. Every summer after a long day at the lake, we would always come back for softserve ice cream. The ice cream is always at least 6 inches tall and a great value. This is a great burger place that is local, not fast food, and good quality. I would come here for a great, tasty, filling, and good value meal anytime. read more
