Feels like your at a yacht club, they had a live band playing some great hits. You can't go wrong at this place. Parking maybe a challenge and the line to get a table maybe long but it does move fast. I had the chicken sandwich with mozzarella and sause and roasted red peppers it was very good. Great portions, came with a side of fries which complimented the food.

I don't feel bad saying your service could be better because I've read a lot of reviews about that and last night. A few of your servers could've done a lot better. I don't need to be treated rude to my friends who are not even from around here. Don't even wanna go back we kept us here was your food is good and the band don't tell Lisa is the reason we came. You know what you need friendly servers some seem annoyed when we call for help to get a drink etc.... Why should we flag people down when we're sitting there? Shouldn't they come over and say do you want another drink or are you ready to order? I think 20 minutes is ridiculous to wait to order food once we have a drink!! So we eventually got moved to a table and it wasn't 10 minutes. It was 45 minutes, but that was fine. We ended up eating at the bar. We then moved to our table. I'm not even gonna get into that server. He seemed annoyed that we had already got our drinks and food at the bar. We are waiting for another friend to come and she didn't want anything to eat because she was just coming by to say hi and listen to the band she already ate and she was late. It was close to 9 o'clock when she got there. So the food was delicious that's why I gave it two stars but if I had to, I would give the Service one when you have a big patio like that you should have a better organized. We go out all the time you should have a couple of those front tables move back more so people can dance you know you're gonna have a big crowd with that band. Don't tell Lisa maybe plan better.

I was visiting Connecticut last week for wedding and staying with some friends in Middletown. I arrived on a Tuesday night with a hungry stomach so we figured Eli Cannon's was an easy spot to hit up. I went here many, many, many years ago when I still lived in Connecticut (I live in LA now) but don't remember much of the experience other then what the inside looks like and man, it still looks the exact freaking same. We arrived around 8PM and got seated right away. The staff was super attentive with providing drinks and menus and the kitchen staff had the food out super quick as well. I kept it simple and ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap with a side of french fries and really enjoyed it. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap tasted great and the hot sauce wasn't overpowering. The french fries here were crispy and tasted great, the perfect pairing for a late night bite (look, eating out at 8PM is late for me). Overall, Eli Cannon's is mostly a bar, but is also a pretty solid place to grab a bite to eat. The place truly is Middletown and with friends living nearby, I can definitely see myself returning in the future for some night time grub.

Great for the warmer months when joined by a couple of friends. I am giving this a 3 stars because the last time me & my partner visited we did not get the same welcoming attitudes which we experienced in our previous visits. Another weird vibe I got was when I was ordering another round of beers for both my boyfriend and I -- my order was taken last despite standing/waiting at the bar before other patron's. I was the only woman standing there so I am not sure if this had something to do with it.... Definitely a college bar-type atmosphere. I will say the crispy brussels & spinach and artichoke dip were tasty and cooked very well.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Lots of people are afraid of dive bars for some reason. I don't know if it's because of the stuff they see in movies or what, but they're some of the best places to come! Everyone is friendly, no one is judgmental, folks just kinda mesh together! There is a private parking lot out front as this place is literally located next to Jerry's Pizza. I'm assuming they're owned by the same folks. Once inside you'll see the bar to the right, dining to the left then the pool tables and bathrooms all the way in the back. There's a TouchTunes digital jukebox here so you can play whatever kind of music you want loudly throughout the restaurant. Lol. Service: It seemed as if 1 to 2 lovely ladies were running the bar and the whole restaurant by themselves. They were doing an excellent job making sure we were all taken care of and I was quite impressed. Food: I came for the WWWIIINNNGGGSSS. We tried the Mango Habanero, Sweet Thai Chili and Thai Peanut Butter & Jelly. They were all just okay. I don't like breading on my wings. It just adds carbs and makes the wings "look" bigger. Like stuffing a bra... you feel me? Out of the 3, I think the Mango Habanero would've been my favorite, but overall I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for wings. Sorry. :-/ Value: I can't recall how much wings were, but they weren't expensive at all. You won't break the bank eating here, no matter what you get. In conclusion... this place is cool. I wouldn't get the wings here again, but I'd certainly be willing to try other things on the menu for sure.

It is our mission to try all of the wing flavors. It's a great local bar on the south side of town, where there are not as many bars and restaurants. We are not often in Middletown, but we will definitely be back. This is a great place to stop, and I 10000% recommend it. Of course, I had the gluten-free veggie pizza, and I added pineapple because I am a pineapple-on-pizza person. Sue me, I am an islander. My partner had the shrimp pizza, not gluten-free, and ordered a medium. The size was honestly obscene for a medium. He kept asking to drive back down there every day after because he wanted it again. Definitely returning.

They do offer a free lot in the back, but judging by all the cars, Mondo is very popular on a Friday evening. Sure enough, there was a big line of people picking up orders, but we walked right in and were seated immediately. We started off with a beet salad, which was surprisingly delicious, combining candied walnuts and sweet orange and green apple slices with salty feta and tangy balsamic over a mountain of mixed greens. We then moved on to paninis, generous portions of meat and toppings on freshly baked, crispy bread. One of us chose more mixed greens tossed with dressing while the other chose crunchy French fries. We also ordered a third panini to go, the Mondo combo. We asked for fries; the kitchen accidentally gave us a salad. Our server, Heather N., saved the day by noticing the error and giving us both side orders. Mondo is family friendly, and there were plenty of children during our visit. As such, the volume was a tad loud and boisterous, but nothing obnoxious that would prevent us from returning.
