The best thing about the food is that they have Cajun seasoning at the table that you can overload your food with, making it taste slightly more edible. This hardly fixes the fries, though, which might be the worst part about it, emphasizing the dryness of the restaurant's to a degree that can only be compared to a sprawling baking desert in the middle of July. And you can forget about healthier eating options here. All of it is mediocre at best. It would be nice to recommend a local business like this. Unfortunately, it's impossible to do that in this case. This is my second attempt to locate decent Italian food in the Santee area. I thought this time I would try delivery and avoid the hour and a half wait time I experienced at Italia across the street a week ago. First of all, the price is ridiculous - $17 for a small pizza (about 12 inches). I was told about a half hour for delivery - it took a little over an hour. It was luke warm and not completely cut through in slices -it was difficult to cut with a sharp steak knife. After microwaving two pieces I finally got my first taste. I don't know who the cook is but he should be immediately dismissed from service! It had no flavor or spice to it. It was in fact very chewy, tasteless and dull. Unbelievably, I would choose to eat Domino's or Pizza Hut - both taste MUCH better, cost a third as much and guarantee 30 minute delivery! Avoid Giant Pizza King in Santee at all costs. You will be very disappointed and angry. If I had to wait for pick-up as long as it took to get our pizza delivered I would have canceled the order and walked out. I hope this is not a franchise because this location should be shut down! read more

My first time was during the preseason Chargers game! it was right after the game, the team had already lost and I was a little upset with my boyfriend and we ordered a Gyro plate and a Eggplant parmesan and got some Ravioli and Slices to go...and the cashier was so nice he gave us two free slices of cheesecake (i was guessing he knew we were first time customers) he said it was to cheer us up cause of the game! It was really nice of him! Everything all together costed us about 30 bucks! Pretty good price considering the eggplant and the ravioli each came with a salad and garlic bread! I have never had such a great pizza. I placed an order for delivery and they told me it would take 45-60 mins but it was on my front porch with 30 mins. There was no knock on my door, no doorbell rung, no text message, notification or anything to notify me when food was delivered. When I finally found the food it was ice cold. Not lukewarm, it was cold. I notified the pizza shop, the person who claimed they were the manager/ owner was rude, he didn't care and told me to take it up with slice. I filed a complaint with slice, they didn't care either. This is totally bizarre and shady business practice. I would AVOID this place at all costs.

I don't know what is motivating them to pretend to have a vegan side business that they do not have, but it is extremely bizarre and DANGEROUS! People can have serious anaphylactic responses to dairy and they can put someone in the hospital by falsely advertising like this.

We skipped dessert this time. Our pizza was better the second day! The way they prepare mushrooms was the way my hometown pizza place did. And the CHEESE! So delicious and melt-y!!!! Enjoy it
